ਸਿਮਟਿ ਸਾਗ ਸੁੰਕੜੰ ਸਟਕ ਸੂਲ ਸੇਲਯੰ ॥
simatt saag sunkarran sattak sool selayan |

ਰੁਲੰਤ ਰੁੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਯੰ ਝਲੰਤ ਝਾਲ ਅਝਲੰ ॥੩੧੫॥
rulant rundd munddayan jhalant jhaal ajhalan |315|

The daggers and spears are producing rustling sound and the chopped dead heads, having rolled in dust, are scattered here and there.315.

ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਤੰ ਸਰੰ ਬਹੰਤ ਦਾਰੁਣੰ ਰਣੰ ॥
bachitr chitratan saran bahant daarunan ranan |

ਢਲੰਤ ਢਾਲ ਅਢਲੰ ਢੁਲੰਤ ਚਾਰੁ ਚਾਮਰੰ ॥
dtalant dtaal adtalan dtulant chaar chaamaran |

The peculiar types of arrows, drawing pictures are being discharged in the battlefield and the knocking of the spears in the battlefield and the knocking of the spears in the shields is being heard.

ਦਲੰਤ ਨਿਰਦਲੋ ਦਲੰ ਪਪਾਤ ਭੂਤਲੰ ਦਿਤੰ ॥
dalant niradalo dalan papaat bhootalan ditan |

ਉਠੰਤ ਗਦਿ ਸਦਯੰ ਨਿਨਦਿ ਨਦਿ ਦੁਭਰੰ ॥੩੧੬॥
autthant gad sadayan ninad nad dubharan |316|

The armies are being mashed and the earth is getting hot (because of the hot blood), the dreadful sound is being heard continuously form all four sides.316.

ਭਰੰਤ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਚਉਸਠੀ ਕਿਲੰਕ ਖੇਚਰੀ ਕਰੰ ॥
bharant patr chausatthee kilank khecharee karan |

ਫਿਰੰਤ ਹੂਰ ਪੂਰਯੰ ਬਰੰਤ ਦੁਧਰੰ ਨਰੰ ॥
firant hoor poorayan barant dudharan naran |

Sixty-four Yoginis, shouting loudly, are filling their pots with colour and the heavenly damsels are moving on the earth in order to wed the great horses

ਸਨਧ ਬਧ ਗੋਧਯੰ ਸੁ ਸੋਭ ਅੰਗੁਲੰ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੰ ॥
sanadh badh godhayan su sobh angulan trinan |

ਡਕੰਤ ਡਾਕਣੀ ਭ੍ਰਮੰ ਭਖੰਤ ਆਮਿਖੰ ਰਣੰ ॥੩੧੭॥
ddakant ddaakanee bhraman bhakhant aamikhan ranan |317|

The heroes, bedecking themselves are wearing armours on their hands and the vampires are roaring in the battlefield, eating flesh and bellowing.317.

ਕਿਲੰਕ ਦੇਵੀਯੰ ਕਰੰਡ ਹਕ ਡਾਮਰੂ ਸੁਰੰ ॥
kilank deveeyan karandd hak ddaamaroo suran |

ਕੜਕ ਕਤੀਯੰ ਉਠੰ ਪਰੰਤ ਧੂਰ ਪਖਰੰ ॥
karrak kateeyan utthan parant dhoor pakharan |

The loud voice of the goddess Kali, who drinks blood, and the sound of tabor are being heard, the dreadful laughter is being heard in the battlefield and the dust settled on armours is also being seen

ਬਬਜਿ ਸਿੰਧਰੇ ਸੁਰੰ ਨ੍ਰਿਘਾਤ ਸੂਲ ਸੈਹਥੀਯੰ ॥
babaj sindhare suran nrighaat sool saihatheeyan |

ਭਭਜਿ ਕਾਤਰੋ ਰਣੰ ਨਿਲਜ ਭਜ ਭੂ ਭਰੰ ॥੩੧੮॥
bhabhaj kaataro ranan nilaj bhaj bhoo bharan |318|

The elephants and horses are creating noise on being struck with the blows of sword and abandoning their shyness and being helpless, they are running away from the war.318.

ਸੁ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਨਿਧੰ ਜੁਝੰਤ ਜੋਧਣੋ ਜੁਧੰ ॥
su sasatr asatr sanidhan jujhant jodhano judhan |

ਅਰੁਝ ਪੰਕ ਲਜਣੰ ਕਰੰਤ ਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਕੇਵਲੰ ॥
arujh pank lajanan karant droh kevalan |

Having been bedecked with arms and weapons the warriors are busy in war and not being stuck in the mud of shyness they are waging war

ਪਰੰਤ ਅੰਗ ਭੰਗ ਹੁਐ ਉਠੰਤ ਮਾਸ ਕਰਦਮੰ ॥
parant ang bhang huaai utthant maas karadaman |

ਖਿਲੰਤ ਜਾਣੁ ਕਦਵੰ ਸੁ ਮਝ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਗੋਪਿਕੰ ॥੩੧੯॥
khilant jaan kadavan su majh kaanrah gopikan |319|

Being filled with ire, the limbs and the bits of flesh of the warriors are falling on the earth like Krishna playing amongst Gopis by throwing up the ball from this to that side.319.

ਡਹਕ ਡਉਰ ਡਾਕਣੰ ਝਲੰਤ ਝਾਲ ਰੋਸੁਰੰ ॥
ddahak ddaur ddaakanan jhalant jhaal rosuran |

ਨਿਨਦ ਨਾਦ ਨਾਫਿਰੰ ਬਜੰਤ ਭੇਰਿ ਭੀਖਣੰ ॥
ninad naad naafiran bajant bher bheekhanan |

The tabors and famous gestures of the vampires are being seen and the dreadful sound of drums and fifes is being heard.

ਘੁਰੰਤ ਘੋਰ ਦੁੰਦਭੀ ਕਰੰਤ ਕਾਨਰੇ ਸੁਰੰ ॥
ghurant ghor dundabhee karant kaanare suran |

ਕਰੰਤ ਝਾਝਰੋ ਝੜੰ ਬਜੰਤ ਬਾਸੁਰੀ ਬਰੰ ॥੩੨੦॥
karant jhaajharo jharran bajant baasuree baran |320|

The terrible sound of big drums is being heard in the ears. The jingling of anklets and the sweet voice of flutes are also being heard in the battlefield.320.

ਨਚੰਤ ਬਾਜ ਤੀਛਣੰ ਚਲੰਤ ਚਾਚਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੰ ॥
nachant baaj teechhanan chalant chaacharee kritan |

ਲਿਖੰਤ ਲੀਕ ਉਰਬੀਅੰ ਸੁਭੰਤ ਕੁੰਡਲੀ ਕਰੰ ॥
likhant leek urabeean subhant kunddalee karan |

The swift horses are dancing and moving swiftly and with their gait they are creating coiled marks on the earth.

ਉਡੰਤ ਧੂਰ ਭੂਰਿਯੰ ਖੁਰੀਨ ਨਿਰਦਲੀ ਨਭੰ ॥
auddant dhoor bhooriyan khureen niradalee nabhan |

ਪਰੰਤ ਭੂਰ ਭਉਰਣੰ ਸੁ ਭਉਰ ਠਉਰ ਜਿਉ ਜਲੰ ॥੩੨੧॥
parant bhoor bhauranan su bhaur tthaur jiau jalan |321|

Because of the sound of their hoofs, the dust is rising upto the sky and seems like the whirlpool in water.321.

ਭਜੰਤ ਧੀਰ ਬੀਰਣੰ ਚਲੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਲੈ ॥
bhajant dheer beeranan chalant maan praan lai |

ਦਲੰਤ ਪੰਤ ਦੰਤੀਯੰ ਭਜੰਤ ਹਾਰ ਮਾਨ ਕੈ ॥
dalant pant danteeyan bhajant haar maan kai |

The enduring warriors are fleeing with their honour and life-breath and the lines of the elephants have been destroyed

ਮਿਲੰਤ ਦਾਤ ਘਾਸ ਲੈ ਰਰਛ ਸਬਦ ਉਚਰੰ ॥
milant daat ghaas lai rarachh sabad ucharan |

ਬਿਰਾਧ ਦਾਨਵੰ ਜੁਝਯੋ ਸੁ ਹਥਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਿਰਮਲੰ ॥੩੨੨॥
biraadh daanavan jujhayo su hath raam niramalan |322|

The demons inimical to Ram, taking the blades of grass in their teeth, have uttered the words “Protect us” and in this way the demons named Viradh has been killed.322.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕੇ ਰਾਮਵਤਾਰ ਕਥਾ ਬਿਰਾਧ ਦਾਨਵ ਬਧਹ ॥
eit sree bachitr naattake raamavataar kathaa biraadh daanav badhah |

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਾਰ ਬਿਰਾਧ ਕਉ ਬਨ ਮੇ ਧਸੇ ਨਿਸੰਗ ॥
eih bidh maar biraadh kau ban me dhase nisang |

In this way killing Viradh, Ram and Lakshman penetrated further into the forest.

ਸੁ ਕਬਿ ਸਯਾਮ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਰਘੁਬਰ ਜੁਧ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ॥੩੨੩॥
su kab sayaam ih bidh kahiyo raghubar judh prasang |323|

The poet Shyam has described this incident in the above-mentioned way.323.

ਰਿਖ ਅਗਸਤ ਧਾਮ ॥
rikh agasat dhaam |

ਗਏ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਮ ॥
ge raaj raam |

ਧੁਜ ਧਰਮ ਧਾਮ ॥
dhuj dharam dhaam |

ਸੀਆ ਸਹਿਤ ਬਾਮ ॥੩੨੪॥
seea sahit baam |324|

The king Ram went to the went to the hermitage of the sage Agastya and Sita was with him, who is the abode of Dharma.324.

ਲਖਿ ਰਾਮ ਬੀਰ ॥
lakh raam beer |

ਰਿਖ ਦੀਨ ਤੀਰ ॥
rikh deen teer |

ਰਿਪ ਸਰਬ ਚੀਰ ॥
rip sarab cheer |

ਹਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਪੀਰ ॥੩੨੫॥
har sarab peer |325|

Seeing the great hero Ram, the sage advised him to kill all the enemies and remove the anguish of all the people.325.

ਰਿਖਿ ਬਿਦਾ ਕੀਨ ॥
rikh bidaa keen |

ਆਸਿਖਾ ਦੀਨ ॥
aasikhaa deen |

ਦੁਤ ਰਾਮ ਚੀਨ ॥
dut raam cheen |

ਮੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ॥੩੨੬॥
mun man prabeen |326|

In this way giving his blessing, the sage recognizing the beauty and power of Ram dexterously in his mind, bade him farewell.326.
