ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿਤੰ ਬਾਮੰ ॥
grihitan baaman |

at home with the lady (is absorbed)

ਭ੍ਰਮਤੰ ਮੋਹੰ ॥
bhramatan mohan |

In love with Mamata

ਮਮਤੰ ਮੋਹੰ ॥੪੩੧॥
mamatan mohan |431|

He is the abode of wisdom, but falling in the attachment of his wife etc. he remains in illusion.431.

ਮਮਤਾ ਬੁਧੰ ॥
mamataa budhan |

Those with the wisdom of compassion

ਸ੍ਰਿਹਤੰ ਲੋਗੰ ॥
srihatan logan |

(all) people are,

ਅਹਿਤਾ ਧਰਮੰ ॥
ahitaa dharaman |

Selfless are religious,

ਲਹਿਤਹ ਭੋਗੰ ॥੪੩੨॥
lahitah bhogan |432|

The individual entrapped in the key of wisdom and mildness, he is absorbed in pleasure and is removed far away from Dharma.432.

ਗ੍ਰਿਸਤੰ ਬੁਧੰ ॥
grisatan budhan |

The intellect is bound

ਮਮਤਾ ਮਾਤੰ ॥
mamataa maatan |

Mother's love,

ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇਹੰ ॥
eisatree nehan |

women,

ਪੁਤ੍ਰੰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤੰ ॥੪੩੩॥
putran bhraatan |433|

His wisdom seized by the attachment of mother, wife, sons and brothers.433.

ਗ੍ਰਸਤੰ ਮੋਹੰ ॥
grasatan mohan |

infatuated,

ਧਰਿਤੰ ਕਾਮੰ ॥
dharitan kaaman |

holds desires,

ਜਲਤੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੰ ॥
jalatan krodhan |

burns in anger,

ਪਲਿਤੰ ਦਾਮੰ ॥੪੩੪॥
palitan daaman |434|

Engrossed in lust, he is absorbed in attachments and burning in the fire of anger, he is occupied in the collection of wealth.434.

ਦਲਤੰ ਬਿਯੋਧੰ ॥
dalatan biyodhan |

Biadhi has porridge,

ਤਕਿਤੰ ਦਾਵੰ ॥
takitan daavan |

rise to the occasion,

ਅੰਤਹ ਨਰਕੰ ॥
antah narakan |

By going to the end

ਗੰਤਹ ਪਾਵੰ ॥੪੩੫॥
gantah paavan |435|

On getting an opportunity, he destroys the great warriors for his self-interest and in this way, he falls into hell.435.

ਤਜਿਤੰ ਸਰਬੰ ॥
tajitan saraban |

Abandoning all,

ਗ੍ਰਹਿਤੰ ਏਕੰ ॥
grahitan ekan |

has captured the One (Lord).

ਪ੍ਰਭਤੰ ਭਾਵੰ ॥
prabhatan bhaavan |

Then it pleases the Lord

ਤਜਿਤੰ ਦ੍ਵੈਖੰ ॥੪੩੬॥
tajitan dvaikhan |436|

If forsaking all, the Lord is adored with sincerity, and then all the sufferings and malice come to an end.436.

ਨਲਿਨੀ ਸੁਕਿ ਜਯੰ ॥
nalinee suk jayan |

Like Nalni Suk

ਤਜਿਤੰ ਦਿਰਬੰ ॥
tajitan diraban |

Wealth gives way to wealth,

ਸਫਲੀ ਕਰਮੰ ॥
safalee karaman |

(Then he) becomes successful in deeds

ਲਹਿਤੰ ਸਰਬੰ ॥੪੩੭॥
lahitan saraban |437|

If the being relinquishes all like the abandonment of the cage by parrot, then all his actions can bear fruit and he achieves the position of superiority.437.

ਇਤਿ ਨਲਿਨੀ ਸੁਕ ਉਨੀਸਵੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਰਨਨੰ ॥੧੯॥
eit nalinee suk uneesavo guroo barananan |19|

End of the description of the adoption of the Parrot as the Nineteenth Guru.

ਅਥ ਸਾਹ ਬੀਸਵੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
ath saah beesavo gur kathanan |

Now begins the description of the adoption of a Trader as the Twentieth Guru

ਆਗੇ ਚਲਾ ਦਤ ਜਟ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
aage chalaa dat jatt dhaaree |

Jatadhari Dutt walked forward.

ਬੇਜਤ ਬੇਣ ਬਿਖਾਨ ਅਪਾਰੀ ॥
bejat ben bikhaan apaaree |

Then Dutt, the wearer of matted locks moved further

ਅਸਥਾਵਰ ਲਖਿ ਚੇਤਨ ਭਏ ॥
asathaavar lakh chetan bhe |

Seeing (this situation or scene) the roots became conscious

ਚੇਤਨ ਦੇਖ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਏ ॥੪੩੮॥
chetan dekh chakrit hvai ge |438|

The musical instruments were being played seeing Dutt. The inanimate things were becoming animate and the animate were wonder-struck.438.

ਮਹਾ ਰੂਪ ਕਛੁ ਕਹਾ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
mahaa roop kachh kahaa na jaaee |

There is great form, nothing is said,

ਨਿਰਖਿ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਹੀ ਸਕਲ ਲੁਕਾਈ ॥
nirakh chakrit rahee sakal lukaaee |

His great beauty was indescribable, seeing which all the world was in astonishment

ਜਿਤ ਜਿਤ ਜਾਤ ਪਥਹਿ ਰਿਖਿ ਗ੍ਯੋ ॥
jit jit jaat patheh rikh gayo |

On which path the sage went,

ਜਾਨੁਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮੇਘ ਬਰਖ੍ਰਯੋ ॥੪੩੯॥
jaanuk prem megh barakhrayo |439|

The paths on which the sage went, it appeared that the cloud of love was raining.439.

ਤਹ ਇਕ ਲਖਾ ਸਾਹ ਧਨਵਾਨਾ ॥
tah ik lakhaa saah dhanavaanaa |

There (he) saw a rich Shah

ਮਹਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਰਿ ਦਿਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥
mahaa roop dhar dirab nidhaanaa |

There he saw a wealthy trader, was extremely comely and treasure of money and materials

ਮਹਾ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਰੁ ਤੇਜ ਅਪਾਰੂ ॥
mahaa jot ar tej apaaroo |

(On whose face) there was great light and immense brightness.

ਆਪ ਘੜਾ ਜਾਨੁਕ ਮੁਖਿ ਚਾਰੂ ॥੪੪੦॥
aap gharraa jaanuk mukh chaaroo |440|

He was supremely splendid and it appeared that Brahma himself had created him.440.

ਬਿਕ੍ਰਿਅ ਬੀਚ ਅਧਿਕ ਸਵਧਾਨਾ ॥
bikria beech adhik savadhaanaa |

(bargain) was very careful in selling,

ਬਿਨੁ ਬਿਪਾਰ ਜਿਨ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
bin bipaar jin aaur na jaanaa |

He was extremely conscious about his sale and it seemed that he did not know anything else except trade

ਆਸ ਅਨੁਰਕਤ ਤਾਸੁ ਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਲਾਗਾ ॥
aas anurakat taas brit laagaa |

His life was fully engaged in hope.

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਮਹਾ ਜੋਗ ਅਨੁਰਾਗਾ ॥੪੪੧॥
maanahu mahaa jog anuraagaa |441|

Absorbed in desires his attention was solely engrossed in trade and he was looking like a great Yogi.441.

ਤਹਾ ਰਿਖਿ ਗਏ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸਨ ॥
tahaa rikh ge sang sanayaasan |

The sage reached there with the ascetics,

ਕਈ ਛੋਹਨੀ ਜਾਤ ਨਹੀ ਗਨਿ ॥
kee chhohanee jaat nahee gan |

The sage reached there alongwith Sannyasis and innumerable disciples
