ਸੋਈ ਲੀਯੋ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਜ ਬੀਰ ॥
soee leeyo kar dij beer |

The water that oozed out from the eye of Shukracharya, the King took it in his hand.

ਕਰਿ ਨੀਰ ਚੁਵਨ ਨ ਦੀਨ ॥
kar neer chuvan na deen |

ਇਮ ਸੁਆਮਿ ਕਾਰਜ ਕੀਨ ॥੧੯॥
eim suaam kaaraj keen |19|

Shukracharya did not allow the water to leak and in this way, tried to protect his master from destruction.19.

CHAUPAI

ਚਛ ਨੀਰ ਕਰ ਭੀਤਰ ਪਰਾ ॥
chachh neer kar bheetar paraa |

ਵਹੈ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਦਿਜਹ ਕਰਿ ਧਰਾ ॥
vahai sankalap dijah kar dharaa |

When the water (from the eye) oozed out on the hand of the King, he gave it as alms, notionally, on the hand of the Brahmin.

ਐਸ ਤਬੈ ਨਿਜ ਦੇਹ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥
aais tabai nij deh badtaayo |

ਲੋਕ ਛੇਦਿ ਪਰਲੋਕਿ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੦॥
lok chhed paralok sidhaayo |20|

After this the dwarf expanded his body, which became so huge that it touched the heavens after penetrating through this world.20.

ਨਿਰਖ ਲੋਗ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਬਿਸਮਏ ॥
nirakh log adabhut bisame |

ਦਾਨਵ ਪੇਖਿ ਮੂਰਛਨ ਭਏ ॥
daanav pekh moorachhan bhe |

Seeing this, al the people were wonder-struck and visualizing such a huge form of Vishnu, the demons became unconscious.

ਪਾਵ ਪਤਾਰ ਛੁਯੋ ਸਿਰ ਕਾਸਾ ॥
paav pataar chhuyo sir kaasaa |

ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਏ ਲਖਿ ਲੋਕ ਤਮਾਸਾ ॥੨੧॥
chakrit bhe lakh lok tamaasaa |21|

The feet of Vishnu touched the nether-worlds and the head touched the heavens all were non-plussed on seeing this.21.

ਏਕੈ ਪਾਵ ਪਤਾਰਹਿ ਛੂਆ ॥
ekai paav pataareh chhooaa |

ਦੂਸਰ ਪਾਵ ਗਗਨ ਲਉ ਹੂਆ ॥
doosar paav gagan lau hooaa |

With one step, he measured the nether-world and with the second step he measured the heavens.

ਭਿਦਿਯੋ ਅੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
bhidiyo andd brahamandd apaaraa |

ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਗਿਰੀ ਗੰਗ ਕੀ ਧਾਰਾ ॥੨੨॥
tih te giree gang kee dhaaraa |22|

In this way, Vishnu touched the whole universe and the current of Ganges began to flow down from the whole universe.22.

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਭੂਪ ਅਚੰਭਵ ਲਹਾ ॥
eih bidh bhoop achanbhav lahaa |

ਮਨ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਬਚਨ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੁਐ ਰਹਾ ॥
man kram bachan chakrit huaai rahaa |

In this way, the king was also astonished and remained puzzled in mind, word and deeds.

ਸੁ ਕੁਛ ਭਯੋ ਜੋਊ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
su kuchh bhayo joaoo sukr uchaaraa |

ਸੋਈ ਅਖੀਯਨ ਹਮ ਆਜ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥੨੩॥
soee akheeyan ham aaj nihaaraa |23|

Whatever Shukracharya had said, the same had happened and he himself had seen all this with his own eyes on that day.23.

ਅਰਧਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਅਪਨੋ ਮਿਨਿ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
aradh dehi apano min deenaa |

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੈ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਜਸੁ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
eih bidh kai bhoopat jas leenaa |

For the remaining half a step, the king Bali got measured his own body and earned approbation.

ਜਬ ਲਉ ਗੰਗ ਜਮੁਨ ਕੋ ਨੀਰਾ ॥
jab lau gang jamun ko neeraa |

ਤਬ ਲਉ ਚਲੀ ਕਥਾ ਜਗਿ ਧੀਰਾ ॥੨੪॥
tab lau chalee kathaa jag dheeraa |24|

As long as there is water in the Ganges and Yamuna, till that time the story of his time the story of this enduring king will be narrated.24.

ਬਿਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਛ ਹੁਐ ਕਹਾ ॥
bisan prasan pratachh huaai kahaa |

Vishnu was then pleased and manifesting himself said

ਚੋਬਦਾਰੁ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਹੁਐ ਰਹਾ ॥
chobadaar duaare huaai rahaa |

“O king I shall be a watchmen and servant at your gate myself

ਕਹਿਯੋ ਚਲੇ ਤਬ ਲਗੈ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥
kahiyo chale tab lagai kahaanee |

ਜਬ ਲਗ ਗੰਗ ਜਮੁਨ ਕੋ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੨੫॥
jab lag gang jamun ko paanee |25|

And as long as there will be water in the Ganges and Yamuna, the story of your charity will be narrate.25.

DOHRA

ਜਹ ਸਾਧਨ ਸੰਕਟ ਪਰੈ ਤਹ ਤਹ ਭਏ ਸਹਾਇ ॥
jah saadhan sankatt parai tah tah bhe sahaae |

Wherever the saints are in distress, the Non-temporal Lord comes there for help.

ਦੁਆਰਪਾਲ ਹੁਐ ਦਰਿ ਬਸੇ ਭਗਤ ਹੇਤ ਹਰਿਰਾਇ ॥੨੬॥
duaarapaal huaai dar base bhagat het hariraae |26|

The Lord, coming under the control of His devotee, became his gate-keeper.26.

ਅਸਟਮ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਬਿਸਨ ਅਸ ਧਰਾ ॥
asattam avataar bisan as dharaa |

ਸਾਧਨ ਸਬੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਾਰਥ ਕਰਾ ॥
saadhan sabai kritaarath karaa |

In this way, Vishnu, manifesting himself as the eighth incarnation, gratified all the saints.

ਅਬ ਨਵਮੋ ਬਰਨੋ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ ॥
ab navamo barano avataaraa |

ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਚਿਤ ਲਾਇ ਸੁ ਧਾਰਾ ॥੨੭॥
sunahu sant chit laae su dhaaraa |27|

Now I describe the ninth incarnation, which may please be listened to and understood correctly by all the saints..27.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਬਾਵਨ ਅਸਟਮੋ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਬਲਿ ਛਲਨ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੮॥
eit sree bachitr naattak granthe baavan asattamo avataar bal chhalan samaapatam sat subham sat |8|

End of the description of VAMAN, the eighth incarnation of Vishnu and the deception of the king BALI in BACHITTAR NATAK.8.

ਅਥ ਪਰਸਰਾਮ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
ath parasaraam avataar kathanan |

Now begins the description of Parashuram Incarnation:

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਜੀ ਸਹਾਇ ॥
sree bhgautee jee sahaae |

Let Sri Bhagauti Ji (The Primal Lord) be helpful.

ਪੁਨਿ ਕੇਤਿਕ ਦਿਨ ਭਏ ਬਿਤੀਤਾ ॥
pun ketik din bhe biteetaa |

ਛਤ੍ਰਨਿ ਸਕਲ ਧਰਾ ਕਹੁ ਜੀਤਾ ॥
chhatran sakal dharaa kahu jeetaa |

Then a long period of time elapsed and the Kshatriyas conquered all the earth.

ਅਧਿਕ ਜਗਤ ਮਹਿ ਊਚ ਜਨਾਯੋ ॥
adhik jagat meh aooch janaayo |

ਬਾਸਵ ਬਲਿ ਕਹੂੰ ਲੈਨ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੧॥
baasav bal kahoon lain na paayo |1|

They considered themselves as the most high and their strength became unlimited.1.

ਬਿਆਕੁਲ ਸਕਲ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਭਏ ॥
biaakul sakal devataa bhe |

ਮਿਲਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਬਾਸਵ ਪੈ ਗਏ ॥
mil kar sabh baasav pai ge |

Realising this all the gods were worried and went to Indra and said:

ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਧਰੇ ਸਭੁ ਅਸੁਰਨ ॥
chhatree roop dhare sabh asuran |

ਆਵਤ ਕਹਾ ਭੂਪ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਮਨਿ ॥੨॥
aavat kahaa bhoop tumare man |2|

“All the demons have transformed themselves as Kshatriyas, O King! Now tell us your view about it.”2.
