ਹੋ ਆਸਫ ਖਾਨ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਤੇ ਦੇਤ ਭੀ ॥੧੨॥
ho aasaf khaan bisaar hridai te det bhee |12|(He) forgot Asaf Khan from his heart. 12.
ਕਿਯ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਚਿਤ ਕਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਪਿਯ ਕਉ ਪਾਇਯੈ ॥
kiy bichaar chit kih bidh piy kau paaeiyai |(He considered in his) mind by what method the Beloved should be obtained.
ਅਸਫ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਕਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਇਯੈ ॥
asaf khaa ke ghar te kih bidh jaaeiyai |And how to escape from Asaf Khan's house.
ਭਾਖਿ ਭੇਦ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਦਯੋ ਪਠਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bhaakh bhed taa kau grih dayo patthaae kai |After talking to him (Mitra) about all secrets, sent him from home
ਹੋ ਸੂਰ ਸੂਰ ਕਹਿ ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰੀ ਮੁਰਛਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੩॥
ho soor soor keh bhoom giree murachhaae kai |13|And saying 'Sul Sul', she fainted on the ground. 13.
ਸੂਰ ਸੂਰ ਕਰਿ ਗਿਰੀ ਜਨੁਕ ਮਰਿ ਕੇ ਗਈ ॥
soor soor kar giree januk mar ke gee |Saying 'Sool Sool', she fell down as if she was dead.
ਡਾਰਿ ਸੰਦੂਕਿਕ ਮਾਝ ਗਾਡਿ ਭੂਅ ਮੈ ਦਈ ॥
ddaar sandookik maajh gaadd bhooa mai dee |He (the householders) put him in a chest and buried him in the ground.
ਕਾਢਿ ਸਜਨ ਲੈ ਗਯੋ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਆਨਿ ਕੈ ॥
kaadt sajan lai gayo tahaa te aan kai |The gentleman came and took it away from there
ਹੋ ਲੈ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਰੀ ਅਧਿਕ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਕੈ ॥੧੪॥
ho lai apunee triy karee adhik ruch maan kai |14|And with great pleasure he made her his wife. 14.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਮੂੜ ਕਛੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਸਕ੍ਯੋ ਪਛਾਨਿ ॥
bhed abhed na moorr kachh taa ko sakayo pachhaan |(of that woman's character) the incomparable fool (Asaf Khan) could not recognize anything.
ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਛਾਡਿ ਕੈ ਕਿਯੋ ਸੁ ਭਿਸਤ ਪਯਾਨ ॥੧੫॥
jaanayo praanan chhaadd kai kiyo su bhisat payaan |15|It is understood that she has left the mortals and gone to heaven. 15.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਬੀਸ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੨੦॥੪੨੧੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥

eesaf jaiyan mauar hai saman khaan patthaan |Samman Khan was the chief of the Pathan Esaf-Zaiyas.
ਤੁਮਨ ਪਠਾਨਨ ਕੇ ਤਿਸੈ ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕਾਵਤ ਆਨਿ ॥੧॥
tuman patthaanan ke tisai sees jhukaavat aan |1|The tribes of Pathans ('Tuman') used to come and worship him. 1.

ਬਸੀ ਰਹੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੇ ਨਿਤਿ ਜਿਯ ॥

ਪਰਮ ਰੂਪ ਤਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
param roop tan taeh biraajai |Her body was very beautiful.
ਪਸੁਪਤਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਨਿਰਖਤ ਦੁਤਿ ਲਾਜੈ ॥੨॥
pasupat rip nirakhat dut laajai |2|Even Kama Dev ('Pasupati Ripu') used to be ashamed to see her beauty. 2.

ਸਾਦੀ ਖਾਨ ਤਹਾ ਹੁਤੋ ਇਕ ਪਠਾਨ ਕੋ ਪੂਤ ॥
saadee khaan tahaa huto ik patthaan ko poot |There was a Pathan's son named Shadi Khan.
ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਦਿਪੈ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰਹਿਤ ਪੁਰਹੂਤ ॥੩॥
adhik prabhaa taa kee dipai nirakh rahit purahoot |3|Even Indra used to see the brilliance of her extreme beauty. 3.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਤਿਹ ਰਾਨੀ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
tih raanee taa ko grih liyo bulaae kai |That queen called him (one day) home.
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਰਮੀ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
lapatt lapatt tih saath ramee sukh paae kai |She began to have a blissful raman with him.
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੌ ਜਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥
tab hee lokeh kahiyo nripat sau jaae kar |Then the people went and said to the king.
ਹੋ ਖੜਗ ਹਾਥ ਗਹਿ ਰਾਵ ਪਹੂਚ੍ਯੋ ਆਇ ਕਰਿ ॥੪॥
ho kharrag haath geh raav pahoochayo aae kar |4|The king came there with a sword in his hand. 4.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਰਿ ਖੜਗ ਬਿਲੋਕ ਅਧਿਕ ਅਬਲਾ ਡਰੀ ॥
nrip kar kharrag bilok adhik abalaa ddaree |Seeing the sword in the hand of the king, the woman was very scared
ਚਿਤ ਅਪਨੈ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਇਹੈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਰੀ ॥
chit apanai ke beech ihai chintaa karee |And thought this in his mind.
ਗਹਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਤਤਕਾਲ ਮੀਤ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
geh kripaan tatakaal meet ko maar kai |(Then he) took the sword in his hand and killed the friend
ਹੋ ਟੂਕ ਟੂਕ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਯੋ ਦੇਗ ਮੈ ਡਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੫॥
ho ttook ttook kar diyo deg mai ddaar kai |5|And cut it into pieces and put it in the pot. 5.
ਡਾਰਿ ਦੇਗ ਤਰ ਆਗ ਦਈ ਔਟਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
ddaar deg tar aag dee aauattaae kai |He put it in a pot and lit a fire under it.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਹ ਭਖਿ ਗਈ ਮਾਸੁ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bahur sagal tih bhakh gee maas banaae kai |Then she cooked all (his) flesh and ate it.
ਸਗਰੋ ਸਦਨ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਹਿਯੋ ॥
sagaro sadan nihaar chakrit raajaa rahiyo |The king was surprised to see the whole palace (without anyone).
ਹੋ ਭੇਦ ਦਾਇਕਹ ਹਨ੍ਯੋ ਝੂਠ ਇਨ ਮੁਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥੬॥
ho bhed daaeikah hanayo jhootth in muhi kahiyo |6|And killed the informer because he lied to me. 6.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਿ ਭਖਿ ਗਈ ਭੇਦ ਦਾਇਕਹ ਘਾਇ ॥
pratham bhog kar bhakh gee bhed daaeikah ghaae |After first feasting, she ate (then the friend) and killed the one who told the secret.
ਰਾਜਾ ਤੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਰਹੀ ਇਹ ਛਲ ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੭॥
raajaa te saachee rahee ih chhal chhidr banaae |7|In this way, by pretending to be deceitful, (the queen) became true to the king. ॥7॥

kaabal mai akabar ge ek bilokayo baag |Emperor Akbar visited a garden in Kabul.
ਹਰੀ ਭਈ ਆਂਖੈ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰੋਸਨ ਭਯੋ ਦਿਮਾਗ ॥੧॥
haree bhee aankhai nirakh rosan bhayo dimaag |1|By reaching (whom) his eyes became cold and his mind became enlightened. 1.
ਭੋਗ ਮਤੀ ਇਕ ਭਾਮਨੀ ਅਕਬਰ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
bhog matee ik bhaamanee akabar ke grih maeh |A woman named Bhog Mati was (living) in Akbar's house.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਮ ਤਿਹੁੰ ਲੋਕ ਮੈ ਰੂਪਵਤੀ ਕਹੂੰ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
taa kee sam tihun lok mai roopavatee kahoon naeh |2|There was no beautiful woman like her among the three people. 2.

ਏਕ ਸਾਹ ਕੋ ਪੂਤ ਗੁਲ ਮਿਹਰ ਭਾਖੀਯੈ ॥
