ਕਰੰ ਬਾਮ ਚਾਪਿਯੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣੰ ਕਰਾਲੰ ॥
karan baam chaapiyan kripaanan karaalan |He holds the bow in His left hand and the terrible sword (in the right)
ਮਹਾ ਤੇਜ ਤੇਜੰ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ਬਿਸਾਲੰ ॥
mahaa tej tejan biraajai bisaalan |He is the Supreme Effulgence of all lights and sits in His Great Glory
ਮਹਾ ਦਾੜ ਦਾੜੰ ਸੁ ਸੋਹੰ ਅਪਾਰੰ ॥
mahaa daarr daarran su sohan apaaran |He, of Infinite Splendour, is the masher of of the boar-incarnation with great grinder tooth
ਜਿਨੈ ਚਰਬੀਯੰ ਜੀਵ ਜਗ੍ਰਯੰ ਹਜਾਰੰ ॥੧੮॥
jinai charabeeyan jeev jagrayan hajaaran |18|He crushed and devoured thousands of the creatures of the world. 18
ਡਮਾ ਡੰਡ ਡਉਰੂ ਸਿਤਾਸੇਤ ਛਤ੍ਰੰ ॥
ddamaa ddandd ddauroo sitaaset chhatran |The tabor (in the hand of Great Death (KAL) resounds and the black and white canopy swings
ਹਾਹਾ ਹੂਹ ਹਾਸੰ ਝਮਾ ਝਮ ਅਤ੍ਰੰ ॥
haahaa hooh haasan jhamaa jham atran |Loud laughter emanates from his mouth and the weapons (in his hands) glisten
ਮਹਾ ਘੋਰ ਸਬਦੰ ਬਜੇ ਸੰਖ ਐਸੰ ॥
mahaa ghor sabadan baje sankh aaisan |His conch produces such a terrible sound
ਪ੍ਰਲੈ ਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਕਾਲ ਕੀ ਜ੍ਵਾਲ ਜੈਸੰ ॥੧੯॥
pralai kaal ke kaal kee jvaal jaisan |19|That appears like the blazing fire of the Death on doomsday. 19
ਰਸਾਵਲ ਛੰਦ ॥
rasaaval chhand |RASAAVAL STANZA
ਘਣੰ ਘੰਟ ਬਾਜੰ ॥
ghanan ghantt baajan |Many gongs resound and hearing their sound,!
ਧੁਣੰ ਮੇਘ ਲਾਜੰ ॥
dhunan megh laajan |The clouds feel ashamed!
ਭਯੋ ਸਦ ਏਵੰ ॥
bhayo sad evan |Such a sound is produced that it appears!
ਹੜਿਯੋ ਨੀਰ ਧੇਵੰ ॥੨੦॥
harriyo neer dhevan |20|Like the sound of the surging waves of the sea! 20
ਘੁਰੰ ਘੁੰਘਰੇਯੰ ॥
ghuran ghunghareyan |The small bells of the feet jingle,!
ਧੁਣੰ ਨੇਵਰੇਯੰ ॥
dhunan nevareyan |And the anklets rattle!
ਮਹਾ ਨਾਦ ਨਾਦੰ ॥
mahaa naad naadan |Such sounds are peaceful sounds !
ਸੁਰੰ ਨਿਰ ਬਿਖਾਦੰ ॥੨੧॥
suran nir bikhaadan |21|Against the great resounding (of gongs)! 21
ਸਿਰੰ ਮਾਲ ਰਾਜੰ ॥
siran maal raajan |The rosary of heads glorified his neck, !
ਲਖੇ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਲਾਜੰ ॥
lakhe rudr laajan |Seeing which the god Shiva feels abashed!
ਸੁਭੇ ਚਾਰ ਚਿਤ੍ਰੰ ॥
subhe chaar chitran |Such a beautiful image appears magnificent !
ਪਰਮੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੰ ॥੨੨॥
paraman pavitran |22|And it is greatly holy! 22
ਮਹਾ ਗਰਜ ਗਰਜੰ ॥
mahaa garaj garajan |He produces the very loud roar, !
ਸੁਣੇ ਦੂਤ ਲਰਜੰ ॥
sune doot larajan |Hearing which the messengers (of Yama) tremble!
ਸ੍ਰਵੰ ਸ੍ਰੋਣ ਸੋਹੰ ॥
sravan sron sohan |The blood oozes (from his rosary of skulls) glorifying his neck !
ਮਹਾ ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹੰ ॥੨੩॥
mahaa maan mohan |23|And it is fascinating his great honour! 23
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang prayaat chhand |BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA!
ਸ੍ਰਿਜੇ ਸੇਤਜੰ ਜੇਰਜੰ ਉਤਭੁਜੇਵੰ ॥
srije setajan jerajan utabhujevan |Thou hast created the Svetaja, Jeraju and Uddahhujja division of creation. !
ਰਚੇ ਅੰਡਜੰ ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਏਵੰ ॥
rache anddajan khandd brahamandd evan |Like this Thou hast created the Andaja division and also the regions and universes!
ਦਿਸਾ ਬਿਦਿਸਾਯੰ ਜਿਮੀ ਆਸਮਾਣੰ ॥
disaa bidisaayan jimee aasamaanan |Thou hast also created the directions, the indivcations, the earth and the sky. !
ਚਤੁਰ ਬੇਦ ਕਥ੍ਯੰ ਕੁਰਾਣੰ ਪੁਰਾਣੰ ॥੨੪॥
chatur bed kathayan kuraanan puraanan |24|Thou hast also related the four Vedas, the Quran and the Puranas! 24
ਰਚੇ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਵਸੰ ਥਪੇ ਸੂਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰੰ ॥
rache rain divasan thape soor chandran |Thou hast created night and day and established the sun and moon. !
ਠਟੇ ਦਈਵ ਦਾਨੋ ਰਚੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਿੰਦ੍ਰੰ ॥
tthatte deev daano rache beer bindran |Thou hast created gods and demons of the mighty Death hath subdued all!
ਕਰੀ ਲੋਹ ਕਲਮੰ ਲਿਖ੍ਯੋ ਲੇਖ ਮਾਥੰ ॥
karee loh kalaman likhayo lekh maathan |Thou hast created the pen to write on the tablet and hast recorded the writ on the forehead. !
ਸਬੈ ਜੇਰ ਕੀਨੇ ਬਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਹਾਥੰ ॥੨੫॥
sabai jer keene balee kaal haathan |25|The hand of the mighty Death hath subdued all! 25
ਕਈ ਮੇਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਬਨਾਏ ॥
kee mett ddaare usaare banaae |He hath effaced many and then made (created) others.!
ਉਪਾਰੇ ਗੜੇ ਫੇਰਿ ਮੇਟੇ ਉਪਾਏ ॥
aupaare garre fer mette upaae |He destroys the created ones and then creates after effacing!
ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਕਾਲ ਜੂ ਕੀ ਕਿਨੂ ਨ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥
kriaa kaal joo kee kinoo na pachhaanee |None could comprehend the working of Death (KAL).!
ਘਨਿਯੋ ਪੈ ਬਿਹੈ ਹੈ ਘਨਿਯੋ ਪੈ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ॥੨੬॥
ghaniyo pai bihai hai ghaniyo pai bihaanee |26|Many have experienced it and many will experience it! 26
ਕਿਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਸੇ ਕੀਟ ਕੋਟੈ ਬਨਾਏ ॥
kite krisan se keett kottai banaae |Somewhere He hath created millions of the servants like Krishna.!
ਕਿਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਸੇ ਮੇਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ਉਪਾਏ ॥
kite raam se mett ddaare upaae |Somewhere He hath effaced and then created (many) like Rama!
ਮਹਾਦੀਨ ਕੇਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਮਾਝਿ ਹੂਏ ॥
mahaadeen kete prithee maajh hooe |Many Muhammads had been on the earth. !
ਸਮੈ ਆਪਨੀ ਆਪਨੀ ਅੰਤਿ ਮੂਏ ॥੨੭॥
samai aapanee aapanee ant mooe |27|They were born and then died in their own times! 27
ਜਿਤੇ ਅਉਲੀਆ ਅੰਬੀਆ ਹੋਇ ਬੀਤੇ ॥
jite aauleea anbeea hoe beete |All the Prophets and saints of the past were conquered by Death (KAL),!
ਤਿਤ੍ਰਯੋ ਕਾਲ ਜੀਤਾ ਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਜੀਤੇ ॥
titrayo kaal jeetaa na te kaal jeete |But none could conquer it (him)!
ਜਿਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਸੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਹੁਇ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਆਏ ॥
jite raam se krisan hue bisan aae |All the incarnations of Vishnu like Rama and Krishan were destroyed by KAL,!
ਤਿਤ੍ਰਯੋ ਕਾਲ ਖਾਪਿਓ ਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਘਾਏ ॥੨੮॥
titrayo kaal khaapio na te kaal ghaae |28|But they could not destroy him! 28
ਜਿਤੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੇ ਹੋਤ ਆਏ ॥
jite indr se chandr se hot aae |All the indras and Chandras (moons) who came into being were destroyed by KAL,!
ਤਿਤ੍ਰਯੋ ਕਾਲ ਖਾਪਾ ਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਿ ਘਾਏ ॥
titrayo kaal khaapaa na te kaal ghaae |But they could not destroy him!
