ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਦ ਮੋਕਲ ਦੇ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
sree mad mokal de tih naaree |Mokal's (Dei) was his queen.
ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁ ਨਾਰ ਸਾਚੇ ਜਨੁ ਢਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
bidh su naar saache jan dtaaree |1|(She was so beautiful) as if the artist had molded that woman into a mold. 1.
ਦੇਹ ਕੁਰੂਪ ਭੂਪ ਕੌ ਭਾਰਾ ॥
deh kuroop bhoop kau bhaaraa |The king's body was heavy and ugly
ਨਿਜੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸਾਥ ਨ ਰਾਖਤ ਪ੍ਯਾਰਾ ॥
nij triy saath na raakhat payaaraa |And did not love his wife.
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਜੋਗਿਯਨ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
rain divas jogiyan bulaavai |(He) used to call Jogis day and night
ਜੋਗ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਚਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥
jog saadhanaa chahai ki aavai |2|And wanted (that) Jog Sadhana should come to him. 2.
ਯਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਰਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਰਿਸਿ ਠਾਨੀ ॥
yaa te naar adhik ris tthaanee |Hearing such words of the Jogis
ਸੁਨਤ ਜੋਗਿਯਨ ਕੀ ਅਸਿ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
sunat jogiyan kee as baanee |The Rani became very angry (assumed that)
ਐਸਾ ਕਛੂ ਉਪਾਇ ਬਨਾਊ ॥
aaisaa kachhoo upaae banaaoo |Let's do something like that
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਸਹਿਤ ਅਜੁ ਇਨ ਘਾਊ ॥੩॥
bhoopat sahit aj in ghaaoo |3|That I should kill these (jogis) along with the king. 3.
ਦੇਉਾਂ ਆਪਨੋ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
deauaan aapano mitreh raajaa |Give your friend a coup
ਜੋਗੀ ਹਨੌ ਭੂਪ ਜੁਤ ਆਜਾ ॥
jogee hanau bhoop jut aajaa |And kill the Jogis along with the king.
ਸਕਲ ਪ੍ਰਜਹਿ ਇਨ ਮਾਰਿ ਦਿਖਾਊਾਂ ॥
sakal prajeh in maar dikhaaooaan |Kill them and show them to the people
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੀਸ ਪਰ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਫਿਰਾਊਾਂ ॥੪॥
mitr sees par chhatr firaaooaan |4|And swing the umbrella over the head of the friend. 4.
ਜਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਿਸ ਕੌ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਯੋ ॥
jab raajaa nis kau grih aayo |When the king came home at night,
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਜੋਗਿਯਨ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
bahur jogiyan bol patthaayo |So the jogis were called again.
ਤਿਮਿ ਤਿਮਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਫਾਸ ਗਰ ਡਾਰਿ ॥
tim tim naar faas gar ddaar |(Those joggers kept coming) three times the woman put a noose in their neck
ਭੂਪ ਸਹਿਤ ਸਭ ਦਏ ਸੰਘਾਰ ॥੫॥
bhoop sahit sabh de sanghaar |5|Killed everyone including the king. 5.
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਖਾਟ ਤਰ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhoopat maar khaatt tar paayo |The king was killed and laid under the bed
ਦੁਹੂੰ ਅਤੀਤਨ ਤਰੇ ਡਸਾਯੋ ॥
duhoon ateetan tare ddasaayo |And threw both the Jogis down.
ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਪਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਰਾਖਾ ॥
singhaasan par mitreh raakhaa |Mitra was placed on the throne
ਬੋਲਿ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਸਭ ਸੋ ਇਮਿ ਭਾਖਾ ॥੬॥
bol prajaa sabh so im bhaakhaa |6|And called all the people and said like this. 6.
ਜਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਿਸੁ ਕੌ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਯੋ ॥
jab raajaa nis kau grih aayo |When the king came home at night,
ਦੁਹੂੰ ਜੋਗਿਯਨ ਨਿਕਟ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
duhoon jogiyan nikatt bulaayo |(So he) called the two Jogis.
ਅਤਭੁਤ ਨਾਗਾ ਤਹਾ ਇਕ ਨਿਕਸਾ ॥
atabhut naagaa tahaa ik nikasaa |A strange snake appeared there.
ਰਾਵਲ ਹੇਰਿ ਤਵਨ ਕੌ ਬਿਗਸਾ ॥੭॥
raaval her tavan kau bigasaa |7|Jogi was happy to see him.7.
ਸਾਪਹਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਤਬੈ ਤਿਨ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
saapeh maar tabai tin liyo |They immediately killed the snake
ਫਰੂਆ ਬੀਚ ਡਾਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
farooaa beech ddaar kar diyo |And put in trouble.
ਘੋਟਿ ਭਾਗ ਜਿਮਿ ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨ ਪੀਯੋ ॥
ghott bhaag jim duhoonan peeyo |Both of them drank it like cannabis
ਅਤਿ ਅਸਥੂਲ ਦੇਹ ਕਹ ਕੀਯੋ ॥੮॥
at asathool deh kah keeyo |8|And increased his body greatly.8.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਕ ਫੂਲਿ ਜਬ ਗਏ ॥
taa te adhik fool jab ge |By doing this, when (they) became very prosperous,
ਕੁੰਜਰ ਸੋ ਧਾਰਤ ਬਪੁ ਭਏ ॥
kunjar so dhaarat bap bhe |Then their bodies became like elephants.
ਦ੍ਵੈ ਘਟਿਕਾ ਬੀਤੀ ਤਬ ਫੂਟੇ ॥
dvai ghattikaa beetee tab footte |After the passage of two hours (they) were torn apart
ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨ ਜਗਤ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੇ ॥੯॥
aavan jaan jagat te chhootte |9|And (they) became free from the movements of the world. 9.
ਬਰਖ ਬਾਰਹਨ ਕੇ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਏ ॥
barakh baarahan ke hvai ge |He was now twelve years old
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਤ ਦੇਹ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਭਏ ॥
tayaagat deh puraatan bhe |And had abandoned the ancient body.
ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਲੋਕ ਕਹ ਕਿਯਾ ਪਯਾਨ ॥
svarag lok kah kiyaa payaan |The people went to heaven
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਆਪੁਨੀ ਦੇਹ ਪੁਰਾਨਿ ॥੧੦॥
tayaag aapunee deh puraan |10|They abandoned their old bodies. 10.
ਭੂਪ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਿਤ ਰਹਾ ॥
bhoop nirakh chakrit chit rahaa |Seeing (all this), the king was shocked in his mind
ਮੁਹਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਐਸੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਹਾ ॥
muhi setee aaisee bidh kahaa |And made me say,
ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਆਵ ਸਾਪ ਦੋਊ ਖਾਹਿ ॥
ham tum aav saap doaoo khaeh |Come on! You and I both eat snakes
ਦੇਹ ਧਰੇ ਸੁਰਪੁਰ ਕੋ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧੧॥
deh dhare surapur ko jaeh |11|And leave the body and go to heaven. 11.
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਾਪ ਚਬਾਯੋ ॥
yau keh kai nrip saap chabaayo |Saying this, the king ate the snake.
ਮੈ ਡਰਤੇ ਨਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਹਟਾਯੋ ॥
mai ddarate neh taeh hattaayo |I didn't stop him because I was afraid.
ਥੋਰਾ ਭਖ੍ਰਯੋ ਉਡਾ ਨਹਿ ਗਯੋ ॥
thoraa bhakhrayo uddaa neh gayo |(He) ate little, so he did not fly away.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਇਹ ਭਯੋ ॥੧੨॥
taa te tan sundar ih bhayo |12|By doing this, its body has become beautiful. 12.
ਦੇਹ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਨ ਕਰੀ ॥
deh puraatan tayaagan karee |He abandoned the old body
ਔਖਧ ਬਲ ਨੌਤਨ ਤਨ ਧਰੀ ॥
aauakhadh bal nauatan tan dharee |And assumed a new body with the power of medicine.
