ਪਾਰਥ ਬਾਨ ਕਿ ਜੁਬਨ ਖਾਨ ਕਿ ਕਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਕਿ ਕਾਮ ਕਟਾਰੇ ॥੧੬॥
paarath baan ki juban khaan ki kaal kripaan ki kaam kattaare |16|He is a killer like Arjuna’s arrow, he is a mine of youth he controls all like the sward of youth KAL and is the dagger of lust.2
ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਭਰੇ ਕਿਧੌ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਜਰੇ ਅਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹਰੇ ਚਖ ਚੀਨਤ ਯਾ ਤੇ ॥
tantr bhare kidhau jantr jare ar mantr hare chakh cheenat yaa te |On seeing him, the impact of tantra, mantra and yantra ends
ਜੋਬਨ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗੇ ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗੇ ਮਦ ਸੇ ਮਦੂਆ ਤੇ ॥
joban jot jage at sundar rang range mad se madooaa te |His eyes, glistening with the light of youth appear to be extremely pretty and intoxicated
ਰੰਗ ਸਹਾਬ ਫੂਲ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਸੇ ਸੀਖੇ ਹੈ ਜੋਰਿ ਕਰੋਰਕ ਘਾਤੇ ॥
rang sahaab fool gulaab se seekhe hai jor karorak ghaate |His eyes can kill crores of people like the roses and
ਮਾਧੁਰੀ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੂਰਤਿ ਹੇਰਤਿ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਲੇਤ ਹੀਯਾ ਤੇ ॥੧੭॥
maadhuree moorat sundar soorat herat hee har let heeyaa te |17|Seeing his comely figure, the mind gets fascinated on seeing him.3.17.
ਪਾਨ ਚਬਾਇ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਬਨਾਇ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਲਗਾਇ ਸਭਾ ਜਬ ਆਵੈ ॥
paan chabaae seegaar banaae sugandh lagaae sabhaa jab aavai |(Paras Nath) When one comes to the assembly having chewed paan, adorned and perfumed
ਕਿੰਨਰ ਜਛ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਚਰਾਚਰ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਦੋਊ ਬਿਸਮਾਵੈ ॥
kinar jachh bhujang charaachar dev adev doaoo bisamaavai |When he went to the court on chewing the betel and fragrancing the body then all the Kinnars, Yakshas, Nagas, animate and inanimate beings, gods and demons were wonder-struck
ਮੋਹਿਤ ਜੇ ਮਹਿ ਲੋਗਨ ਮਾਨਨਿ ਮੋਹਤ ਤਉਨ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
mohit je meh logan maanan mohat taun mahaa sukh paavai |The human males and females were pleased on getting fascinated by him
ਵਾਰਹਿ ਹੀਰ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਚੀਰ ਤ੍ਰੀਯਾ ਬਿਨ ਧੀਰ ਸਬੈ ਬਲ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੮॥
vaareh heer amolak cheer treeyaa bin dheer sabai bal jaavai |18|They sacrificed their presious garments, diamonds and jewels on him impatiently.4.18.
ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰ ਪੜੇ ਦਸ ਚਾਰ ਮਨੋ ਅਸੁਰਾਰਿ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਕ ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥
roop apaar parre das chaar mano asuraar chatur chak jaanayo |Indra also marveled at Parasnath, the most beautiful person and expert in all the fourteen science
ਆਹਵ ਜੁਕਤਿ ਜਿਤੀਕ ਹੁਤੀ ਜਗ ਸਰਬਨ ਮੈ ਸਬ ਹੀ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ੍ਰਯੋ ॥
aahav jukat jiteek hutee jag saraban mai sab hee anumaanrayo |He knew all the arts of warfare,
ਦੇਸਿ ਬਿਦੇਸਨ ਜੀਤ ਜੁਧਾਬਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚੰਦੋਵ ਦਸੋ ਦਿਸ ਤਾਨ੍ਰਯੋ ॥
des bidesan jeet judhaabar krit chandov daso dis taanrayo |And after conquering all the countries far and near, he flag of victory waved in all the ten directions
ਦੇਵਨ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਗੋਪੀਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਿਸਾ ਕਰਿ ਚੰਦ ਸਮਾਨ ਪਛਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥੧੯॥
devan indr gopeen gobind nisaa kar chand samaan pachhaanayo |19|The gods comprehended him as Indra, the gopis as Krishna and the night as the moon.5.19.
ਚਉਧਿਤ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਸਾ ਭਈ ਚਕ੍ਰਤ ਭੂਮਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾ ॥
chaudhit chaar disaa bhee chakrat bhoom akaas duhoon pahichaanaa |Illumined like the full moon, Parasnath caused all the four directions wonder about him
ਜੁਧ ਸਮਾਨ ਲਖ੍ਯੋ ਜਗ ਜੋਧਨ ਬੋਧਨ ਬੋਧ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨਾ ॥
judh samaan lakhayo jag jodhan bodhan bodh mahaa anumaanaa |He became famous everywhere on the earth and in the sky the warriors recognized him as a warrior and the learned as learned
ਸੂਰ ਸਮਾਨ ਲਖਾ ਦਿਨ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਚੰਦ ਸਰੂਪ ਨਿਸਾ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾ ॥
soor samaan lakhaa din kai tih chand saroop nisaa pahichaanaa |The day considered him as the sun and the night as the moon
ਰਾਨਨਿ ਰਾਵਿ ਸਵਾਨਿਨ ਸਾਵ ਭਵਾਨਿਨ ਭਾਵ ਭਲੋ ਮਨਿ ਮਾਨਾ ॥੨੦॥
raanan raav savaanin saav bhavaanin bhaav bhalo man maanaa |20|The queens considered him as the king, other women as the husband and the goddess as love.6.20.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang prayaat chhand |BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਬਿਤੈ ਬਰਖ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਅਸਟ ਮਾਸੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨੰ ॥
bitai barakh dvai asatt maasan pramaanan |(When) two years and eight months passed
ਭਯੋ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਭੰ ਸਰਬ ਬਿਦ੍ਯਾ ਨਿਧਾਨੰ ॥
bhayo suprabhan sarab bidayaa nidhaanan |Two years and eight months passed and Parasnath, the store of all learnings was known as a glorious king
ਜਪੈ ਹਿੰਗੁਲਾ ਠਿੰਗੁਲਾ ਪਾਣ ਦੇਵੀ ॥
japai hingulaa tthingulaa paan devee |(That) Hingla, Thingla,
ਅਨਾਸਾ ਛੁਧਾ ਅਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ਅਭੇਵੀ ॥੨੧॥
anaasaa chhudhaa atradhaaree abhevee |21|He repeated the names of he goddess of Hinglaaj and the weapon-wearing Durga.21.
ਜਪੈ ਤੋਤਲਾ ਸੀਤਲਾ ਖਗ ਤਾਣੀ ॥
japai totalaa seetalaa khag taanee |Totla, Sitla, Khagtrani,
ਭ੍ਰਮਾ ਭੈਹਰੀ ਭੀਮ ਰੂਪਾ ਭਵਾਣੀ ॥

ਚਲਾਚਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਝਮਾਝੰਮ ਅਤ੍ਰੰ ॥
chalaachal singh jhamaajham atran |And chants that the stars are fluttering.
ਹਹਾ ਹੂਹਿ ਹਾਸੰ ਝਲਾ ਝਲ ਛਤ੍ਰੰ ॥੨੨॥
hahaa hoohi haasan jhalaa jhal chhatran |22|He gleaming arms, weapons, splendour, canopy, pleasantry etc. increased his glory.22.
ਅਟਾ ਅਟ ਹਾਸੰ ਛਟਾ ਛੁਟ ਕੇਸੰ ॥
attaa att haasan chhattaa chhutt kesan |Bloom is laughing, the lids of the cases are open,
ਅਸੰ ਓਧ ਪਾਣੰ ਨਮੋ ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਭੇਸੰ ॥
asan odh paanan namo kraoor bhesan |The beauty of his enjoyment and his hair appeared extremely comely and his sword glistened like lightning in his hands
ਸਿਰੰਮਾਲ ਸ੍ਵਛੰ ਲਸੈ ਦੰਤ ਪੰਤੰ ॥
siramaal svachhan lasai dant pantan |(On whose neck) there is a clean garland of heads and a row of teeth shines.
ਭਜੈ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਗੂੜੰ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲੰਤ ਸੰਤੰ ॥੨੩॥
bhajai satru goorran prafulant santan |23|He had worn a pure rosary on his head and the rows of his teeth looked magnificent seeing him, the enemies fled away and the saints were pleased.23.
ਅਲਿੰਪਾਤਿ ਅਰਧੀ ਮਹਾ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਜੈ ॥
alinpaat aradhee mahaa roop raajai |Like a series of eyebrows (the goddess's) eyebrows ('ardhi') are highly adorned.
ਮਹਾ ਜੋਤ ਜ੍ਵਾਲੰ ਕਰਾਲੰ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
mahaa jot jvaalan karaalan biraajai |He appeared as a most beautiful king and there was a hideous halo of light around his face
ਤ੍ਰਸੈ ਦੁਸਟ ਪੁਸਟੰ ਹਸੈ ਸੁਧ ਸਾਧੰ ॥
trasai dusatt pusattan hasai sudh saadhan |(At the sight of which) the mighty wicked fear and the pure (of heart) laugh with joy.
ਭਜੈ ਪਾਨ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਅਰੂਪੀ ਅਗਾਧੰ ॥੨੪॥
bhajai paan duragaa aroopee agaadhan |24|On seeing him, the tyrants got illusioned and the saints smiled in their pleased mind he remembered the formless and mysterious Durga,24.
ਸੁਨੇ ਉਸਤਤੀ ਭੀ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੰ ॥
sune usatatee bhee bhavaanee kripaalan |Hearing (this) praise, Bhavani became kripal,
ਅਧੰ ਉਰਧਵੀ ਆਪ ਰੂਪੀ ਰਸਾਲੰ ॥
adhan uradhavee aap roopee rasaalan |On listening to her praises, Bhavani was pleased on him and she endowed him with unique beauty
ਦਏ ਇਖ੍ਵਧੀ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਅਭੰਗੰ ਖਤੰਗੰ ॥
de ikhvadhee dvai abhangan khatangan |(He being pleased) gave two quivers of indestructible arrows and a bow (Ikhwadhi).
ਪਰਸ੍ਰਯੰ ਧਰੰ ਜਾਨ ਲੋਹੰ ਸੁਰੰਗੰ ॥੨੫॥
parasrayan dharan jaan lohan surangan |25|She gave him two unfailing arms which could cause the steel-armoured enemies to fall on the earth.25.
ਜਬੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਧੀ ਸਬੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਏ ॥
jabai sasatr saadhee sabai sasatr paae |After wearing all the armor given by the armorer,
ਉਘਾਰੇ ਚੂਮੇ ਕੰਠ ਸੀਸੰ ਛੁਹਾਏ ॥
aughaare choome kantth seesan chhuhaae |When this king, practising the armament, obtained the weapons, he kissed them, hugged them and placed them on his head
ਲਖ੍ਯੋ ਸਰਬ ਰਾਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵੰ ਅਪਾਰੰ ॥
lakhayo sarab raavan prabhaavan apaaran |All the kings knew this immense influence
ਅਜੋਨੀ ਅਜੈ ਬੇਦ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਬਿਚਾਰੰ ॥੨੬॥
ajonee ajai bed bidiaa bichaaran |26|All the kings saw him as unconquerable warrior and a successful scholar of he Vedic learning.26.
ਗ੍ਰਿਹੀਤੁਆ ਜਬੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰੰ ਅਪਾਰੰ ॥
griheetuaa jabai sasatr asatran apaaran |When the immense armor took possession of the weapons,
ਪੜੇ ਅਨੁਭਵੰ ਬੇਦ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਬਿਚਾਰੰ ॥
parre anubhavan bed bidiaa bichaaran |After obtaining the unlimited arms and weapons, he also obtained the experience of the reflection of Vedic learning
ਪੜੇ ਸਰਬ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਹੁਤੀ ਸਰਬ ਦੇਸੰ ॥
parre sarab bidiaa hutee sarab desan |(He) studied the learning of all countries.
ਜਿਤੇ ਸਰਬ ਦੇਸੀ ਸੁ ਅਸਤ੍ਰੰ ਨਰੇਸੰ ॥੨੭॥
jite sarab desee su asatran naresan |27|He studies the sciences of all the countries and on the strength of his arms and weapons, he conquered the kings of all the countries.27.
ਪਠੇ ਕਾਗਦੰ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸੰ ਅਪਾਰੀ ॥
patthe kaagadan des desan apaaree |Papers (permits) were sent to many countries
ਕਰੋ ਆਨਿ ਕੈ ਬੇਦ ਬਿਦ੍ਯਾ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
karo aan kai bed bidayaa bichaaree |He invited the scholars and sages from many countries far and near for consultations on Vedic learning
