ਸੋਈ ਸਤਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
soee sat nripat kar maanee |The king accepted that truthfully,
ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਜਾਰ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥
jih bidh taa sau jaar bakhaanee |As the (Queen's) friend told him.
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਬੈਦਨੀ ਰਾਖੀ ॥
taa ke dhaam baidanee raakhee |kept a physician at her (queen's) house,
ਜੋ ਨਰ ਤੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਖੀ ॥੨੩॥
jo nar te isatree kar bhaakhee |23|Which was said to be changed from male to female. 23.
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੋ ਰਹੈ ॥
rain divas taa ke so rahai |She (Vedana) used to stay there day and night
ਭੋਗ ਕਰੈ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਜਬ ਚਹੈ ॥
bhog karai tarunee jab chahai |And when the queen wanted pleasure, she indulged.
ਮੂਰਖ ਰਾਵ ਭੇਦ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
moorakh raav bhed neh paayo |The foolish king did not understand this secret
ਆਠ ਬਰਿਸ ਲਗਿ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਯੋ ॥੨੪॥
aatth baris lag moondd munddaayo |24|And he continued to shave his head for eight years (that is, he continued to be cheated). 24.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਨ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਹ ਛਲਾ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ॥
eih charitr tin chanchalaa nrip kah chhalaa sudhaar |With this character, that Chanchala (queen) deceived the king well.
ਆਠਿ ਬਰਸਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਭਜਿਯੋ ਸਕਿਯੋ ਨ ਮੂੜ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥੨੫॥
aatth baras mitreh bhajiyo sakiyo na moorr bichaar |25|(He) enjoyed union with Mitra for eight years, but the foolish king could not think. 25.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਉਨਾਨਵੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੮੯॥੫੫੦੨॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau unaanave charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |289|5502|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 289th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 289.5502. goes on

ਪੂਰਬ ਦੇਸ ਏਕ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਰਹੈ ॥
poorab des ek nrip rahai |There lived a king in (a) country in the east (direction).
ਪੂਰਬ ਸੈਨ ਨਾਮ ਜਗ ਕਹੈ ॥
poorab sain naam jag kahai |He was known to the world as Purab Sen.
ਪੂਰਬ ਦੇ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
poorab de taa ke ghar naaree |In his house there was a woman named Purab (Dei).
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਲਗਤ ਨ ਦੇਵ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
jaa sam lagat na dev kumaaree |1|Even Dev Kumari did not look like her. 1.
ਰੂਪ ਸੈਨ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਇਕ ਤਹਾ ॥
roop sain chhatree ik tahaa |A Roop San Chhatri also lived there.
ਤਾ ਸਮ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਕਹਾ ॥
taa sam sundar kahoon na kahaa |There was no one as beautiful as her anywhere.
ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਤਿਹ ਤੇਜ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
apramaan tih tej biraajai |His immense brilliance was beautiful
ਨਰੀ ਨਾਗਨਿਨ ਕੋ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਜੈ ॥੨॥
naree naaganin ko man laajai |2|(Looking at him) the hearts of human women and serpent women used to be moved. 2.
ਰਾਜ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਜਬ ਤਾਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
raaj tarun jab taeh nihaaraa |When the queen saw him,
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
man bach kram ih bhaat bichaaraa |So the mind started thinking like this by doing words and actions
ਕੈਸੇ ਕੇਲ ਸੁ ਯਾ ਸੰਗ ਕਰੌ ॥
kaise kel su yaa sang karau |How to play with it,
ਨਾਤਰ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਮਰੌ ॥੩॥
naatar maar kattaaree marau |3|Otherwise, I will die by stabbing. 3.
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਨਿ ਇਕ ਹਿਤੂ ਹਕਾਰੀ ॥
mitr jaan ik hitoo hakaaree |Considering him a friend, he called an interesting woman (Sakhi).
ਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਚਿਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
taa prat chit kee baat uchaaree |And talked to him about Chit.
ਕੈ ਇਹ ਮੁਹਿ ਤੈ ਦੇਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥
kai ih muhi tai dehi milaaee |Either give it to me,
ਨਾਤਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਨ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਹੈ ਆਈ ॥੪॥
naatar muhi na nirakh hai aaee |4|Otherwise, don't come and see me. 4.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਕੈ ਸਜਨੀ ਮੁਹਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਹ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਦੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
kai sajanee muhi mitr kah ab hee dehu milaae |Sakhi! Either match me now,
ਨਾਤਰ ਰਾਨੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੌ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨਿਰਖਿਯਹੁ ਆਇ ॥੫॥
naatar raanee mrit kau bahur nirakhiyahu aae |5|Otherwise, you will see the queen dead. 5.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਜਬ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
jab ih bhaat uchaaro raanee |When the queen said this
ਜਾਨਿ ਗਈ ਤਬ ਸਖੀ ਸਿਯਾਨੀ ॥
jaan gee tab sakhee siyaanee |Then she became known as wise and learned.
ਯਾ ਕੀ ਲਗਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੌ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
yaa kee lagan mitr sau laagee |It has become a partner.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਭੂਖ ਸਭ ਭਾਗੀ ॥੬॥
taa te neend bhookh sabh bhaagee |6|By doing that, (its) sleepless hunger has been all gone. 6.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਤਨਿਕ ਨ ਲਗੀ ਅਵਾਰ ਸਜਨ ਕੈ ਘਰ ਗਈ ॥
tanik na lagee avaar sajan kai ghar gee |It did not take long and (that maid) reached Mitra's house.
ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧਤ ਤਹ ਲ੍ਯਾਵਤ ਭਈ ॥
bahu bidh taeh prabodhat tah layaavat bhee |Brought him there after persuading him in many ways,
ਜਹ ਆਗੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬੈਠੀ ਸੇਜ ਡਸਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
jah aage triy baitthee sej ddasaae kai |Where Rani was sitting on a sedge.
ਹੋ ਤਹੀ ਤਵਨ ਕਹ ਹਿਤੂ ਨਿਕਾਸਿਯੋ ਲ੍ਯਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੭॥
ho tahee tavan kah hitoo nikaasiyo layaae kai |7|She arrived there with her friend. 7.

ਉਠਿ ਕਰਿ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਅਲਿੰਗਨ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
autth kar kuar alingan kiyo |The queen got up and took (the man) in her arms.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਚੁੰਬਨ ਤਿਹ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
bhaat bhaat chunban tih liyo |He kissed her in many ways.
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
kaam kel ruch maan kamaayo |Did the sexual game of your choice.
ਭਾਗਿ ਅਫੀਮ ਸਰਾਬ ਚੜਾਯੋ ॥੮॥
bhaag afeem saraab charraayo |8|Hemp, opium and drank alcohol. 8.
ਜਬ ਮਦ ਕਰਿ ਮਤਵਾਰਾ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
