ਗਹੇ ਸੂਲ ਸੈਥੀ ਸਭੈ ਸੂਰ ਧਾਏ ॥
gahe sool saithee sabhai soor dhaae |All the warriors ran with tridents and spears.
ਮਹਾਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਤੁੰਦ ਬਾਜੀ ਨਚਾਏ ॥੪੪॥
mahaakop kai tund baajee nachaae |44|Being very angry, he danced the fast horses. 44.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਕੇਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਨਿਬਲ ਤਹ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
kete prabal nibal tah keene |How many strong warriors became weak
ਜੀਤਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਰਿਪੁ ਲੀਨੇ ॥
jeet jeet kete rip leene |And how many heroes did he win.
ਕੇਤੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਭਟ ਭਏ ॥
kete bin praanan bhatt bhe |How many heroes lost their lives.
ਰਹਿ ਰਹਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਥ ਹੀ ਗਏ ॥੪੫॥
reh reh sasatr saath hee ge |45|And they went (to Yamloka) holding weapons in their hands. 45.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang chhand |Bhujang Verse:
ਕਰੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਰਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਰਥੀ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੂਟੇ ॥
karee kror maare rathee kott kootte |Millions of elephants were killed and millions of charioteers were beaten.
ਕਿਤੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ ਘਾਏ ਫਿਰੈ ਬਾਜ ਛੂਟੇ ॥
kite svaar ghaae firai baaj chhootte |How many riders were killed and the horses roamed loose.
ਕਿਤੇ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਛੇਕੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਤੋਰੇ ॥
kite chhatr chheke kite chhatr tore |How many umbrellas were torn and how many umbrellas were broken.
ਕਿਤੇ ਬਾਧਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਛੈਲ ਛੋਰੇ ॥੪੬॥
kite baadh leene kite chhail chhore |46|How many heroes were captured and how many were released. 46.
ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀਰੁ ਭਾਜੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਕੋਪਿ ਢੂਕੇ ॥
kite bheer bhaaje kite kop dtooke |How many cowards ('bhiru') fled and how many came (for war) filled with anger.
ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੂਕੇ ॥
chahoon or te maar hee maar kooke |The sounds of 'Maro Maro' were coming from all four sides.
ਲਏ ਬਾਹੁ ਸਾਹੰਸ੍ਰ ਸੋ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
le baahu saahansr so sasatr bhaare |Sahasrabahu wore heavy armor
ਚਲਿਯੋ ਕੋਪਿ ਕੈ ਰਾਜ ਬਾਜੇ ਨਗਾਰੇ ॥੪੭॥
chaliyo kop kai raaj baaje nagaare |47|And he went away in anger and the royal bells started ringing. 47.

ਜੁਧ ਭਯੇ ਕਹ ਲੌ ਗਨੋ ਇਤੀ ਨ ਆਵਤ ਸੁਧਿ ॥
judh bhaye kah lau gano itee na aavat sudh |It is impossible to describe what kind of war took place.
ਘਾਇਨ ਕੈ ਘਾਇਲ ਭਏ ਬਾਧਿ ਲਯੋ ਅਨਰੁਧ ॥੪੮॥
ghaaein kai ghaaeil bhe baadh layo anarudh |48|He tied up Anarudha who was injured with wounds. 48.

ਜਬ ਊਖਾ ਐਸੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
jab aookhaa aaise sun paaee |When Ukha heard this
ਲੀਨੇ ਮੋਰ ਬਾਧਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
leene mor baadh sukhadaaee |That my beloved has been bound.
ਤਬ ਰੇਖਾ ਕਹ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਇਸ ॥
tab rekhaa kah bol patthaaeis |Then took the line
ਨਗਰ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਿਕਾ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪਠਾਇਸ ॥੪੯॥
nagar dvaarikaa bahur patthaaeis |49|And then sent to Dwarika Nagar. 49.
ਚਲੀ ਚਲੀ ਜੈਯਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਤਹਾ ॥
chalee chalee jaiyahu tum tahaa |(Said to him) You go there
ਬੈਠੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਘਨ ਜਹਾ ॥
baitthe krisan sayaam ghan jahaa |Where Sri Krishna is sitting.
ਦੈ ਪਤਿਯਾ ਪਾਇਨ ਪਰਿ ਰਹਿਯਹੁ ॥
dai patiyaa paaein par rahiyahu |Falling at (their) feet by giving my letter
ਹਮਰੀ ਕਥਾ ਛੋਰਿ ਤੇ ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ॥੫੦॥
hamaree kathaa chhor te kahiyahu |50|And to say my point in detail. 50.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਰਛਾ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
deenaa naath hamaaree rachhaa keejiyai |(Saying to them) O sons of Dina! protect us
ਯਾ ਸੰਕਟ ਕੋ ਕਾਟਿ ਆਇ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
yaa sankatt ko kaatt aae kar deejiyai |And come and cut this crisis.
ਪਰਿਯੋ ਬੰਦ ਤੇ ਪੌਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਅਬੈ ਛੁਰਾਇਯੈ ॥
pariyo band te pauatreh abai chhuraaeiyai |Your grandson is bound, release (him) now.
ਹੋ ਤਬ ਆਪਨ ਕਹ ਦੀਨੁ ਧਰਨ ਕਹਾਇਯੈ ॥੫੧॥
ho tab aapan kah deen dharan kahaaeiyai |51|Then call yourselves the protectors of religion. 51.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਬਕੀ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਗੁਲਾਸੁਰ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
pratham bakee ko maar bahur bagulaasur maariyo |First he killed Bucky and then he killed Bagulasur.
ਸਕਟਾਸੁਰ ਕੇਸਿਯਹਿ ਕੇਸ ਗਹਿ ਕੰਸ ਪਛਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
sakattaasur kesiyeh kes geh kans pachhaariyo |Then killed Skatasur and Kesi and overpowered Kansa by holding the cases.
ਆਘਾਸੁਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਵਰਤ ਮੁਸਟ ਚੰਡੂਰ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
aaghaasur trinavarat musatt chanddoor bidaare |Killed Aghasur, Trinvarta, Must and Chandur.
ਹੋ ਲੀਜੈ ਹਮੈ ਬਚਾਇ ਸਕਲ ਹਮ ਸਰਨਿ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੫੨॥
ho leejai hamai bachaae sakal ham saran tihaare |52|save us now We are all under your shelter. 52.
ਮਧੁ ਕੌ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਮੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
madh kau pratham sanghaar bahur mur maradan keeno |First he killed Madhu, then he killed the dead demon.
ਦਾਵਾਨਲ ਤੇ ਰਾਖਿ ਸਕਲ ਗੋਪਨ ਕੋ ਲੀਨੋ ॥
daavaanal te raakh sakal gopan ko leeno |Saved all the gopas from Davanal.
ਮਹਾ ਕੋਪਿ ਕਰਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਜਬੈ ਬਰਖਾ ਬਰਖਾਈ ॥
mahaa kop kar indr jabai barakhaa barakhaaee |When Indra, being very angry, caused rain,
ਹੋ ਤਿਸੀ ਠੌਰ ਤੁਮ ਆਨ ਭਏ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੫੩॥
ho tisee tthauar tum aan bhe brijanaath sahaaee |53|So at that place O Brajnath! You helped (all). 53.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਜਹ ਸਾਧਨ ਸੰਕਟ ਬਨੈ ਤਹ ਤਹ ਲਏ ਬਚਾਇ ॥
jah saadhan sankatt banai tah tah le bachaae |Wherever there is a curse on righteous men, there (you) have saved.
ਅਬ ਹਮਹੋ ਸੰਕਟ ਬਨਿਯੋ ਕੀਜੈ ਆਨਿ ਸਹਾਇ ॥੫੪॥
ab hamaho sankatt baniyo keejai aan sahaae |54|Now we have a crisis, come and help us. 54.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਾ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਦੀਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜਬ ਕਹੀ ॥
chitr kalaa ih bhaat deen hvai jab kahee |When Chitra Kala said this with great effort.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਸਮਸਤ ਚਿਤ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਲਈ ॥
taa kee brithaa samasat chit jadupat lee |Sri Krishna understood their entire situation in his heart.
ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ਗਰੁੜ ਅਰੂੜ ਪਹੁੰਚੈ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
hvai kai garurr aroorr pahunchai aae kai |(He) immediately arrived there riding on Garuda
