A town called Andavati used to be heard
(Whose) King Anand Sen was very virtuous.
In his house there was a woman named Andavati
From whom the whole world was illuminated. 1.
The creator had made him very handsome,
Whose form was not given to anyone else.
Then there came a baniya ('become') man (meaning a strong man came).
(She) was more beautiful than the queen. 2.
When the queen saw his form,
Then Kam Dev shot an arrow in his body.
(That) beauty became enthralled in mind
And (him) there was no clear wisdom of the house. 3.
He sent a maidservant (Sakhi) and called him
and had sexual intercourse with her.
He was given the desired posture
And for kissing and hugging. 4.
(He) liked Mitra Rani very well
And thus explained to him.
Said that where there is great wilderness,
Take a seat there. 5.
Smear vibhuti (ash) all over the body
And sit down and meditate.
I will come there with the king
And how will I take you home. 6.
(Queen's) Yar accepted that
And assumed the vow of a saint.
He sat down under a bridge.
(There) the queen said thus to the king.7.
I had a dream while sleeping
That Maha Rudra has come to my house.
He woke me up with his feet
And very kindly said the word. 8.
O king! (I) tell you
That you keep one thing in mind.
A Rikhisura has heard (come) in Ban.
There is no sage like him. 9.
Go there with the king (and bring him).
