ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਸਭ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਕਰਿ ਭੇਖ ਅਤਿਥ ਬਨਾਇ ॥
raaj saaj sabh tayaag kar bhekh atith banaae |(The king) gave up all the royal arrangements and became a devotee of Jogi
ਤਵਨਿ ਝਰੋਖਾ ਕੇ ਤਰੇ ਬੈਠਿਯੋ ਧੂੰਆ ਲਾਇ ॥੨੨॥
tavan jharokhaa ke tare baitthiyo dhoonaa laae |22|And sat under his window making smoke. 22.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਰਾਜ ਸੁਤਾ ਭਿਛਾ ਲੈ ਆਵੈ ॥
raaj sutaa bhichhaa lai aavai |The princess brought alms
ਤਾ ਕਹ ਅਪਨੇ ਹਾਥ ਜਿਵਾਵੈ ॥
taa kah apane haath jivaavai |And fed him with her hand.
ਨਿਸਿ ਕਹ ਲੋਗ ਜਬੈ ਸ੍ਵੈ ਜਾਹੀ ॥
nis kah log jabai svai jaahee |At night when all the people sleep
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਦੋਊ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਹੀ ॥੨੩॥
lapatt lapatt doaoo bhog kamaahee |23|So both of them used to enjoy each other. 23.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁਖ ਲੀਏ ॥
eih bidh kuar adhik sukh lee |In this way the Kumari attained great happiness
ਸਭ ਹੀ ਲੋਗ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸਿਤ ਕੀਏ ॥
sabh hee log bisvaasit kee |And made all people believe.
ਅਤਿਥ ਲੋਗ ਕਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥
atith log keh taeh bakhaanai |All people called him Jogi
ਰਾਜਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਊ ਨ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥੨੪॥
raajaa kar koaoo na pachhaanai |24|And no one recognized (him) as a king. 24.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਹਿ ਗਈ ॥
eik din kuar pitaa peh gee |One day Kumari went to her father
ਬਚਨ ਕਠੋਰ ਬਖਾਨਤ ਭਈ ॥
bachan katthor bakhaanat bhee |(And he) began to speak harsh words.
ਕੋਪ ਬਹੁਤ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਬ ਭਯੋ ॥
kop bahut raajaa tab bhayo |Then the king became very angry
ਬਨ ਬਾਸਾ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕਹ ਦਯੋ ॥੨੫॥
ban baasaa duhitaa kah dayo |25|And exiled the daughter. 25.
ਸੁਨ ਬਨਬਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਅਤਿ ਰੋਵੈ ॥
sun banabaas pragatt at rovai |Banwas used to cry a lot from above.
ਚਿਤ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਕਲ ਦੁਖ ਖੋਵੈ ॥
chit ke bikhai sakal dukh khovai |But she used to remove all sorrow from Chit (meaning she was happy and said that)
ਸਿਧਿ ਕਾਜ ਮੋਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
sidh kaaj moraa prabh keenaa |God has completed my work
ਤਾਤ ਹਮੈ ਬਨ ਬਾਸਾ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੨੬॥
taat hamai ban baasaa deenaa |26|That the father has given me exile. 26.
ਸਿਵਕਨ ਸੰਗ ਇਮਿ ਰਾਜ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
sivakan sang im raaj uchaaro |The king said thus to the servants
ਏਹ ਕੰਨ੍ਯਾ ਕਹ ਬੇਗਿ ਨਿਕਾਰੋ ॥
eh kanayaa kah beg nikaaro |That this girl should be removed (from here) quickly.
ਜਹ ਬਨ ਹੋਇ ਘੋਰ ਬਿਕਰਾਲਾ ॥
jah ban hoe ghor bikaraalaa |Where there is a terrible horror,
ਤਿਹ ਇਹ ਛਡ ਆਵਹੁ ਤਤਕਾਲਾ ॥੨੭॥
tih ih chhadd aavahu tatakaalaa |27|Get rid of it there immediately. 27.
ਲੈ ਸੇਵਕ ਤਿਤ ਸੰਗ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥
lai sevak tith sang sidhaae |The servants took him along
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਬਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਤਜਿ ਆਏ ॥
taa ko ban bheetar taj aae |And he got a break in the bun.
ਵਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਵਤ ਤਹ ਭਯੋ ॥
vah raajaa aavat tah bhayo |That king also came there
ਤਹੀ ਤਵਨਿ ਤੇ ਆਸਨ ਲਯੋ ॥੨੮॥
tahee tavan te aasan layo |28|And there he took a seat. 28.
ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਤਵਨ ਸੌ ਕਰੀ ॥
drirr rat pratham tavan sau karee |Played well with him first
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੈ ਭੋਗਨ ਭਰੀ ॥
bhaat bhaat kai bhogan bharee |And filled (the mind) by indulging in various things.
ਹੈ ਆਰੂੜਤ ਪੁਨਿ ਤਿਹ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
hai aaroorrat pun tih keenaa |Then put him on the horse
ਨਗਰ ਅਪਨ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਗ ਲੀਨਾ ॥੨੯॥
nagar apan ko maarag leenaa |29|And took the road to his city. 29.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਸਤਾਵਨ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੫੭॥੪੮੫੬॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau sataavan charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |257|4856|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 257th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 257.4856. goes on

ਹੰਸਾ ਧੁਜ ਰਾਜਾ ਇਕ ਸੁਨਿਯਤ ॥
hansaa dhuj raajaa ik suniyat |A king named Hansa Dhuj used to listen
ਬਲ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਜਿਹ ਅਤਿ ਜਗ ਗੁਨਿਯਤ ॥
bal prataap jih at jag guniyat |Whose strength and splendor was believed by the whole world.
ਕੇਸੋਤਮਾ ਧਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
kesotamaa dhaam tih naaree |There was a lady in his house named Kesotama.
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਸੁਨੀ ਨ ਨੈਨ ਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
jaa sam sunee na nain nihaaree |1|Such a (beautiful woman) has not been heard before and has not been seen with my eyes. 1.
ਹੰਸ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਇਕ ॥
hans matee tih grih duhitaa ik |There was a girl named Hans Mati in their house.
ਪੜੀ ਬ੍ਯਾਕਰਨ ਕੋਕ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਨਿਕ ॥
parree bayaakaran kok saasatranik |(He) was well-educated in grammar, coke and many other sciences.
ਤਾ ਸਮ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਜਗ ਮੈ ॥
taa sam avar na koaoo jag mai |There was no one else like him in the world.
ਥਕਿਤ ਰਹਿਤ ਨਿਰਖਤ ਰਵਿ ਮਗ ਮੈ ॥੨॥
thakit rahit nirakhat rav mag mai |2|Seeing him even the sun used to get tired on the way. 2.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਵਹ ਬਾਲ ਜਗਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
at sundar vah baal jagat meh jaaniyai |That woman was considered the most beautiful in the world.
ਜਿਹ ਸਮ ਅਵਰ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਬਖਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
jih sam avar sundaree kahoon na bakhaaniyai |There was no other beauty like her.
ਜੋਬਨ ਜੇਬ ਅਧਿਕ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਰਾਜਈ ॥
joban jeb adhik taa ke tan raajee |Joban and beauty were very beautiful on her body.
ਹੋ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਅਰੁ ਸੂਰ ਮਦਨ ਛਬਿ ਲਾਜਈ ॥੩॥
ho nirakh chandr ar soor madan chhab laajee |3|Even the Sun, Moon and Kama Dev used to get shy seeing his image. 3.
ਰੂਪ ਕੁਅਰ ਸੁਕੁਮਾਰ ਜਬੈ ਅਬਲਾ ਲਹਾ ॥
roop kuar sukumaar jabai abalaa lahaa |(One day) when the woman saw the form of a gentle virgin
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਨਿਰਖਾ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਕਹੂੰ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਕਹਾ ॥
jaa sam nirakhaa kahoon na kahoon kinahoon kahaa |(So they began to think that) no one has seen anything like this (beautiful) and no one has said anything.
