ਬ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਬਾਜੀ ॥
brirrarirr baajee |And horses
ਗ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਗਾਜੀ ॥੪੧੭॥
grirrarirr gaajee |417|The horses and horse-riders are lying unconscious in the battlefield.417.
ਗ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਗਜਣੰ ॥
grirrarirr gajanan |Ghazi (Warrior)
ਭ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਭਜਣੰ ॥
bhrirrarirr bhajanan |They have run away.
ਰ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
rrirrarirr raajaa |(Seeing them) the king also
ਲ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਲਾਜਾ ॥੪੧੮॥
lrirrarirr laajaa |418|The elephants are running away and in this way, the kings, because of the disgrace of defeat, are feeling ashamed.418.
ਖ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਖਾਡੇ ॥
khrirrarirr khaadde |Khande laughs (laughs)
ਬ੍ਰਿੜਿਰਿੜ ਬਾਡੇ ॥
brirririrr baadde |And divides (the warriors).
ਅਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਅੰਗੰ ॥
arirrarirr angan |(Their) limbs are stiffened (i.e. their bodies are stiffened).
ਜ੍ਰਿੜਰਿੜ ਜੰਗੰ ॥੪੧੯॥
jrirrarirr jangan |419|The large daggers are striking blows on the limbs in the war-arena.419.
ਪਾਧੜੀ ਛੰਦ ॥
paadharree chhand |PAADHARI STANZA
ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੈਨ ਜੁਝੀ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
eih bhaat sain jujhee apaar |This is how the immense army is fighting.
ਰਣਿ ਰੋਹ ਕ੍ਰੋਹ ਧਾਏ ਲੁਝਾਰ ॥
ran roh kroh dhaae lujhaar |Fighters Warriors furiously rush into battle.
ਤਜੰਤ ਬਾਣ ਗਜੰਤ ਬੀਰ ॥
tajant baan gajant beer |Warriors defiantly shoot arrows.
ਉਠੰਤ ਨਾਦ ਭਜੰਤ ਭੀਰ ॥੪੨੦॥
autthant naad bhajant bheer |420|In this way, innumerable army fought and the warriors, in anger, and discharging arrows and thundering advanced forward, hearing the dreadful sound, the cowards ran away.420.
ਧਾਏ ਸਬਾਹ ਜੋਧਾ ਸਕੋਪ ॥
dhaae sabaah jodhaa sakop |Warriors with a good deal doll charge furiously.
ਕਢਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣ ਬਾਹੰਤ ਧੋਪ ॥
kadtat kripaan baahant dhop |Kirpans are drawn and Kirchas ('Dhopas') are lit.
ਲੁਝੰਤ ਸੂਰ ਜੁਝੰਤ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
lujhant soor jujhant apaar |The great warriors are fighting.
ਜਣ ਸੇਤਬੰਧ ਦਿਖੀਅਤ ਪਹਾਰ ॥੪੨੧॥
jan setabandh dikheeat pahaar |421|The warriors, in anger , marched forward with their contingents and taking out their swords, they bean to strike blows, the heaps of the corpses looked like the mountains lying on the sea-cost for building the dam.421.
ਕਟੰਤ ਅੰਗ ਭਭਕੰਤ ਘਾਵ ॥
kattant ang bhabhakant ghaav |Limbs are being cut off, blood is gushing out from the wounds.
ਸਿਝੰਤ ਸੂਰ ਜੁਝੰਤ ਚਾਵ ॥
sijhant soor jujhant chaav |Warriors fight decisively (battle) and grapple with Chau.
ਨਿਰਖੰਤ ਸਿਧ ਚਾਰਣ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
nirakhant sidh chaaran anant |(The battle of heroes) is seen by the righteous
ਉਚਰੰਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਜੋਧਨ ਬਿਅੰਤ ॥੪੨੨॥
aucharant krit jodhan biant |422|The limbs are being chopped, the wounds are oozing our and the warriors are fighting full of zeal, the adepts, minstrels and ballad-singers etc. are looking at the fighting and are also singing the praises of the heroes.422.
ਨਾਚੰਤ ਆਪ ਈਸਰ ਕਰਾਲ ॥
naachant aap eesar karaal |Shiva himself is dancing a terrible dance.
ਬਾਜੰਤ ਡਉਰੁ ਭੈਕਰਿ ਬਿਸਾਲ ॥
baajant ddaur bhaikar bisaal |Sounds very scary.
ਪੋਅੰਤ ਮਾਲ ਕਾਲੀ ਕਪਾਲ ॥
poant maal kaalee kapaal |Kali is garlanding the (heroic) boys
ਚਲ ਚਿਤ ਚਖ ਛਾਡੰਤ ਜ੍ਵਾਲ ॥੪੨੩॥
chal chit chakh chhaaddant jvaal |423|Shiva, assuming his dreadful form, is dancing and his frightening tabor is being played, the goddess Kali is stringing the rosaries of skulls and is releasing the fire-flames, while drinking blood.423.
ਰਸਾਵਲ ਛੰਦ ॥
rasaaval chhand |RASAAVAL STANZA
ਬਜੇ ਘੋਰ ਬਾਜੇ ॥
baje ghor baaje |The ghastly musicians sound the bells
ਧੁਣੰ ਮੇਘ ਲਾਜੇ ॥
dhunan megh laaje |(Whose) echo (on hearing) the alters become ashamed.
ਖਹੇ ਖੇਤ ਖਤ੍ਰੀ ॥
khahe khet khatree |Chhatri people are at war (with each other).
ਤਜੇ ਤਾਣਿ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ॥੪੨੪॥
taje taan patree |424|The dreadful war-drums sounded, hearing which the cloud felt shy, the Kshatriyas fought in the battlefield and pulling their bows, discharged the arrows.424.
ਗਿਰੈ ਅੰਗ ਭੰਗੰ ॥
girai ang bhangan |The limbs (of warriors) are falling apart.
ਨਚੇ ਜੰਗ ਰੰਗੰ ॥
nache jang rangan |They are dancing in the colors of war.
ਖੁਲੇ ਖਗ ਖੂਨੀ ॥
khule khag khoonee |Blood-drinking swords have come out from Miano
ਚੜੇ ਚਉਪ ਦੂਨੀ ॥੪੨੫॥
charre chaup doonee |425|The warriors, with the broken limbs, fell while dancing, being absorbed in fighting, the fighters drew out their daggers with double zeal.425.
ਭਯੋ ਘੋਰ ਜੁਧੰ ॥
bhayo ghor judhan |There has been a terrible war.
ਇਤੀ ਕਾਹਿ ਸੁਧੰ ॥
eitee kaeh sudhan |(It) is not so much news to anyone.
ਜਿਣਿਓ ਕਾਲ ਰੂਪੰ ॥
jinio kaal roopan |The kings who conquered (the warriors) like Kal,
ਭਜੇ ਸਰਬ ਭੂਪੰ ॥੪੨੬॥
bhaje sarab bhoopan |426|Such a terrible war was fought, that none of the fighters remained in senses, Kalki, the manifestation of Yama, was victorious and all the kings fled away.426.
ਸਬੈ ਸੈਣ ਭਾਜਾ ॥
sabai sain bhaajaa |The entire army is fleeing.
ਫਿਰ੍ਯੋ ਆਪ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
firayo aap raajaa |(Seeing this) the king of Sambhal has returned again.
ਠਟ੍ਰਯੋ ਆਣਿ ਜੁਧੰ ॥
tthattrayo aan judhan |started the war
ਭਇਓ ਨਾਦ ਉਧੰ ॥੪੨੭॥
bheio naad udhan |427|When all the kings fled away, then the king (of Sambhal) himself rotated and came in front and producing the terrible sound, he began the fighting.427.
ਤਜੇ ਬਾਣ ਐਸੇ ॥
taje baan aaise |(Warriors) shoot arrows like this
ਬਣੰ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਜੈਸੇ ॥
banan patr jaise |As (with the wind) the letters in the bun fly;
ਜਲੰ ਮੇਘ ਧਾਰਾ ॥
jalan megh dhaaraa |Or as drops of water fall from the substitute;
ਨਭੰ ਜਾਣੁ ਤਾਰਾ ॥੪੨੮॥
nabhan jaan taaraa |428|He was discharging his arrows as if the leaves were flying in the forest or the stars were falling from the sky.428.
