ਸਭੈ ਆਨਿ ਜੂਝੈ ਭਜੈ ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟੈ ॥
sabhai aan joojhai bhajai kott kottai |

All were coming and fighting and many were fleeing.

ਕਿਤੇ ਸੂਲ ਔ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਖਿੰਗ ਖੇਲੈ ॥
kite sool aau saihathee khing khelai |

Somewhere, war games were being played with tridents and horses (on top).

ਕਿਤੇ ਪਾਸ ਔ ਪਰਸ ਲੈ ਪਾਵ ਪੇਲੈ ॥੧੭੯॥
kite paas aau paras lai paav pelai |179|

Somewhere the steps were being taken forward with a pass (noose) and an ax. 179.

ਕਿਤੇ ਪਾਖਰੈ ਡਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਤਾਜਿਯੌ ਪੈ ॥
kite paakharai ddaar kai taajiyau pai |

Somewhere by putting saddles on horses and

ਚੜੈ ਚਾਰੁ ਜਾਮੈ ਕਿਤੇ ਬਾਜਿਯੌ ਪੈ ॥
charrai chaar jaamai kite baajiyau pai |

Somewhere handsomely dressed (warriors) were going up on the tazis.

ਕਿਤੇ ਮਦ ਦੰਤੀਨਿਯੌ ਪੈ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
kite mad danteeniyau pai biraajai |

Somewhere (soldiers) were sitting on masted elephants,

ਮਨੋ ਬਾਰਣੇਸੇ ਚੜੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਲਾਜੈ ॥੧੮੦॥
mano baaranese charre indr laajai |180|

As if Indra mounted on the Aravat elephant ('Barnesa') is carrying it. 180.

ਕਿਤੇ ਖਚਰਾਰੋਹ ਬੈਰੀ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
kite khacharaaroh bairee biraajai |

Somewhere the enemy mounted on mules were sitting.

ਕਿਤੇ ਗਰਧਭੈ ਪੈ ਚੜੇ ਸੂਰ ਗਾਜੈ ॥
kite garadhabhai pai charre soor gaajai |

Somewhere warriors mounted on donkeys were roaring.

ਕਿਤੇ ਦਾਨਵੌ ਪੈ ਚੜੇ ਦੈਤ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
kite daanavau pai charre dait bhaare |

Somewhere heavy giants were riding on the demons

ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਗਾਜੇ ਸੁ ਦੈ ਕੈ ਨਗਾਰੇ ॥੧੮੧॥
chahoon or gaaje su dai kai nagaare |181|

And they were shouting in the four directions. 181.

ਕਿਤੇ ਮਹਿਖੀ ਪੈ ਚੜੇ ਦੈਤ ਢੂਕੇ ॥
kite mahikhee pai charre dait dtooke |

Somewhere the giants were climbing on the rocks.

ਕਿਤੇ ਸੂਕਰਾ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਆਨਿ ਝੂਕੇ ॥
kite sookaraa svaar hvai aan jhooke |

Somewhere riding on pigs (giants) came.

ਕਿਤੇ ਦਾਨਵੋ ਪੈ ਚੜੇ ਦੈਤ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
kite daanavo pai charre dait bhaare |

Somewhere heavy giants were riding on demons

ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਮਾਰੈ ਪੁਕਾਰੈ ॥੧੮੨॥
chahoon or te maar maarai pukaarai |182|

And they were shouting 'Maro Maro' from all four sides. 182.

ਕਿਤੇ ਸਰਪ ਅਸਵਾਰ ਹੈ ਕੈ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥
kite sarap asavaar hai kai sidhaae |

Somewhere riding on evil (enemy) snakes

ਕਿਤੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ ਬਘ੍ਰਯਾਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਦੁਸਟ ਆਏ ॥
kite svaar baghrayaar hvai dusatt aae |

And somewhere they came riding on wolves.

ਕਿਤੇ ਚੀਤਿਯੌ ਪੈ ਚੜੇ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਕੈ ॥
kite cheetiyau pai charre kop kai kai |

Somewhere by climbing on angry leopards

ਕਿਤੇ ਚੀਤਰੋ ਪੈ ਚੜੇ ਤੇਜ ਤੈ ਕੈ ॥੧੮੩॥
kite cheetaro pai charre tej tai kai |183|

And they had arrived somewhere by riding on the Chitals (Mrigans). 183.

ਕਿਤੇ ਚਾਕਚੁੰਧ੍ਰ ਚੜੇ ਕਾਕ ਬਾਹੀ ॥
kite chaakachundhr charre kaak baahee |

Somewhere Chchchunder was walking on the crows

ਅਠੂਹਾਨ ਕੌ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ॥
atthoohaan kau svaar kete sipaahee |

And how many soldiers were riding on the chariots.

ਕਿਤੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਨੀ ਚੜੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਗਿਧੈ ॥
kite beer baanee charre bridh gidhai |

Somewhere the leading warriors were riding on big donkeys.

ਮਨੋ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਲਾਗੇ ਲਸੈ ਸੁਧ ਸਿਧੈ ॥੧੮੪॥
mano dhayaan laage lasai sudh sidhai |184|

(They looked like) as if they were adorning themselves with pure samadhi. 184.

ਹਠੀ ਬਧਿ ਗੋਪਾ ਗੁਲਿਤ੍ਰਾਨ ਬਾਕੇ ॥
hatthee badh gopaa gulitraan baake |

Hatti warriors wore gopa and finger-covering iron gloves ('gulitran').

ਬਰਜੀਲੇ ਕਟੀਲੇ ਹਠੀਲੇ ਨਿਸਾਕੇ ॥
barajeele katteele hattheele nisaake |

(They were very) harsh, cutting, obstinate and fearless.

ਮਹਾ ਜੁਧ ਮਾਲੀ ਭਰੇ ਕੋਪ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
mahaa judh maalee bhare kop bhaare |

They glorified the Great War and were very full of anger

ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਤੈ ਅਭ੍ਰ ਜ੍ਯੋ ਚੀਤਕਾਰੇ ॥੧੮੫॥
chahoon or tai abhr jayo cheetakaare |185|

(Warriors) were rushing from all four sides. 185.

ਬਡੇ ਦਾਤ ਕਾਢੇ ਚਲੇ ਕੋਪਿ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
badde daat kaadte chale kop bhaare |

By pulling out big teeth and getting very angry

ਲਹੇ ਹਾਥ ਮੈ ਪਬ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ਉਪਾਰੇ ॥
lahe haath mai pab patree upaare |

(They) were holding the mountain and the brich ('Patri') in their hands.

ਕਿਤੇ ਸੂਲ ਸੈਥੀ ਸੂਆ ਹਾਥ ਲੀਨੇ ॥
kite sool saithee sooaa haath leene |

Somewhere they were holding trishul, saithi and bhale ('needle').

ਮੰਡੇ ਆਨਿ ਮਾਰੂ ਮਹਾ ਰੋਸ ਕੀਨੇ ॥੧੮੬॥
mandde aan maaroo mahaa ros keene |186|

And by being very angry, he had created a terrible war. 186.

ਹਠੀ ਹਾਕ ਹਾਕੈ ਉਠਾਵੈ ਤੁਰੰਗੈ ॥
hatthee haak haakai utthaavai turangai |

The stubborn warriors were stimulating the horses by neighing

ਮਹਾ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਕੇ ਜਗੇ ਜੋਰ ਜੰਗੈ ॥
mahaa beer baake jage jor jangai |

And Banke Mahabir was getting ready to fight.

ਸੂਆ ਸਾਗ ਲੀਨੇ ਅਤਿ ਅਤ੍ਰੀ ਧਰਤ੍ਰੀ ॥
sooaa saag leene at atree dharatree |

Bearing many spears, sangas and astras

ਮਚੇ ਆਨਿ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਛਕੇ ਛੋਭ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ॥੧੮੭॥
mache aan kai kai chhake chhobh chhatree |187|

Chhatri warriors were angry and came to the battlefield. 187.

ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਰ ਬੀਰੈ ਲਰੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ॥
kahoon beer beerai larai sasatradhaaree |

Somewhere armored warriors were fighting with warriors.

ਮਨੋ ਕਾਛ ਕਾਛੇ ਨਚੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਤਕਾਰੀ ॥
mano kaachh kaachhe nachai nritakaaree |

(It looked like) as if (like Nuts) the warriors were dancing and dancing.

ਕਹੂੰ ਸੂਰ ਸਾਗੈ ਪੁਐ ਭਾਤਿ ਐਸੇ ॥
kahoon soor saagai puaai bhaat aaise |

This is how the heroes were known in the Sangs

ਚੜੈ ਬਾਸ ਬਾਜੀਗਰੈ ਜ੍ਵਾਨ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੧੮੮॥
charrai baas baajeegarai jvaan jaise |188|

Like fiddlers, young men are mounted on bamboo. 188.

ਕਹੂੰ ਅੰਗ ਭੰਗੈ ਗਿਰੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰੈ ॥
kahoon ang bhangai gire sasatr asatrai |

Some parts are broken and some weapons and armor have fallen.

ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਜੀਨ ਕੇ ਬਰਮ ਬਸਤ੍ਰੈ ॥
kahoon beer baajeen ke baram basatrai |

Somewhere armor and armor of warriors and horses (were lying).

ਕਹੂੰ ਟੋਪ ਟਾਕੇ ਗਿਰੇ ਟੋਪ ਟੂਟੇ ॥
kahoon ttop ttaake gire ttop ttootte |

Somewhere the helmets (and the irons on the forehead) were broken and fell down.

ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਰ ਅਭ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਫੂਟੇ ॥੧੮੯॥
kahoon beer abhraan kee bhaat footte |189|

And somewhere, the heroes were torn asunder. 189.

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਬੀਰ ਖੇਤ ਬਿਕਰਾਲਾ ॥
eih bidh beer khet bikaraalaa |

That kind of time

ਮਾਚਤ ਭਯੋ ਆਨਿ ਤਿਹ ਕਾਲਾ ॥
maachat bhayo aan tih kaalaa |

A terrible war started there.

ਮਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਕਛੁਹੂ ਤਬ ਕੋਪੇ ॥
mahaa kaal kachhuhoo tab kope |

Then Maha Kaal came in great rage

ਪੁਹਮੀ ਪਾਵ ਗਾੜ ਕਰਿ ਰੋਪੇ ॥੧੯੦॥
puhamee paav gaarr kar rope |190|

And firmly planted his feet on the ground. 190.
