ਜੂਝਿ ਮਰੈ ਛਿਤ ਪਰ ਪਰੇ ਤਬ ਮੈ ਭਈ ਅਚੇਤੁ ॥੮॥
joojh marai chhit par pare tab mai bhee achet |8|(When) they fought and fell on the ground, then I fainted. 8.
ਅਸਿਨ ਭਏ ਅਤਿ ਜੁਧ ਕਰਿ ਜਬ ਜੂਝੈ ਦੋਊ ਬੀਰ ॥
asin bhe at judh kar jab joojhai doaoo beer |When both brothers died after fighting a lot with swords
ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਫਾਰਿ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਵ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਭਏ ਫਕੀਰ ॥੯॥

ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਜੜ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬਿਚਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੦॥
bhed abhed jarr kachh na bichariyo |10|And the fool could not understand the matter of separation. 10.

ਦੇਸ ਕਲਿੰਜਰ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਟ ਸੈਨ ਬਿਚਛਨ ਰਾਇ ॥

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰੁਚਿ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਰੁਨ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਸੁਭ ਕਾਇ ॥੧॥
sree ruch raaj kuar tarun jaa kee at subh kaae |1|The name of his wife with a very beautiful body was Ruchi Raj Kuari. 1.

ਸਪਤ ਔਰ ਰਾਨੀ ਤਿਹ ਰਹਈ ॥

ਤਿਨਹੂੰ ਸੌ ਹਿਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨਿਰਬਹਈ ॥
tinahoon sau hit nrip nirabahee |The king was in love with all of them.
ਬਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੀ ਤਿਨੈ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
baaree baaree tinai bulaavai |He used to call them from time to time
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
lapatt lapatt kar bhog kamaavai |2|And used to indulge (with them) by wrapping them. 2.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰੁਚਿ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਜੋ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
sree ruch raaj kuar jo raanee |There was a queen named Ruchi Raj Kuari,
ਸੋ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਅਧਿਕ ਰਿਸਾਨੀ ॥
so man bheetar adhik risaanee |She (seeing this kind of behavior of the king) became very angry in her heart.
ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਜਤਨ ਕਿਯਾ ਕਰਿਯੈ ॥
man meh kahiyo jatan kiyaa kariyai |I started to say in my mind what efforts should be made
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਇਨ ਰਨਿਯਨ ਕੌ ਮਰਿਯੈ ॥੩॥
jaa te in raniyan kau mariyai |3|With which we kill these queens. 3.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਰਾਨਿਯਨ ਸੌ ਅਤਿ ਨੇਹ ਬਢਾਇਯੋ ॥
pratham raaniyan sau at neh badtaaeiyo |At first he developed a lot of love with (other) queens.
ਐਸੀ ਕਰੀ ਪਰੀਤਿ ਜੁ ਪਤਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਇਯੋ ॥
aaisee karee pareet ju pat sun paaeiyo |(He) made such love that even the king heard it.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਰੁਚਿ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕਹ ਭਾਖਿਯੋ ॥
dhanay dhanay ruch raaj kuar kah bhaakhiyo |(He) called Ruchi Raj kuari blessed
ਹੋ ਜਿਨ ਕਲਿ ਮੈ ਸਵਤਿਨ ਸੌ ਅਤਿ ਹਿਤ ਰਾਖਿਯੋ ॥੪॥
ho jin kal mai savatin sau at hit raakhiyo |4|The one who has done a lot of good with his passions in Kaliyuga. 4.
ਨਦੀ ਤੀਰ ਇਕ ਰਚਿਯੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਨਾਲੈ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
nadee teer ik rachiyo trinaalai jaae kai |He went to the bank of the river and built a one-room residence ('Trinalai').
ਆਪ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਵਤਿਨ ਸੌ ਬਚਨ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
aap kahiyo savatin sau bachan banaae kai |And he said to the sleepers themselves
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸਖੀ ਹਮ ਤਹਾ ਸਕਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
sunahu sakhee ham tahaa sakal mil jaae hai |That O learn! Listen, we will all go there together
ਹੋ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਮਨ ਭਾਵਤ ਤਹ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ho ham tum man bhaavat tah bhog kamaae hai |5|I and you will enjoy there as much as you want.5.
ਲੈ ਸਵਤਿਨ ਕੌ ਸੰਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਨਾਲੈ ਮੌ ਗਈ ॥
lai savatin kau sang trinaalai mau gee |(She) went to the abode of the Kakhas with the sonakans
ਰਾਜਾ ਪੈ ਇਕ ਪਠੈ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਦੇਤ ਭੀ ॥
raajaa pai ik patthai sahacharee det bhee |And sent a maid to the king
ਨਾਥ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਤਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
naath kripaa kar adhik tahee tum aaeiyo |That O Nath! Please come there
ਹੋ ਮਨ ਭਾਵਤ ਰਾਨਿਨ ਸੋ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਇਯੋ ॥੬॥
ho man bhaavat raanin so bhog kamaaeiyo |6|And come and have fun with the queens. 6.
ਸਵਤਿ ਸਖਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਹਿਤ ਤਹਾ ਸਭ ਲ੍ਯਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
savat sakhin ke sahit tahaa sabh layaae kai |By bringing all the slaves there along with the maids
ਰੋਕਿ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਿ ਪਾਵਕ ਕੌ ਦਯੋ ਲਗਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
rok dvaar paavak kau dayo lagaae kai |And closed the door and lit the fire.
ਕਿਸੂ ਕਾਜ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ਗਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਆਪੁ ਟਰਿ ॥
kisoo kaaj ke het gee triy aap ttar |(That) woman went away on the pretext of some work.
ਹੋ ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸਭ ਰਾਨਿਨ ਕੌ ਦਿਯਾ ਜਰਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥੭॥
ho ih chhal sabh raanin kau diyaa jaraae kar |7|Burned all the queens with this trick.7.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਦੌਰਤ ਆਪੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਪਹ ਆਈ ॥
dauarat aap nripat pah aaee |I ran to the king
ਰੋਇ ਰੋਇ ਬਹੁ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਜਤਾਈ ॥
roe roe bahu brithaa jataaee |And cried and told many places.
ਬੈਠੋ ਕਹਾ ਦੈਵ ਕੇ ਹਰੇ ॥
baittho kahaa daiv ke hare |Oh gods! How are you sitting (here)
ਤੋਰੇ ਹਰਮ ਆਜੁ ਸਭ ਜਰੇ ॥੮॥
tore haram aaj sabh jare |8|Your whole harem is now burnt. 8.
ਤੁਮ ਅਬ ਤਹਾ ਆਪੁ ਪਗੁ ਧਾਰਹੁ ॥
tum ab tahaa aap pag dhaarahu |Now you step there yourself
ਜਰਤ ਅਗਨਿ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਉਬਾਰਹੁ ॥
jarat agan te triyan ubaarahu |And take women out of the burning fire.
ਬੈਠਨ ਸੌ ਕਛੁ ਹੇਤੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
baitthan sau kachh het na keejai |Don't do anything by sitting here now
ਮੋਰੀ ਕਹੀ ਕਾਨ ਧਰਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੯॥
moree kahee kaan dhar leejai |9|And listen to my words. 9.
ਵੈ ਉਤ ਜਰਤ ਤਿਹਾਰੀ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
vai ut jarat tihaaree naaree |There your women are burning
