ਤਬ ਤਿਨ ਕਾਮ ਜਾਰ ਸੋਊ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
tab tin kaam jaar soaoo kiyo |Then the guy did the same thing
ਮੂਕ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
mook mantr raajaa ko diyo |And gave the secret mantra to the king.
ਆਪਨ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥
aapan taa kau guroo kahaayo |Called himself his guru.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਰਾਵ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੬॥
bhed abhed raav neh paayo |6|King Bhed Abhed could not understand anything. 6.
ਜਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਅੰਤਹਪੁਰ ਆਏ ॥
jab raajaa antahapur aae |When the king came to Ranvas.
ਤਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਯੌ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥
tab raanee yau bachan sunaae |Then the queen said thus,
ਗੁਰ ਜੁ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਵੈ ਰਾਇ ਨ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਯੈ ॥
gur ju bhramaavai raae na bhramiyai |O Rajan! If the Guru wants to deceive, then do not deceive.
ਭਲੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਛਮਿਯੈ ॥੭॥
bhalee buree gur kare su chhamiyai |7|If the Guru speaks bad or good, forgive him. 7.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਦਰਬੁ ਚੁਰਾਵੈ ॥
jo gur grih ko darab churaavai |If the Guru steals the wealth of the house.
ਸੌਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤਨ ਕੇਲ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
sauak triyaa tan kel kamaavai |(or) to fondle a woman,
ਜੋ ਕੁਪਿ ਕਰੈ ਖੜਗ ਕੋ ਵਾਰਾ ॥
jo kup karai kharrag ko vaaraa |(or) get angry and attack the kharg,
ਜੋ ਸਿਖ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਲਹੈ ਸੋ ਮਾਰਾ ॥੮॥
jo sikh bhramat lahai so maaraa |8|(So) the Sikh who was deceived was killed. 8.
ਜਿਨ ਨੈ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਛੂ ਜਿਹ ਦਯੋ ॥
jin nai mantr kachhoo jih dayo |Guru has given some mantra
ਤਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਮੋਲ ਸਿਖ ਕੋ ਲਯੋ ॥
tin gur mol sikh ko layo |So that Sikh has been taken away by the Guru.
ਭਗਨਿ ਮਾਤ ਜੌ ਰਮਤ ਨਿਹਰੀਯੈ ॥
bhagan maat jau ramat nihareeyai |(If we see him) having sex with his mother and sister
ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕਾਇ ਰੋਸ ਨਹਿ ਕਰੀਯੈ ॥੯॥
sees jhukaae ros neh kareeyai |9|So don't protest by lowering your head. 9.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਸਭਾ ਪਰਬ ਭੀਤਰ ਸੁਨੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਰਸਾਲ ॥
sabhaa parab bheetar sunee jam kee kathaa rasaal |(of 'Mahabharata') heard an interesting story of Yama in the Sabha Parva.
ਬ੍ਰਯਾਸਾਸਿਨ ਸੁਕ ਬਕਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਸੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਕਹੌ ਉਤਾਲ ॥੧੦॥
brayaasaasin suk bakatr te so tuhi kahau utaal |10|(O king!) Now I tell you quickly after hearing from Sukdev (sitting on) the seat of Beas. 10.
ਜਮ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਿਖਿ ਏਕ ਕੋ ਘਰ ਮੈ ਕਿਯੋ ਪਯਾਨ ॥
jam raajaa rikh ek ko ghar mai kiyo payaan |King Jam went to a sage's house.
ਮਾਤ ਭਗਨਿ ਰਿਖਿ ਬਾਲ ਸੌ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨ ॥੧੧॥
maat bhagan rikh baal sau rat maanee ruch maan |11|(He) played with the sage's mother, sister and wife with interest. 11.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਜਬ ਰਿਖਿ ਚਲਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਯੋ ॥
jab rikh chal apune grih aayo |When the sage went (from outside) and came to his house
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸੌ ਰਮਤ ਪੁਰਖ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
triy sau ramat purakh lakh paayo |So saw a man enjoying himself with (his) wife.
ਧਰਮ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨ ਤਿਹ ਕਛੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥
dharam bichaar na tih kachh kahiyo |Considering (the duty of serving the guest) according to religion, he did not say anything to him.
ਤਿਹ ਪਗ ਮਾਥ ਛੂਆਵਨ ਚਹਿਯੋ ॥੧੨॥
tih pag maath chhooaavan chahiyo |12|(Sagon) wanted to touch (his) forehead with his feet. 12.
ਸਿਰ ਮੌ ਚਰਨ ਛੁਅਤ ਧਰ ਰਹਿਯੋ ॥
sir mau charan chhuat dhar rahiyo |Let (his) feet touch the head.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਜਮ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥
dhanay dhanay taa kau jam kahiyo |Jam called him blessed.
ਮੈ ਹੌ ਕਾਲ ਜਗਤ ਜਿਹ ਘਾਯੋ ॥
mai hau kaal jagat jih ghaayo |(O Rishi!) I am Kaal who has killed all the worlds.
ਤੇਰੋ ਧਰਮ ਬਿਲੋਕਨ ਆਯੋ ॥੧੩॥
tero dharam bilokan aayo |13|(I have come) to see your religion. 13.
ਸੁਨਤ ਹੁਤੌ ਤੈਸੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਦੇਖਿਯੋ ॥
sunat hutau taiso tuhi dekhiyo |As I have heard (thee), I have seen the same.
ਧਰਮ ਸਕਲ ਤੁਮਰੌ ਅਵਰੇਖਿਯੋ ॥
dharam sakal tumarau avarekhiyo |(I) have guessed all your religion.
ਤੋਰੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਕਪਟ ਕਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
tore bikhai kapatt kachh naahee |There is no hypocrisy in you.
ਯੌ ਮੈ ਲਹਿਯੋ ਸਾਚੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੧੪॥
yau mai lahiyo saach man maahee |14|I have accepted this fact in my mind. 14.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਨਿਰਖ ਸਤਤਾ ਬਿਪ੍ਰ ਕੀ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਮੋਦ ਬਢਾਇ ॥
nirakh satataa bipr kee man mai mod badtaae |By seeing the truth of Brahman (Sage) and being pleased in mind
ਜਿਯਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਦਿਯੋ ਕਾਲ ਦਾਨ ਬਰ ਦਾਇ ॥੧੫॥
jiyan mukat taa kau diyo kaal daan bar daae |15|Kaal gave him the boon of being free from life. 15.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੌ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਰਹਿ ਲਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
nrip kau pratham prabodh kar jaareh layo bulaae |(The queen) explained to the king and called the friend
ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਖਾਟ ਡਸਵਾਇ ਕੈ ਭੋਗ ਕਿਯੋ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ॥੧੬॥
pragatt khaatt ddasavaae kai bhog kiyo sukh paae |16|And spread the bed in front of everyone (with a friend) and happily indulged. 16.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਤਬ ਲੌ ਆਪ ਰਾਵ ਜੂ ਆਯੋ ॥
tab lau aap raav joo aayo |By then the king himself came
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸੌ ਰਮਤ ਜਾਰ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
triy sau ramat jaar lakh paayo |And saw the man having fun with the woman.
ਕਥਾ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਵਹੈ ਚੁਪ ਰਹਿਯੋ ॥
kathaa sanbhaar vahai chup rahiyo |Remembering the story, he remained silent
ਤਿਨ ਕੌ ਕੋਪ ਬਚਨ ਨਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥੧੭॥
tin kau kop bachan neh kahiyo |17|And did not say any word of anger to him. 17.
ਚਰਨ ਛੁਅਨ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਚਿਤ ਚਹਿਯੋ ॥
charan chhuan taa ke chit chahiyo |Started wanting to touch his feet
ਵੈਸਹਿ ਜਾਰ ਭਜਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰਹਿਯੋ ॥
vaiseh jaar bhajat triy rahiyo |And the man continued to indulge the woman in the same way.
ਤਬ ਯੌ ਜਾਰਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
tab yau jaar kaadt kar diyo |Then the guy kicked him out.
ਮੂਰਖ ਸੀਸ ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਕਰਿ ਗਯੋ ॥੧੮॥
moorakh sees nayaae kar gayo |18|The fool bowed his head and left. 18.
ਜੜ ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਯੋ ॥
jarr jaanayo muhi guroo bhramaayo |The fool thought that I had been deceived by the Guru
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਛੂ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed kachhoo neh paayo |And did not think of difference.
ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਬਲਾ ਛਲਿ ਗਈ ॥
eih charitr abalaa chhal gee |With this character, the woman tricked the king
ਰਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਥ ਟਿਕਾਵਤ ਭਈ ॥੧੯॥
rat kar maath ttikaavat bhee |19|And by doing Rati-Kreeda, he kept his forehead (from him). 19.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਪਤਿ ਦੇਖਤ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਮਾਥ ਟਿਕਾਇ ॥
pat dekhat rat maan kai nrip ko maath ttikaae |In the sight of her husband, she turned her head away from the king by having sexual intercourse (with a friend).
ਧਨ ਦੀਨੋ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਹਿ ਐਸੇ ਚਰਿਤ ਦਿਖਾਇ ॥੨੦॥
dhan deeno sabh preetameh aaise charit dikhaae |20|By showing this kind of character, he gave Pritam a lot of money. 20.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਇਕ ਸੌ ਛਿਆਨਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੧੯੬॥੩੬੮੯॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade ik sau chhiaanavo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |196|3689|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 196th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitopakhyan, all is auspicious. 196.3689. goes on

ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰਨਰੰਗ ਮਤੀ ਇਕ ਕਹਿਯੈ ॥
triy ranarang matee ik kahiyai |A woman named Ranrang Mati used to say.
ਤਾ ਸਮ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਰਾਨੀ ਲਹਿਯੈ ॥
taa sam avar na raanee lahiyai |There was no other queen like her.
ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਤਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
apramaan tih prabhaa biraajai |She had a lot of beauty
ਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਿਰਖ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਲਾਜੈ ॥੧॥
jaa ko nirakh chandramaa laajai |1|Seeing whom even the moon used to blush. 1.
ਏਕ ਦੁਰਗ ਤਿਨ ਬਡੌ ਤਕਾਯੋ ॥
ek durag tin baddau takaayo |He saw a huge fort.
ਯਹੈ ਰਾਨਿਯਹਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ ਉਪਜਾਯੋ ॥
yahai raaniyeh mantr upajaayo |An idea arose (in the mind of the queen) (to capture this fort).
ਡੋਰਾ ਪਾਚ ਸਹੰਸ੍ਰ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
ddoraa paach sahansr savaare |(He) got five thousand barrels ready
ਤਾ ਮੈ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਾਚ ਸੈ ਡਾਰੈ ॥੨॥
taa mai purakh paach sai ddaarai |2|And put five hundred men (soldiers) in it. 2.
ਕਛੂ ਆਪ ਕੌ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਜਤਾਯੋ ॥
kachhoo aap kau traas jataayo |To express some of your fears
ਏਕ ਦੂਤ ਦ੍ਰੁਗ ਸਾਹਿ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
ek doot drug saeh patthaayo |(He) sent a messenger to the lord of the fort
ਠਉਰ ਕਬੀਲਨ ਕੌ ਹ੍ਯਾਂ ਪਾਊ ॥
tthaur kabeelan kau hayaan paaoo |That if my tribe gets a place to stay here
ਮੈ ਤੁਰਕਨ ਸੌ ਖੜਗ ਬਜਾਊ ॥੩॥
mai turakan sau kharrag bajaaoo |3|Then I will be able to take iron well with the Turks. 3.
ਤੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਬੈਨ ਭੂਲਿ ਏ ਗਏ ॥
te sun bain bhool e ge |After listening to him, they forgot
ਗੜ ਮੈ ਪੈਠਨ ਡੋਰਾ ਦਏ ॥
garr mai paitthan ddoraa de |(so that there is no trick of the enemy in it). (They) allowed the dolas to enter the fort.
ਕੋਟ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਬੈ ਉਤਰੇ ॥
kott dvaar ke jabai utare |As soon as (he) alighted at the gate of the fort,
