ਭੇਦ ਲਹਿਯੋ ਨਹੀ ਨੈਕੁ ਚਲੇ ਮਦ ਮਤਿ ਸੁ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਪੈ ਘੂਮਤ ਧਾਏ ॥੨੧੪੭॥

bhed lahiyo nahee naik chale mad mat su sayaam pai ghoomat dhaae |2147|

Twelve mighty warriors rushed forward, who caused damage to the hero like Ravana and getting intoxicated and without understanding any mystery, they hovered around Krihsna.2147.

ਆਵਤ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਹੂ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੈ ਊਪਰ ਸਿੰਧਰ ਪੇਲੇ ॥

aavat hee mil kai sabh hoo jadubeer kai aoopar sindhar pele |

On arrival, they all moved their elephants towards Krishna

ਪੰਖ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਚਲੇ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਰਿਸ ਸੋ ਟੁਕ ਦਾਤ ਕੇ ਠੇਲੇ ॥

pankh sumer chale kar kai tin ke ris so ttuk daat ke tthele |

Those elephants appeared like Sumeru mountain moving with wings, they were clattering their teeth in rage

ਸੁੰਡ ਕਟੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਿਧਿ ਸੋ ਝਟਿ ਦੈ ਜਿਮ ਕੇਲੇ ॥

sundd katte tin ke brijanaath kripaanidh so jhatt dai jim kele |

Sri Krishna first cut off their trunks, (then) Kripanidhi shook them as (a banana plant is shaken).

ਸ੍ਰਉਨ ਭਰੇ ਰਮਨੀਯ ਰਮਾਪਤਿ ਫਾਗੁਨ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਸੰਤ ਸੇ ਖੇਲੇ ॥੨੧੪੮॥

sraun bhare ramaneey ramaapat faagun ant basant se khele |2148|

Krishna chopped their trunks like the cutting of bananas, very quickly, and having been smeared with blood, he appeared like playing Holi in the month of Phalgun.2148.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਬੈਰਨ ਸੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਰਿਸ ਮਾਡਿ ਕੀਯੋ ਖਰਕਾ ॥

sree brij naaeik bairan so jab hee ris maadd keeyo kharakaa |

When Sri Krishna got angry and clashed with the enemies (i.e. waged war)

ਬਹੁ ਬੀਰ ਭਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਤਬੈ ਜਬ ਨਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਸੁਨਿਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ॥

bahu beer bhe bin praan tabai jab naad prachandd suniyo har kaa |

When, in his fury, Krishna fought the battle with the enemies, then listening to his dreadful thunder, many warriors became lifeless

ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਫਿਰਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਗਜ ਸੁੰਡਨ ਸੋ ਬਰ ਕੈ ਕਰ ਕਾ ॥

jadubeer firaavat bhayo geh kai gaj sunddan so bar kai kar kaa |

Sri Krishna took the elephants by the trunks and turned them around with the force of his hands.

ਉਪਮਾ ਉਪਜੀ ਕਬਿ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਯੌ ਘਿਸੂਆ ਮਨੋ ਫੇਰਤ ਹੈ ਲਰਕਾ ॥੨੧੪੯॥

aupamaa upajee kab ke man yau ghisooaa mano ferat hai larakaa |2149|

Krishna was catching the elephants by their trunks and revolving them like the children playing the game of pulling one another.2149.

ਜੀਵਤ ਸੋ ਨ ਦਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾਨ ਜੋਊ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕੇ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਆਯੋ ॥

jeevat so na dayo grih jaan joaoo brijanaath ke saamuhe aayo |

He was not allowed to go home while he was alive, who came before Sri Krishna.

ਜੀਤਿ ਸੁਰੇਸ ਦਿਵਾਕਰਿ ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਆਨੰਦ ਕੈ ਚਿਤਿ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਯੋ ॥

jeet sures divaakar dvaadas aanand kai chit sankh bajaayo |

Whosoever came in front of Krishna, he could not go alive, after conquering the twelve Suryas and Indra,

ਰੂਖ ਚਲੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਹਮਰੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਲੈ ਉਨ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥

rookh chalo tum hee hamare grih lai un ko ih bhaat sunaayo |

He said to those people,” You may now go with me taking this tree to my home

ਸੋ ਤਰੁ ਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗ ਚਲੇ ਸੁ ਕਬਿਤਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥੨੧੫੦॥

so tar lai har sang chale su kabitan bheetar sayaam banaayo |2150|

” Then all went with Krishna and all this has been narrated by the poet Shyam in his poetry.2150.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਰੁਕਮਨ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਵਤ ਭੇ ਤਰੁ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲੈ ਕੈ ॥

sree brijanaath rukaman ke grih aavat bhe tar sundar lai kai |

Sri Krishna came to Rukmani's house with a beautiful broom.

ਲਾਲ ਲਗੇ ਜਿਨ ਧਾਮਨ ਕੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਰਹੈ ਦੇਖਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਲੁਭੈ ਕੈ ॥

laal lage jin dhaaman ko brahamaa rahai dekhat jaeh lubhai kai |

Krishna, taking that beautiful tree, reached that house of Rukmani, which was studded with jewels and diamonds and even Brahma covered for it on seeing that place

ਤਉਨ ਸਮੈ ਸੋਊ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਥਾ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕਹੀ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਸੁ ਸੁਨੈ ਕੈ ॥

taun samai soaoo sayaam kathaa jadubeer kahee tin kau su sunai kai |

At that time Sri Krishna narrated that (whole) story to all those (women).

ਸੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਬਿਤਨ ਬੀਚ ਕਹੀ ਸੁਨਿਓ ਸਭ ਹੇਤੁ ਬਢੈ ਕੈ ॥੨੧੫੧॥

so kab sayaam kabitan beech kahee sunio sabh het badtai kai |2151|

Then Krishna related the whole story to his family members and the same has been described in totality by the poet Shyam in his poetry, with great pleasure.2151.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਸਿਕੰਧ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਜੀਤ ਕਰ ਕਲਪ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਲਿਆਵਤ ਪਏ ॥

eit sree dasam sikandh puraane bachitr naattak granthe krisanaavataare indr ko jeet kar kalap brichh liaavat pe |

End of the description of conquering Indra an dbringing the Elysian tree in Krishnavatara (based on Dasham Skandh Purana) in Bachittar Natak.

ਰੁਕਮਿਨਿ ਸਾਥ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੀ ਹਾਸੀ ਕਰਨ ਕਥਨੰ ॥

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕਹਿਓ ਤ੍ਰੀਅ ਸੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਭੋਜਨ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਧਾਮਿ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥

sree brijanaath kahio treea so muhi bhojan gopin dhaam kariyo |

Krishna said to his wife, “I had taken food and drunk milk in the house of gopis (milk-women)

ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਤਾ ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਹਮਰੋ ਬਿਚੀਆ ਦਧਿ ਕੋ ਫੁਨਿ ਨਾਮ ਪਰਿਯੋ ॥

sun sundar taa din te hamaro bicheea dadh ko fun naam pariyo |

And from that day I had been named as a milkman

ਜਬ ਸੰਧ ਜਰਾ ਦਲੁ ਸਾਜ ਚੜਾਯੋ ਭਜ ਗੇ ਤਬ ਨੈਕੁ ਨ ਧੀਰ ਧਰਿਯੋ ॥

jab sandh jaraa dal saaj charraayo bhaj ge tab naik na dheer dhariyo |

When Jarasandh had attacked, I had forsaken patience and fled away

ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਕੋ ਅਬ ਕਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਹਮ ਸਉ ਕਹਿ ਆਨਿ ਬਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੧੫੨॥

tih te tumaree mat ko ab kaa kaheeai ham sau keh aan bariyo |2152|

What should I say now about your wisdom, I do not know why you married me?2152.

ਰਾਜ ਸਮਾਜ ਨਹੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਨ ਧਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਤੇ ਮਾਗਿ ਲਯੋ ਏ ॥

raaj samaaj nahee sun sundar na dhan kaahoo te maag layo e |

“Listen, O beautiful woman! Neither you have any paraphernalia nor I have any wealth

ਸੂਰ ਨਹੀ ਜਿਨ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੈ ਆਪਨੋ ਦੇਸ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਮੋ ਬਾਸ ਕਯੋ ਹੈ ॥

soor nahee jin tiaag kai aapano des samundr mo baas kayo hai |

All this glory has been begged, I am not a warrior, because I have forsaken my country and abide on the seaside in Dwarka

ਚੋਰ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਮਨਿ ਕੋ ਫੁਨਿ ਨਾਮ ਸੁ ਯਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਿਤ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਭਯੋ ਹੈ ॥

chor pariyo man ko fun naam su yaahee te krudhit bhraat bhayo hai |

My name is Chor (thief, a butter-thief), therefore my brother Balram remains angry with me

ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਮੋ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਬਰੁ ਆਨਹਿ ਤੇਰੋ ਕਛੂ ਅਬ ਲਉ ਨ ਗਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੨੧੫੩॥

taahee te mo taj kai bar aaneh tero kachhoo ab lau na gayo hai |2153|

Therefore I advise you that nothing has gone wrong with you now, leave me and marry someone else.”2153.

ਰੁਕਮਿਨੀ ਬਾਚ ਸਖੀ ਸੋ ॥

rukaminee baach sakhee so |

Speech of Rukmani addressed to a friend:

ਚਿੰਤ ਕਰੀ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਹਮ ਸੋ ਨ ਥੀ ਜਾਨਤ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਇਤੀ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ॥

chint karee man mai ham so na thee jaanat sayaam itee kar hai |

I have thought a lot in my mind, I did not know that Krishna would do this (to me).

ਬਰੁ ਮੋ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਤੁਮ ਆਨਹਿ ਕਉ ਬਚਨਾ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਉਚਰਿ ਹੈ ॥

bar mo taj kai tum aaneh kau bachanaa ih bhaat ke uchar hai |

“I have become anxious in my mind and I did not know that Krishna would act like this with me, he would say to me that I should leave him and marry someone else

ਹਮਰੋ ਮਰਿਬੋ ਈ ਬਨਿਯੋ ਇਹ ਠਾ ਜੀਅ ਹੈ ਨ ਆਵਸਿ ਅਬੈ ਮਰਿ ਹੈ ॥

hamaro maribo ee baniyo ih tthaa jeea hai na aavas abai mar hai |

Now I have to die in this place, I don't want to live, I will die now.

ਮਰਿਬੋ ਜੁ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਭਲੇ ਸਜਨੀ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪਤਿ ਸੋ ਹਠਿ ਕੈ ਜਰਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੧੫੪॥

maribo ju na jaat bhale sajanee apune pat so hatth kai jar hai |2154|

It is necessary that I should die now and I shall die at this very place and if the dying is not appropriate, then with my persistence on my husband, I shall burn myself in his separationn.”2154.

ਤ੍ਰੀਅ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਸੋ ਚਿੰਤਤ ਹੁਇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਮਰਿਬੋ ਈ ਬਨਿਯੋ ਚਿਤ ਬੀਚ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

treea kaanrah so chintat hue man mai maribo ee baniyo chit beech bichaariyo |

Shri Krishna's wife became anxious and thought in her mind that (now) she must die.

ਮੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਉ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਅਬੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਕਟੁ ਬੈਨ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

mo sang kau brijanaath abai kab sayaam kahai katt bain uchaariyo |

Getting angry with Krishna, Rukmani thought of only death because Krishna had spoken to her such-like bitter words

ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਸੋ ਖਾਇ ਤਵਾਰ ਧਰਾ ਪਰ ਝੂਮਿ ਗਿਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਨੈਕੁ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

krodh so khaae tavaar dharaa par jhoom giree nahee naik sanbhaariyo |

(Rukmani) overcome with anger fell swinging on the ground and could not hold (herself) at all.

ਯੌ ਉਪਮਾ ਉਪਜੀ ਜੀਅ ਮੈ ਜਨੁ ਟੂਟ ਗਯੋ ਰੁਖ ਬ੍ਰਯਾਰ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੧੫੫॥

yau upamaa upajee jeea mai jan ttoott gayo rukh brayaar ko maariyo |2155|

In her rage, she being confounded fell down upon the earth and it appeared that with the slapping of the wind, the tree had broken and fallen down.2155.
