ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਬਰਮਣੀ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

pratham baramanee sabad keh rip ar ant bakhaan |

First say the word 'Barmani' (armoured army) and finally pronounce 'Ripu Ari'.

ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਚੀਨ ਲੇਹੁ ਬੁਧਿਵਾਨ ॥੪੯੦॥

naam tupak ke hot hai cheen lehu budhivaan |490|

Saying the word “Barmani” in the beginning and then adding “Ripu Ari” at the end, O wise men! recognize the names of Tupak.490.

ਸਬਦ ਸਲਣੀ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਪਦ ਕੈ ਦੀਨ ॥

ਆਦਿ ਖੜਗਨੀ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਉਚਾਰ ॥

aad kharraganee sabad keh rip ar ant uchaar |

By first saying the word 'Kharagni', then at the end say 'Ripu Ari'.

ਅਸਿਨੀ ਆਦਿ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

asinee aad uchaar kai rip ar ant bakhaan |

First say the word 'asini' (army with sword edges) and put the word 'ripu ari' at the end.

ਨਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਸਨੀ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

nisatrisanee uchaar kai rip ar ant bakhaan |

(First) pronounce the word 'Nistrisni' (army with thirty finger long swords) and recite 'Ripu Ari' at the end.

naam tupak ke hot hai nikasat chalat pramaan |498|

Saying the word “Nisastraini” in the beginning and then uttering “Ripu Ari” at the end, the names of Tupak continue to be evolved in authenticated form.498.

ਖਗਨੀ ਆਦਿ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਪਦ ਕੈ ਦੀਨ ॥

First say 'Sastra Rajni' (Kharg Dhari Sena) and add 'Ripu Ari' at the end.

ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਸੁਕਬਿ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥੫੦੧॥

naam tupak ke hot hai leejahu sukab bichaar |501|

Saying the word “Shastar-raajini” in the beginning and then uttering “Ripu Ari” at the end, the names of Tupak are formed.501.

ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਰਾਟਨੀ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

First saying the words 'sastra ratni' (army of knights) (then) at the end recite 'ripu ari'.

Saying the word “Shastar-ravani” in the beginning and then uttering “Ripu Ari”, the names of Tupak are formed.502.

ਆਦਿ ਸੈਫਨੀ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

aad saifanee sabad keh rip ar ant bakhaan |

First saying the word 'tegni' (army with swords) (then) add the word 'ripu ari'.

ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਸਮਝ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ॥੫੦੪॥

Saying firstly the word “Tegani” and then adding “Ripu Ari, the names of Tupak are formed.504.

ਆਦਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਨਿ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

aad kripaanan sabad keh rip ar ant bakhaan |

First say the word 'Krippanani' (army with kripans) and then add the word 'Ripu Ari' at the end.

ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ॥੫੦੫॥

Saying the word “Kripanani” in the beginning and then adding “Ripu Ari”, the names of Tupak are formed.505.

ਸਮਸੇਰਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

samaseranee uchaar kai rip ar ant bakhaan |

Reciting the word 'Samserani' (army with swords) first (then) recite the word 'Ripu Ari' at the end.

Saying the word “Shamsherni” in the beginning and then adding “Ripu Ari” at the end, the names of tupak are formed, which, O wise men! recognize them in your mind.506.

ਆਦਿ ਖੰਡਨੀ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰਿ ॥

aad khanddanee sabad keh rip ar bahur uchaar |

First say the word 'Khandani' (Khandedhari Sena) and then say the word 'Ripu Ari'.

ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਸੁਕਬਿ ਸੁ ਧਾਰ ॥੫੦੭॥

First say 'Kavachantakani' (sword-piercing army) and at the end recite the pada 'Ripu Ari'.

ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਸੁਕਬਿ ਸੁ ਧਾਰ ॥੫੦੯॥

naam tupak ke hot hai leejahu sukab su dhaar |509|

Saying the word “Kavchantkani” in the beginning and then adding “Ripu Ari”, the names of tupak are formed, which O wise men! You may recognize.509.

ਧਾਰਾਧਰਨੀ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਅਰਿ ਪਦ ਕੇ ਦੀਨ ॥

dhaaraadharanee aad keh rip ar pad ke deen |

First say the word 'dharadharni' (an army bearing sharp swords) and then add the word 'ripu ari'.
