ਮੈਨ ਸੁ ਨਾਰ ਭਰਤ ਜਨੁ ਭਰੀ ॥੨॥
main su naar bharat jan bharee |2|(It seemed) as if (she) was completely filled with lust. 2.
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਏਕ ਧਾਮ ਸੁਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
taa ke ek dhaam sut bhayo |A son was born to them.
ਬੀਸ ਬਰਿਸ ਕੋ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਮਰਿ ਗਯੋ ॥
bees baris ko hvai mar gayo |(Who) died at the age of twenty years.
ਰਨਿਯਹਿ ਬਾਢਾ ਸੋਕ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
raniyeh baadtaa sok apaaraa |The queen's grief increased greatly,
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਬਿਸਰਾ ਘਰ ਬਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
jaa te sabh bisaraa ghar baaraa |3|Due to which all the house was forgotten. 3.
ਤਹ ਇਕ ਪੂਤ ਸਾਹ ਕੋ ਆਯੋ ॥
tah ik poot saah ko aayo |A son of Shah came there.
ਤੇਜਵਾਨ ਦੁਤਿ ਕੋ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਯੋ ॥
tejavaan dut ko jan jaayo |(He was so) bright, as if Prakash had given birth to him.
ਜੈਸੋ ਤਿਹ ਸੁਤ ਕੋ ਥੋ ਰੂਪਾ ॥
jaiso tih sut ko tho roopaa |As was the form of the queen's son,
ਤੈਸੋ ਈ ਤਿਹ ਲਗਤ ਸਰੂਪਾ ॥੪॥
taiso ee tih lagat saroopaa |4|In the same way, its form also looked. 4.
ਜਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਸੋ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
jab raanee so purakh nihaaraa |When the queen saw that man,
ਲਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਤਜ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
laaj saaj taj hridai bichaaraa |So, leaving the lodge etiquette, he thought in his heart.
ਯਾ ਸੌ ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਅਬ ਕਰਿਯੈ ॥
yaa sau kaam bhog ab kariyai |Let me have fun with it now,
ਨਾਤਰ ਮਾਰ ਛੁਰਕਿਆ ਮਰਿਯੈ ॥੫॥
naatar maar chhurakiaa mariyai |5|Otherwise, I will die with a knife. 5.
ਜਬ ਵਹੁ ਕੁਅਰ ਰਾਹ ਤਿਹ ਆਵੈ ॥
jab vahu kuar raah tih aavai |When he passed by Kumar Raha
ਚੰਚਲ ਦੇਖਨ ਕੌ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
chanchal dekhan kau tih jaavai |Then the queen would go to see him.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
eik din taa ke naath nihaaree |One day he was seen by the king
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੌ ਤਿਹ ਬਾਤ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥੬॥
eih bidh sau tih baat uchaaree |6|And spoke to him like this. 6.
ਕਿਹ ਨਿਮਿਤਿ ਇਹ ਠਾ ਤੂ ਆਈ ॥
kih nimit ih tthaa too aaee |How did you come here?
ਹੇਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਕਿਹ ਕਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਲਾਈ ॥
her rahee kih kah drig laaee |And who are you looking at?
ਤਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
tab raanee ih bhaat uchaaro |Then the queen said thus,
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਬਚਨ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥੭॥
sunahu nripat tum bachan hamaaro |7|O Rajan! You listen to me.7.
ਜਸ ਤਵ ਸੁਤ ਸੁਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥
jas tav sut sur lok sidhaayo |As your son has made heaven,
ਸੋ ਧਰਿ ਰੂਪ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਜਨੁ ਆਯੋ ॥
so dhar roop dutiy jan aayo |He (Kumar) appeared as if he had assumed another form.
ਤਿਹ ਤੁਮ ਮੁਰਿ ਢਿਗ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਵਾਵੋ ॥
tih tum mur dtig sej suvaavo |You sleep it near my sage
ਹਮਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਕੋ ਤਾਪ ਮਿਟਾਵੋ ॥੮॥
hamare chit ko taap mittaavo |8|And remove the pain of my heart.8.
ਮੂਰਖ ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
moorakh bhed abhed na paayo |The fool (king) did not understand the difference
ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਆਪੁ ਲੈ ਆਯੋ ॥
taeh bulaae aap lai aayo |And he himself called that young man.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪੁਨਿ ਤਿਹ ਭਰੁਆਪਨ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥
nrip pun tih bharuaapan kariyo |The king himself brokered ('Bharuapan').
ਭਲੋ ਬੁਰੋ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ਬਿਚਰਿਯੋ ॥੯॥
bhalo buro na bichaar bichariyo |9|And did not think of good or bad. 9.
ਭਰੂਆ ਕੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਕਹ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥
bharooaa kee kriaa kah kariyo |(He) worked as a broker
ਚਾਰਿ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਬਿਚਰਿਯੋ ॥
chaar bichaar kachhoo na bichariyo |And thought nothing of right and wrong.
ਦੂਤੀ ਪਠਵਨ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬਚੀ ॥
dootee patthavan te triy bachee |The queen escaped (from calling him) by sending a messenger
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਦੂਤੀ ਕਰਿ ਰਚੀ ॥੧੦॥
bhoopat kee dootee kar rachee |10|And made the king a messenger. 10.
ਤਾਹਿ ਸੇਜ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਟ ਸੁਵਾਵੈ ॥
taeh sej ke nikatt suvaavai |Holding him close to his sage
ਭਲੋ ਭਲੋ ਭੋਜਨ ਤਿਹ ਖੁਵਾਵੈ ॥
bhalo bhalo bhojan tih khuvaavai |And fed him good food.
ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਸੁਤ ਮੁਰ ਕੀ ਅਨੁਹਾਰਾ ॥
kahai su sut mur kee anuhaaraa |Saying that (it) has a face like my son's,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਯਾ ਸੰਗ ਹਮਰੋ ਪ੍ਯਾਰਾ ॥੧੧॥
taa te yaa sang hamaro payaaraa |11|That's why I find its association very dear. 11.
ਜੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਭੋਜ ਖੁਵਾਰੈ ॥
jo triy taa kau bhoj khuvaarai |The (other) woman who feeds him,
ਰਾਨੀ ਝਝਕਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਡਾਰੈ ॥
raanee jhajhak taeh triy ddaarai |So the queen used to scold him.
ਇਹ ਮੋਰੇ ਸੁਤ ਕੀ ਅਨੁਹਾਰਾ ॥
eih more sut kee anuhaaraa |His face is like that of my son.
ਭਲੋ ਭਲੋ ਚਹਿਯਤ ਤਿਹ ਖ੍ਵਾਰਾ ॥੧੨॥
bhalo bhalo chahiyat tih khvaaraa |12|(Therefore) it should be given good food. 12.
ਨਿਕਟਿ ਆਪਨੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੁਵਾਵੈ ॥
nikatt aapane taeh suvaavai |Holding her close
ਤਿਹ ਢਿਗ ਅਪਨੀ ਸੇਜ ਬਿਛਾਵੈ ॥
tih dtig apanee sej bichhaavai |And laying her sedge near him.
ਜਬ ਤਾ ਸੰਗ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸ੍ਵੈ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
jab taa sang nripat svai jaavai |When the king sleeps with her,
ਤਬ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਾ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੧੩॥
tab triy taa sang bhog kamaavai |13|Then the queen used to have sex with him (Kumar). 13.
ਕਸਿ ਕਸਿ ਰਮੈ ਜਾਰ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
kas kas ramai jaar ke sangaa |(She) used to have fun with friends
ਦਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਕਰੈ ਸਰਬੰਗਾ ॥
dal mal taeh karai sarabangaa |And would make all his limbs sweet.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਨ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਈ ॥
bhaat bhaat tan bhog kamaaee |(With him) used to indulge in various things
