Bhujang Prayat Verse:
A king lived in Baruni (west) direction.
Another (king) like him was not created by Vidhata.
He had a daughter named Bikhya.
There was no one equal to (her) gods, giants or serpent women. 1.
His father named Prabha Sen lived (there).
Who was popular among the three people as Banke Surveer.
A big Chhatradhari (king) came there
Who was an expert in all weapons and was a complete master of education. 2.
(Once) Prabha Sen came (to) where there was a beautiful garden.
Seeing the beauty of that (garden), the (king's) heart became happy.
He stopped the chariot there by telling the warriors
And walked on the path of the garden. 3.
When he saw the beautiful garden
So I thought about it in my mind
To rest here for some time now
And after a couple of hours, he passed through the city. 4.
He stopped the horses and slept for a couple of hours
And removed all the sorrows of his mind.
There came a Raj Kumari named Bikhya.
Seeing him (the umbrella-wearing king) he forgot his pure wisdom. 5.
(When) he saw Prabha Sen sleeping,
Then Raj Kumari thought like this in her mind
That I am the wife of this (Umbrella King) and this is my husband.
I will marry this one, I am (its) bullet today. 6.
The girl brought this (thought) to mind without hesitation
That I will marry him, (otherwise) I will leave the capital.
He saw a letter lying there.
The woman thought this in her mind.7.
(She) wanted to take the letter and open it and read it.
But she was afraid considering the punishment of the Vedas.
(For according to the Vedas) whoever opens the lying letter,
He is thrown into the hells by Vidhata. 8.
Suspicious, she took the letter in her hand
And holding him to his chest as a friend.
