ਅਕਾਲ ਹੈ ਅਪਾਲ ਹੈ ਖਿਆਲ ਹੈ ਅਖੰਡ ਹੈ ॥
akaal hai apaal hai khiaal hai akhandd hai |He is Non-temporal, Patronless, a Concept and Indivisible.
ਨ ਰੋਗ ਹੈ ਨ ਸੋਗ ਹੈ ਨ ਭੇਦ ਹੈ ਨ ਭੰਡ ਹੈ ॥
n rog hai na sog hai na bhed hai na bhandd hai |He is without ailment, without sorrow, without contrast and without slander.
ਨ ਅੰਗ ਹੈ ਨ ਰੰਗ ਹੈ ਨ ਸੰਗ ਹੈ ਨ ਸਾਥ ਹੈ ॥
n ang hai na rang hai na sang hai na saath hai |He is limbless, colourless, comradeless and companionless.
ਪ੍ਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਥ ਹੈ ॥੧੨॥੧੭੨॥
priaa hai pavitr hai puneet hai pramaath hai |12|172|He is Beloved, Sacred, Immaculate and the Subtle Truth. 12.172.
ਨ ਸੀਤ ਹੈ ਨ ਸੋਚ ਹੈ ਨ ਘ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈ ਨ ਘਾਮ ਹੈ ॥
n seet hai na soch hai na ghraam hai na ghaam hai |He neither chilly, nor sorrowful, nor shade nor sunshine.
ਨ ਲੋਭ ਹੈ ਨ ਮੋਹ ਹੈ ਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਹੈ ਨ ਕਾਮ ਹੈ ॥
n lobh hai na moh hai na krodh hai na kaam hai |He is without greed, without attachment, without anger and without lust.
ਨ ਦੇਵ ਹੈ ਨ ਦੈਤ ਹੈ ਨ ਨਰ ਕੋ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ ॥
n dev hai na dait hai na nar ko saroop hai |He is neither god nor demon nor in he form of a human being.
ਨ ਛਲ ਹੈ ਨ ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਨ ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਕੀ ਬਿਭੂਤਿ ਹੈ ॥੧੩॥੧੭੩॥
n chhal hai na chhidr hai na chhidr kee bibhoot hai |13|173|He is neither deceit nor blemish nor the substance of slander. 13.173.
ਨ ਕਾਮ ਹੈ ਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਹੈ ਨ ਲੋਭ ਹੈ ਨ ਮੋਹ ਹੈ ॥
n kaam hai na krodh hai na lobh hai na moh hai |He is without lust, anger, greed and attachment.
ਨ ਦ੍ਵੈਖ ਹੈ ਨ ਭੇਖ ਹੈ ਨ ਦੁਈ ਹੈ ਨ ਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਹੈ ॥
n dvaikh hai na bhekh hai na duee hai na droh hai |He is without malice, garb, duality and deception.
ਨ ਕਾਲ ਹੈ ਨ ਬਾਲ ਹੈ ਸਦੀਵ ਦਇਆਲ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ॥
n kaal hai na baal hai sadeev deaal roop hai |He is deathless, childless and always Merciful Entity.
ਅਗੰਜ ਹੈ ਅਭੰਜ ਹੈ ਅਭਰਮ ਹੈ ਅਭੂਤ ਹੈ ॥੧੪॥੧੭੪॥
aganj hai abhanj hai abharam hai abhoot hai |14|174|He is Indestructible, Invincible, Illusionless and Elementless. 14.174.
ਅਛੇਦ ਛੇਦ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਅਗੰਜ ਗੰਜ ਗੰਜ ਹੈ ॥
achhed chhed hai sadaa aganj ganj ganj hai |He always assails the unassailable, He is the Destroyer of the Indestructible.
ਅਭੂਤ ਅਭੇਖ ਹੈ ਬਲੀ ਅਰੂਪ ਰਾਗ ਰੰਗ ਹੈ ॥
abhoot abhekh hai balee aroop raag rang hai |His Elementless Garb is Powerful, He is the Original Form of Sound and Colour.
ਨ ਦ੍ਵੈਖ ਹੈ ਨ ਭੇਖ ਹੈ ਨ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰਮ ਹੈ ॥
n dvaikh hai na bhekh hai na kaam krodh karam hai |He is without malice, garb, lust anger and action.
ਨ ਜਾਤ ਹੈ ਨ ਪਾਤ ਹੈ ਨ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿਹਨ ਬਰਨ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥੧੭੫॥
n jaat hai na paat hai na chitr chihan baran hai |15|175|He is without caste, lineage, picture, mark and colour.15.175.
ਬਿਅੰਤ ਹੈ ਅਨੰਤ ਹੈ ਅਨੰਤ ਤੇਜ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
biant hai anant hai anant tej jaaneeai |He is Limitless, endless and be comprehended as consisting of endless Glory.
ਅਭੂਮ ਅਭਿਜ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਅਛਿਜ ਤੇਜ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥
abhoom abhij hai sadaa achhij tej maaneeai |He is unearthly and unappeasable and be considered as consisting of unassailable Glory.
ਨ ਆਧ ਹੈ ਨ ਬਿਆਧ ਹੈ ਅਗਾਧ ਰੂਪ ਲੇਖੀਐ ॥
n aadh hai na biaadh hai agaadh roop lekheeai |He is without the ailments of body and mind and be Known as the lord of Unfathomable form.
ਅਦੋਖ ਹੈ ਅਦਾਗ ਹੈ ਅਛੈ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਪੇਖੀਐ ॥੧੬॥੧੭੬॥
adokh hai adaag hai achhai prataap pekheeai |16|176|He is Without blemish and stain and be visualised as consisting of Indestructible Glory .16.176
ਨ ਕਰਮ ਹੈ ਨ ਭਰਮ ਹੈ ਨ ਧਰਮ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਉ ਹੈ ॥
n karam hai na bharam hai na dharam ko prabhaau hai |He is beyond the impact of action, illusion and religion.
ਨ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਨ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਰਲਾਉ ਹੈ ॥
n jantr hai na tantr hai na mantr ko ralaau hai |He is neither Yantra, nor Tantra nor a blend of slander.
ਨ ਛਲ ਹੈ ਨ ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਨ ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ ॥
n chhal hai na chhidr hai na chhidr ko saroop hai |He is neither deceit, nor malice nor a form of slander.
ਅਭੰਗ ਹੈ ਅਨੰਗ ਹੈ ਅਗੰਜ ਸੀ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਹੈ ॥੧੭॥੧੭੭॥
abhang hai anang hai aganj see bibhoot hai |17|177|He is Indivisible, limbless and treasure of unending equipment.17.177.
ਨ ਕਾਮ ਹੈ ਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਹੈ ਨ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਕਾਰ ਹੈ ॥
n kaam hai na krodh hai na lobh moh kaar hai |He is without the activity of lust, anger, greed and attachment.
ਨ ਆਧ ਹੈ ਨ ਗਾਧ ਹੈ ਨ ਬਿਆਧ ਕੋ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਹੈ ॥
n aadh hai na gaadh hai na biaadh ko bichaar hai |He, the Unfathomable Lord, is without the concepts of the ailments of the body and mind.
ਨ ਰੰਗ ਰਾਗ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਨ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖ ਰਾਰ ਹੈ ॥
n rang raag roop hai na roop rekh raar hai |He is without affection for colour and form, He is without the dispute of beauty and line.
ਨ ਹਾਉ ਹੈ ਨ ਭਾਉ ਹੈ ਨ ਦਾਉ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੧੮॥੧੭੮॥
n haau hai na bhaau hai na daau ko prakaar hai |18|178|He is without gesticulation and charm and any kind of deception. 18.178.
ਗਜਾਧਪੀ ਨਰਾਧਪੀ ਕਰੰਤ ਸੇਵ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ॥
gajaadhapee naraadhapee karant sev hai sadaa |Indra and Kuber are always at Thy service.
ਸਿਤਸੁਤੀ ਤਪਸਪਤੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਜਪਸ ਸਦਾ ॥
sitasutee tapasapatee banasapatee japas sadaa |The moon, sun and Varuna ever repeat Thy Name.
ਅਗਸਤ ਆਦਿ ਜੇ ਬਡੇ ਤਪਸਪਤੀ ਬਿਸੇਖੀਐ ॥
agasat aad je badde tapasapatee bisekheeai |All the distinctive and great ascetics including Agastya etc
ਬਿਅੰਤ ਬਿਅੰਤ ਬਿਅੰਤ ਕੋ ਕਰੰਤ ਪਾਠ ਪੇਖੀਐ ॥੧੯॥੧੭੯॥
biant biant biant ko karant paatth pekheeai |19|179|See them reciting the Praises of the Infinite and Limitless Lord.19.179.
ਅਗਾਧ ਆਦਿ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਅਨਾਦ ਬਾਤ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥
agaadh aad devakee anaad baat maaneeai |The discourse of that Profound and Primal Lord is without beginning.
ਨ ਜਾਤ ਪਾਤ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਨੇਹ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
n jaat paat mantr mitr satr saneh jaaneeai |He hath no caste, lineage, adviser, friend, enemy and love.
ਸਦੀਵ ਸਰਬ ਲੋਕ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਖਿਆਲ ਮੈ ਰਹੈ ॥
sadeev sarab lok ke kripaal khiaal mai rahai |I may always remain absorbed in the Beneficent Lord of all the worlds.
ਤੁਰੰਤ ਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਦੇਹ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਸੋ ਦਹੈ ॥੨੦॥੧੮੦॥
turant droh deh ke anant bhaant so dahai |20|180|That Lord removes immediately all the infinite agonies of the body. 20.180.
ਤ੍ਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਰੂਆਲ ਛੰਦ ॥

ਰੂਪ ਰਾਗ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਰੰਗ ਨ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਬਿਹੀਨ ॥
roop raag na rekh rang na janam maran biheen |He is without form, affection, mark and colour and also without birth and death.
ਆਦਿ ਨਾਥ ਅਗਾਧ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੁ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ॥
aad naath agaadh purakh su dharam karam prabeen |He is the Primal Master, Unfathomable and All-Pervading Lord and also adept in pious actions.
ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
jantr mantr na tantr jaa ko aad purakh apaar |He is the Primal and Infinite Purusha without any Yantra, Mantra and Tantra.
ਹਸਤ ਕੀਟ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਸੈ ਸਭ ਠਉਰ ਮੈ ਨਿਰਧਾਰ ॥੧॥੧੮੧॥
hasat keett bikhai basai sabh tthaur mai niradhaar |1|181|He abides in both the elephant and the ant, and be considered living at all the places. 1.181.
ਜਾਤਿ ਪਾਤਿ ਨ ਤਾਤ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਤ ਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ॥
jaat paat na taat jaa ko mantr maat na mitr |He is without caste, lineage, father, mother, adviser and friend.
ਸਰਬ ਠਉਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਮਿਓ ਜਿਹ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਚਿਹਨ ਨ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ॥
sarab tthaur bikhai ramio jih chakr chihan na chitr |He is All-Pervading, and without mark, sign and picture.
ਆਦਿ ਦੇਵ ਉਦਾਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਗਾਧ ਨਾਥ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
aad dev udaar moorat agaadh naath anant |He is the Primal Lord, beneficent Entity, Unfathomable and Infinite Lord.
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤ ਨ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਅਬਿਖਾਦ ਦੇਵ ਦੁਰੰਤ ॥੨॥੧੮੨॥
aad ant na jaaneeai abikhaad dev durant |2|182|His Beginning and End are unknown and He is far away from conflicts.2.182.
ਦੇਵ ਭੇਵ ਨ ਜਾਨਹੀ ਜਿਹ ਮਰਮ ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ॥
dev bhev na jaanahee jih maram bed kateb |His secrets are not known to gods and also the Vedas and Semitic texts.
ਸਨਕ ਔ ਸਨਕੇਸ ਨੰਦਨ ਪਾਵਹੀ ਨ ਹਸੇਬ ॥
sanak aau sanakes nandan paavahee na haseb |Sanak, Sanandan etc the Sons of Brahma could not know His secret in spite of their service.
ਜਛ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਮਛ ਮਾਨਸ ਮੁਰਗ ਉਰਗ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
jachh kinar machh maanas murag urag apaar |Also Yakshas, Kinnars, fishes, men and many beings and serpents of the nether-world.
ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਸਿਵ ਸਕ੍ਰ ਔ ਮੁਖਚਾਰ ॥੩॥੧੮੩॥
net net pukaar hee siv sakr aau mukhachaar |3|183|The gods Shiva, Indra and Brahma repeat ‘Neti, Neti’ about Him.3.183.
ਸਰਬ ਸਪਤ ਪਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਤਰ ਜਾਪ ਹੀ ਜਿਹ ਜਾਪ ॥
sarab sapat pataar ke tar jaap hee jih jaap |All the beings of the seven nether-worlds down below repeats His Name.
ਆਦਿ ਦੇਵ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਤੇਜ ਅਨਾਦ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਤਾਪ ॥
aad dev agaadh tej anaad moorat ataap |He is the Primal Lord of Unfathomable Glory, the Beginningless and Anguishless Entity.
ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਕਰ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਕੀਨ ॥
jantr mantr na aavee kar tantr mantr na keen |He cannot be overpowered by Yantras and Mantras, He never yielded before Tantras and Mantras.
ਸਰਬ ਠਉਰ ਰਹਿਓ ਬਿਰਾਜ ਧਿਰਾਜ ਰਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ॥੪॥੧੮੪॥
sarab tthaur rahio biraaj dhiraaj raaj prabeen |4|184|That superb Sovereign is All-Pervading and Scans all.4.184.
ਜਛ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਦੇਵ ਦਾਨੋ ਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਛਤ੍ਰੀਅਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
jachh gandhrab dev daano na braham chhatreean maeh |He is neither in Yakshas, Gandharvas, gods and demons, nor in Brahmins and Kshatriyas.
ਬੈਸਨੰ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ਸੂਦ੍ਰ ਭੀ ਵਹ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
baisanan ke bikhai biraajai soodr bhee vah naeh |He is neither in Vaishnavas nor in Shudras.
ਗੂੜ ਗਉਡ ਨ ਭੀਲ ਭੀਕਰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੇਖ ਸਰੂਪ ॥
goorr gaudd na bheel bheekar braham sekh saroop |He is neither in Rajputs, Gaurs and Bhils, nor in Brahmins and Sheikths.
ਰਾਤਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਨ ਮਧ ਉਰਧ ਨ ਭੂਮ ਅਕਾਸ ਅਨੂਪ ॥੫॥੧੮੫॥
raat divas na madh uradh na bhoom akaas anoop |5|185|He is neither within night and day He, the Unique Lord is also not within earth, sky and nether-world.5.185.
ਜਾਤਿ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਕਾਲ ਕਰਮ ਨ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਹੀਨ ॥
jaat janam na kaal karam na dharam karam biheen |He is without caste, birth, death and action and also without the impact of religious rituals.
ਤੀਰਥ ਜਾਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਦੇਵ ਪੂਜਾ ਗੋਰ ਕੇ ਨ ਅਧੀਨ ॥
teerath jaatr na dev poojaa gor ke na adheen |He is beyond the impact of pilgrimage, worship of deities and the sacrament of creation.
ਸਰਬ ਸਪਤ ਪਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਤਰ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਜਿਹ ਜੋਤ ॥
sarab sapat pataar ke tar jaaneeai jih jot |His Light Pervades in all the beings of the seven nether-worlds down below.
ਸੇਸ ਨਾਮ ਸਹੰਸ੍ਰ ਫਨ ਨਹਿ ਨੇਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਤ ॥੬॥੧੮੬॥
ses naam sahansr fan neh net pooran hot |6|186|The Sheshananga with his thousand hoods repeats His Names, but still short of his efforts.6.186.
ਸੋਧਿ ਸੋਧਿ ਹਟੇ ਸਭੈ ਸੁਰ ਬਿਰੋਧ ਦਾਨਵ ਸਰਬ ॥
sodh sodh hatte sabhai sur birodh daanav sarab |All the gods and demons have grown tired in His search.
ਗਾਇ ਗਾਇ ਹਟੇ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਗਵਾਇ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਗਰਬ ॥
gaae gaae hatte gandhrab gavaae kinar garab |The ego of Gandharvas and Kinnars has been shattered by singing His Praises continuously.
ਪੜ੍ਹਤ ਪੜ੍ਹਤ ਥਕੇ ਮਹਾ ਕਬਿ ਗੜ੍ਹਤ ਗਾੜ੍ਹ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
parrhat parrhat thake mahaa kab garrhat gaarrh anant |The great poets have become weary of reading and composing their innumerable epics.
ਹਾਰਿ ਹਾਰਿ ਕਹਿਓ ਸਭੂ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਦੁਰੰਤ ॥੭॥੧੮੭॥
haar haar kahio sabhoo mil naam naam durant |7|187|All have ultimately declared that the meditation on the Name of the Lord is a very hard task. 7.187.
ਬੇਦ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਲਖਿਓ ਨ ਸੇਬ ਕਤੇਬ ॥
bed bhed na paaeio lakhio na seb kateb |The Vedas have not been able to know His mystery and the Semitic Scriptures could not comprehend His service.
ਦੇਵ ਦਾਨੋ ਮੂੜ ਮਾਨੋ ਜਛ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਜੇਬ ॥
dev daano moorr maano jachh na jaanai jeb |The gods, demons and men are foolish and the Yakshas do not know His Glory.
ਭੂਤ ਭਬ ਭਵਾਨ ਭੂਪਤ ਆਦਿ ਨਾਥ ਅਨਾਥ ॥
bhoot bhab bhavaan bhoopat aad naath anaath |He is the king of past, present and future and Primal Master of the Masterless.
ਅਗਨਿ ਬਾਇ ਜਲੇ ਥਲੇ ਮਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਠਉਰ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥੮॥੧੮੮॥
agan baae jale thale meh sarab tthaur nivaas |8|188|He abides at all the places including fire, air, water and earth.8.188.
ਦੇਹ ਗੇਹ ਨ ਨੇਹ ਸਨੇਹ ਅਬੇਹ ਨਾਥ ਅਜੀਤ ॥
deh geh na neh saneh abeh naath ajeet |He hath no affection for body or love for home, He is Invincible and Unconquerable Lord.
ਸਰਬ ਗੰਜਨ ਸਰਬ ਭੰਜਨ ਸਰਬ ਤੇ ਅਨਭੀਤ ॥
sarab ganjan sarab bhanjan sarab te anabheet |He is Destroyer and defacer of all, He is without malice and Merciful to all.
ਸਰਬ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਰਬ ਹਰਤਾ ਸਰਬ ਦ੍ਯਾਲ ਅਦ੍ਵੇਖ ॥
sarab karataa sarab harataa sarab dayaal advekh |He is Creator and Destroyer of all, He is without malice and Merciful to all.
