ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਚਲੈ ਰਣ ਕੋ ਸਬ ਬੀਰਾ ॥
tayaag chalai ran ko sab beeraa |All brave warriors are impatient
ਲਾਜ ਬਿਸਰ ਗਈ ਭਏ ਅਧੀਰਾ ॥
laaj bisar gee bhe adheeraa |All the warriors, abandoning their shyness and getting impatient left the battlefield and ran away.
ਹਿਰਿਨਾਛਸ ਤਬ ਆਪੁ ਰਿਸਾਨਾ ॥
hirinaachhas tab aap risaanaa |Then Hirankashpa himself got angry
ਬਾਧਿ ਚਲ੍ਯੋ ਰਣ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਗਾਨਾ ॥੨੮॥
baadh chalayo ran ko kar gaanaa |28|Seeing this, Hirnayakashipu himself in great ire, moved forward for waging war.28.
ਭਰਿਯੋ ਰੋਸ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਸਰੂਪੰ ॥
bhariyo ros narasingh saroopan |At that time Narsingh form also got angry
ਆਵਤ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਮੁਹੇ ਰਣਿ ਭੂਪੰ ॥
aavat dekh samuhe ran bhoopan |Seeing the Emperor coming towards him, Narsingh also got infuriated.
ਨਿਜ ਘਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਰੋਸ ਨ ਮਾਨਾ ॥
nij ghaavan ko ros na maanaa |He did not rage for his wounds,
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸੇਵਕਹਿ ਦੁਖੀ ਰਿਸਾਨਾ ॥੨੯॥
nirakh sevakeh dukhee risaanaa |29|He did not care for his wounds, because he was in extreme agony of seeing the suffering on his devotees.29.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥

ਕੰਪਾਈ ਸਟਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਰਜ੍ਯੋ ਕ੍ਰੂਰੰ ॥
kanpaaee sattaa singh garajayo kraooran |Narsingha shook the neck hair (jata) and roared menacingly.
ਉਡ੍ਯੋ ਹੇਰਿ ਬੀਰਾਨ ਕੇ ਮੁਖਿ ਨੂਰੰ ॥
auddayo her beeraan ke mukh nooran |Giving a jeck to his neck, Narsingh raised a terrible thunder and listening to his thunder, the faces of the heroes turned pale.
ਉਠ੍ਯੋ ਨਾਦ ਬੰਕੇ ਛੁਹੀ ਗੈਣਿ ਰਜੰ ॥
autthayo naad banke chhuhee gain rajan |Dust covered the sky with that terrible sound.
ਹਸੇ ਦੇਵ ਸਰਬੰ ਭਏ ਦੈਤ ਲਜੰ ॥੩੦॥
hase dev saraban bhe dait lajan |30|Because of that dreadful sound, the earth trembled and its dust touched the sky. All the gods began to smile and the heads of the demons bowed down with shame.30.
ਮਚ੍ਯੰ ਦੁੰਦ ਜੁਧੰ ਮਚੇ ਦੁਇ ਜੁਆਣੰ ॥
machayan dund judhan mache due juaanan |Duel war was raging and both the warlords were also enraged.
ਤੜੰਕਾਰ ਤੇਗੰ ਕੜਕੇ ਕਮਾਣੰ ॥
tarrankaar tegan karrake kamaanan |The dreadful war of both the heroic fighters got ablazed, and the clattering sound of the sword and the cracking sound of the bows was heard.
ਭਿਰਿਯੋ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਦਾਨਵੰ ਸੁਲਤਾਨੰ ॥
bhiriyo kop kai daanavan sulataanan |The king of demons got angry and fought
ਹੜੰ ਸ੍ਰੋਣ ਚਲੇ ਮਧੰ ਮੁਲਤਾਣੰ ॥੩੧॥
harran sron chale madhan mulataanan |31|The demon-king fought in great fury and there was a flood of blood in the battlefield.31.
ਕੜਕਾਰ ਤੇਗੰ ਤੜਕਾਰ ਤੀਰੰ ॥
karrakaar tegan tarrakaar teeran |The arrows were rattling, the arrows were rattling.
ਭਏ ਟੂਕ ਟੂਕੰ ਰਣੰ ਬੀਰ ਧੀਰੰ ॥

rarran kank banke ddahai beer banke |32|The conches, clarionets and drums resounded and the wanton soldiers, riding on the sharp horses stood firmly in the battlefield.32.
ਭਜੇ ਬਾਜਿ ਗਾਜੀ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਅਨੇਕੰ ॥
bhaje baaj gaajee sipaahee anekan |Many types of soldiers on elephants (gaji), horsemen, etc. ran away.
ਰਹੇ ਠਾਢਿ ਭੂਪਾਲ ਆਗੇ ਨ ਏਕੰ ॥
rahe tthaadt bhoopaal aage na ekan |Many a warrior riding on the horses and elephants fled away and none of the chiefs could stand against Narsingh.
