ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥
savaiyaa |Self:
ਮਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ਬਿਸੰਭਾਰ ਧਰਾ ਪਰ ਸੂਰ ਸਭੇ ਸੁਖ ਸੁਧ ਅਨੀਕੇ ॥
maar pare bisanbhaar dharaa par soor sabhe sukh sudh aneeke |All the heroes of the army are lying peacefully on the ground after being killed.
ਤਾ ਪਰ ਕੰਤ ਸੁਨਿਯੋ ਜੁ ਜੁਝਿਯੋ ਦਿਨ ਰੈਨਿ ਬਸੈ ਜੋਊ ਅੰਤਰ ਜੀਕੇ ॥
taa par kant suniyo ju jujhiyo din rain basai joaoo antar jeeke |After that I heard that Kant (King) has also died in battle, who dwells in my mind day and night.
ਤਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਾਰ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਸਭੈ ਸਜਨੀ ਮੁਹਿ ਲਾਗਤ ਫੀਕੇ ॥
taa bin haar singaar apaar sabhai sajanee muhi laagat feeke |Hey gentleman! Without it, I find all necklaces pale.
ਕੈ ਰਿਪੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲੋ ਮੈ ਪਿਯਾ ਸੰਗ ਨਾਤਰ ਪਯਾਨ ਕਰੋ ਸੰਗ ਪੀ ਕੇ ॥੧੭॥
kai rip maar milo mai piyaa sang naatar payaan karo sang pee ke |17|Either kill the enemy and go to meet the Beloved, or else leave with the Beloved. 17.
ਜੋਰਿ ਮਹਾ ਦਲ ਕੋਰਿ ਕਈ ਭਟ ਭੂਖਨ ਅੰਗ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
jor mahaa dal kor kee bhatt bhookhan ang surang suhaae |He assembled a large party and took several crores of warriors, (whose) bodies were decorated with beautiful ornaments.
ਬਾਧਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੜ੍ਰਹੀ ਰਥ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਸਭੈ ਬਿਰਮਾਏ ॥
baadh kripaan prachandd charrrahee rath dev adev sabhai biramaae |After tying Prachanda Kirpan, (the queen) got on the chariot, seeing which all the gods and demons were astonished.
ਬੀਰੀ ਚਬਾਤ ਕਛੂ ਮੁਸਕਾਤ ਸੁ ਮੋਤਿਨ ਹਾਰ ਹਿਯੇ ਉਰਝਾਏ ॥
beeree chabaat kachhoo musakaat su motin haar hiye urajhaae |(She) was chewing paan, smiling a little and pearl necklaces were hanging on her chest.
ਅੰਗ ਦੁਕੂਲ ਫਬੈ ਸਿਰ ਫੂਲ ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਦਿਵ ਨਾਥ ਲਜਾਏ ॥੧੮॥
ang dukool fabai sir fool bilok prabhaa div naath lajaae |18|The dupatta was fluttering on the body and seeing the square ('flower') on the head, the sun was shining. 18.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਜੋਰਿ ਅਨੀ ਗਾੜੇ ਸੁਭਟ ਤਹ ਤੇ ਕਿਯੋ ਪਯਾਨ ॥
jor anee gaarre subhatt tah te kiyo payaan |(He) went from there with an army of stubborn soldiers.
ਪਲਕ ਏਕ ਲਾਗੀ ਨਹੀ ਤਹਾ ਪਹੂਚੈ ਆਨਿ ॥੧੯॥
palak ek laagee nahee tahaa pahoochai aan |19|Early next morning, she re-organised her army and rapjdly arrived there.(19)
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਆਵਤ ਹੀ ਅਤਿ ਜੁਧ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਤਿਨ ਬਾਜ ਕਰੀ ਰਥ ਕ੍ਰੋਰਿਨ ਕੂਟੇ ॥
aavat hee at judh kariyo tin baaj karee rath krorin kootte |As soon as he came, he fought a lot and lost millions of horses, elephants and chariots.
ਪਾਸਨ ਪਾਸਿ ਲਏ ਅਰਿ ਕੇਤਿਕ ਸੂਰਨ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਕੇਤਿਕ ਟੂਟੇ ॥
paasan paas le ar ketik sooran ke sir ketik ttootte |How many enemies have been caught in traps and how many have torn the heads of warriors.
ਹੇਰਿ ਟਰੇ ਕੋਊ ਆਨਿ ਅਰੇ ਇਕ ਜੂਝਿ ਪਰੇ ਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਨਿਖੂਟੇ ॥
her ttare koaoo aan are ik joojh pare ran praan nikhootte |Seeing (that woman) some ran away, some came and fought and died fighting in a battle, whose lives were exhausted.
ਪੌਨ ਸਮਾਨ ਛੁਟੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬਾਨ ਸਭੈ ਦਲ ਬਾਦਲ ਸੇ ਚਲਿ ਫੂਟੇ ॥੨੦॥
pauan samaan chhutte triy baan sabhai dal baadal se chal footte |20|The woman's arrows moved like the wind (which resulted in the enemy's) all the parties were torn apart. 20.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਮਾਨਵਤੀ ਜਿਹ ਓਰ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥
maanavatee jih or sidhaare |Manavati (Queen) used to go towards,
ਏਕ ਤੀਰ ਇਕ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
ek teer ik svaar sanghaare |To whichever side Manwatti would go, with one arrow she would kill the rider.
ਪਖਰੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਪਦੁਮ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
pakhare kete padum bidaare |Many padams killed horses (or horsemen).
ਕੋਟਿਕ ਕਰੀ ਖੇਤ ਮੈ ਮਾਰੇ ॥੨੧॥
kottik karee khet mai maare |21|She killed numerous horses with splendid saddles and annihilated many elephants, (21)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਸਭ ਸਖਿਯਾ ਹਰਖਤਿ ਭਈ ਕਾਤਰ ਭਈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabh sakhiyaa harakhat bhee kaatar bhee na koe |All her friends were getting delighted and they shed all their fears.
ਜੁਧ ਕਾਜ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਚਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਕਰੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ॥੨੨॥
judh kaaj sabh hee chalee kaal karai so hoe |22|All girded up for fight thinking, whatever the Almighty willed, they would bear, (22)
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਚਾਬੁਕ ਮਾਰਿ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਧਸੀ ਰਨ ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਬਡੇ ਭਟ ਘਾਏ ॥
chaabuk maar turang dhasee ran kaadt kripaan badde bhatt ghaae |(The queen) whipped the horse and rushed into the battlefield and took out the kirpan and killed many soldiers.
ਪਾਸਨ ਪਾਸਿ ਲਏ ਅਰਿ ਕੇਤਿਕ ਜੀਵਤ ਹੀ ਗਹਿ ਜੇਲ ਚਲਾਏ ॥
paasan paas le ar ketik jeevat hee geh jel chalaae |How many enemies were caught with nooses and sent to jail while they were still alive.
ਚੂਰਨ ਕੀਨ ਗਦਾ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਇਕ ਬਾਨਨ ਸੌ ਜਮ ਲੋਕ ਪਠਾਏ ॥
chooran keen gadaa geh kai ik baanan sau jam lok patthaae |Some were beaten to pieces with maces and some were sent to the Yama people with arrows.
ਜੀਤਿ ਲਏ ਅਰਿ ਏਕ ਅਨੇਕ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਰਨ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਰਾਏ ॥੨੩॥
jeet le ar ek anek nihaar rahe ran chhaadd paraae |23|(That) one (woman) conquered many enemies and (those who were only) watching, they too left the battlefield and ran away. 23.
ਪਾਸਨ ਪਾਸਿ ਲਏ ਅਰਿ ਕੇਤਿਕ ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਕਈ ਰਿਪੁ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
paasan paas le ar ketik kaadt kripaan kee rip maare |Trapped many enemies in traps and killed as many enemies by taking out Kirpan.
ਕੇਤੇ ਹਨੇ ਗੁਰਜਾਨ ਭਏ ਭਟ ਕੇਸਨ ਤੇ ਗਹਿ ਏਕ ਪਛਾਰੇ ॥
kete hane gurajaan bhe bhatt kesan te geh ek pachhaare |Some were killed with spears and others were beaten by cases.
ਸੂਲਨ ਸਾਗਨ ਸੈਥਿਨ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਬਾਨਨ ਸੌ ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
soolan saagan saithin ke sang baanan sau kee kott bidaare |He destroyed many crores with tridents, spears, spears and arrows.
ਏਕ ਟਰੇ ਇਕ ਜੂਝਿ ਮਰੇ ਸੁਰ ਲੋਕ ਬਰੰਗਨਿ ਸਾਥ ਬਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੨੪॥
ek ttare ik joojh mare sur lok barangan saath bihaare |24|One ran away, one died fighting and many began to behave in heaven with the Apachharas. 24.

ਐਸੇ ਜਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਰਨ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
aaise jab abalaa ran keeno |When (that) woman made such a war,
ਠਾਢੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਦਤ ਸਭ ਚੀਨੋ ॥
tthaadte indr dat sabh cheeno |Thus, when the wife fought, the husband watched all that was happening.
ਪੁਨਿ ਸੈਨਾ ਕੋ ਆਯਸੁ ਦਯੋ ॥
pun sainaa ko aayas dayo |Then he allowed the army
ਤਾ ਕੌ ਘੇਰਿ ਦਸੋ ਦਿਸਿ ਲਯੋ ॥੨੫॥
taa kau gher daso dis layo |25|The Raja made the army to besiege the enemy from all the four sides.(25)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਘੇਰਤ ਭਏ ਸਭ ਸੂਰਾ ਰਿਸਿ ਖਾਇ ॥
chahoon or gherat bhe sabh sooraa ris khaae |The army, right in furious mood, encircled the enemy,
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਜੂਝਤ ਭਏ ਅਧਿਕ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਕਰਿ ਚਾਇ ॥੨੬॥
bhaat bhaat joojhat bhe adhik hridai kar chaae |26|And gave tough fight in various ways.(26)
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਮਾਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਬਾਨ ਚਲਾਏ ॥
maar maar keh baan chalaae |They used to shoot arrows saying 'Maro-maro'
ਮਾਨਵਤੀ ਕੇ ਸਾਮੁਹਿ ਧਾਏ ॥
maanavatee ke saamuhi dhaae |Throwing arrows after arrows, they faced Manwatti.
ਤਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਸਭ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਰੇ ॥
tab abalaa sabh sasatr sanbhaare |Then the woman took over all the weapons
ਬੀਰ ਅਨੇਕ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਡਾਰੇ ॥੨੭॥
beer anek maar hee ddaare |27|She picked up all her arms and massacred a number of them.(27)
ਲਗੇ ਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਬਾਨ ਨਿਕਾਰੇ ॥
