(with which the entire) giant army was severely beaten. 256.
Then the demons fired the Jach (Yaksha) astra,
Then Kaal struck the gandharb astra.
Both those heroes (Astra) fought each other and died
And fell to pieces again on the earth. 257.
When the giants fired their weapons,
(Then) many animals were born and died.
Then Asidhuja (Maha Kaal) released the 'Sidh' astra,
With which he broke the face of the enemies. 258.
The giants carried Urga weapons,
From which countless snakes were born.
Then Kaal released Khagapati (Garuda) astra,
(He) immediately ate the snakes. 259.
(Then) the giants wielded the scorpion astra,
From which many scorpions were born.
Then Asidhuja (Maha Kaal) unleashed the Lashtika astra,
(with which) the stings of all the scorpions (eight) were broken. 260.
The demons wielded weapons like these,
But nothing (of them) settled on Kharag Ketu (Great Age).
A lot of weapons come with weapons,
They got absorbed in the one who touched them. 261.
(When the demons) saw the absorbed astras,
(Then) the giants began to call out 'hai hi'.
The great fools got angry
Started fighting again with Asidhuja. 262
Thus a fierce battle ensued,
Which was seen by the wives of gods and giants.
They started calling Asidhuj 'Dhan Dhan'
And seeing the giants, they became silent. 263.
Bhujang Verse:
In a rage, the stubborn warriors started roaring again
And terrible bells started ringing from all four sides.
Prano (small drum) Sankh, Bherian and dhol etc
In the same way (they will sound) during the night of flood season. 264.
The numbers and numbers of the giants were sounding like this
As if they are telling the deeds of giants.
Somewhere by playing the bells of the bank
As if they are speaking the anger of their mind. 265.
How many warriors had pushed beyond with thunderbolts (arrows).
(Their) blood-stained armor looked as if they had played Holi.
How many had died after eating dust.
(It seemed as if) Malang fell asleep after eating Dhatura. 266.
Somewhere the broken warriors lay on the battlefield,
As if Malang is sleeping after eating bhang.
They were clad (thus) in armor with severed limbs,
It is as if during the Jumma (Friday) prayer, Gauns (fakir specials) are lying down with their limbs spread out. 267.
Somewhere postmen and vultures ('Jhakni') were responding.
Somewhere there was a loud noise and somewhere there was a sound of screams.
