ਸੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਝਾਰਿ ਤੀਰਿਯੰ ॥
su maar jhaar teeriyan |The warriors filled with ire and moving forward shoot a volley of arrows.
ਸਬਦ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਿਯੰ ॥
sabad sankh bajiyan |The sound of playing the Sankh comes
ਸੁ ਬੀਰ ਧੀਰ ਸਜਿਯੰ ॥੧੮॥
su beer dheer sajiyan |18|The conch is blown and in such a terrible time, the warriors get adorned with patience. 18.

ਤੁਰੀ ਸੰਖ ਬਾਜੇ ॥
turee sankh baaje |Trumpets and trumpets are playing.
ਮਹਾਬੀਰ ਸਾਜੇ ॥
mahaabeer saaje |The trumpet and conch resound and the great warriors look impressive.
ਨਚੇ ਤੁੰਦ ਤਾਜੀ ॥
nache tund taajee |The galloping horses are dancing
ਮਚੇ ਸੂਰ ਗਾਜੀ ॥੧੯॥
mache soor gaajee |19|The swift-running horses dance and the brave warriors are excited.19.
ਝਿਮੀ ਤੇਜ ਤੇਗੰ ॥
jhimee tej tegan |Sharp swords are flashing,
ਮਨੋ ਬਿਜ ਬੇਗੰ ॥
mano bij began |The glistening sharp swords flash like lightning.
ਉਠੈ ਨਦ ਨਾਦੰ ॥
autthai nad naadan |The sound of the river is coming.
ਧੁਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਬਿਖਾਦੰ ॥੨੦॥
dhun nribikhaadan |20|The sound of drums arises and is heard continuously. 20.
ਤੁਟੇ ਖਗ ਖੋਲੰ ॥
tutte khag kholan |(Somewhere) swords and skulls are broken,
ਮੁਖੰ ਮਾਰ ਬੋਲੰ ॥
mukhan maar bolan |Somewhere the double-edged swords and helmets lie broken, somewhere the warriors shout “kill, kill”.
ਧਕਾ ਧੀਕ ਧਕੰ ॥
dhakaa dheek dhakan |There is a threat somewhere.
ਗਿਰੇ ਹਕ ਬਕੰ ॥੨੧॥
gire hak bakan |21|Somewhere the warriors are forcefully knocked about and somewhere, being puzzled, they have fallen down. 21.
ਦਲੰ ਦੀਹ ਗਾਹੰ ॥
dalan deeh gaahan |(Somewhere) large parties are being trampled,
ਅਧੋ ਅੰਗ ਲਾਹੰ ॥
adho ang laahan |The great army is being trampled and limbs are being chopped into halves.
ਪ੍ਰਯੋਘੰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੰ ॥
prayoghan prahaaran |(Somewhere heroes) strike with an iron mace
ਬਕੈ ਮਾਰ ਮਾਰੰ ॥੨੨॥
bakai maar maaran |22|The long steel maces are struck and the shouts of “kill, kill” are raised.22.
ਨਦੀ ਰਕਤ ਪੂਰੰ ॥
nadee rakat pooran |The river is filled with blood,
ਫਿਰੀ ਗੈਣਿ ਹੂਰੰ ॥
firee gain hooran |The stream of blood is full and the houris walk over the sky.
ਗਜੇ ਗੈਣਿ ਕਾਲੀ ॥
gaje gain kaalee |Kali Devi is roaring in the sky
ਹਸੀ ਖਪਰਾਲੀ ॥੨੩॥
hasee khaparaalee |23|The goddess Kali is thundering in the sky and the vamps are laughing.23.
ਮਹਾ ਸੂਰ ਸੋਹੰ ॥
mahaa soor sohan |Great heroes are beautiful,
ਮੰਡੇ ਲੋਹ ਕ੍ਰੋਹੰ ॥
mandde loh krohan |The great warriors equipped with steel and filled with ire look impressive.
ਮਹਾ ਗਰਬ ਗਜਿਯੰ ॥
mahaa garab gajiyan |Bursting with great pride
ਧੁਣੰ ਮੇਘ ਲਜਿਯੰ ॥੨੪॥
dhunan megh lajiyan |24|They roar with great pride and hearing them, the clouds feel shy.24.
ਛਕੇ ਲੋਹ ਛਕੰ ॥
chhake loh chhakan |(Warriors) are adorned with armor
ਮੁਖੰ ਮਾਰ ਬਕੰ ॥
mukhan maar bakan |The warriors are adorned with steel-weapons and shout “kill, kill”.
ਮੁਖੰ ਮੁਛ ਬੰਕੰ ॥
mukhan muchh bankan |(The heroes') faces have curly mustaches
ਭਿਰੇ ਛਾਡ ਸੰਕੰ ॥੨੫॥
bhire chhaadd sankan |25|They have slanting whiskers on their faces and fight without caring for their life. 25.
ਹਕੰ ਹਾਕ ਬਾਜੀ ॥
hakan haak baajee |(Warriors) by hooking the horses (Baji).
ਘਿਰੀ ਸੈਣ ਸਾਜੀ ॥
ghiree sain saajee |There are shouts and the army hath laid the siege.
ਚਿਰੇ ਚਾਰ ਢੂਕੇ ॥
chire chaar dtooke |The chids (warriors) are fitting from all four sides
ਮੁਖੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੂਕੇ ॥੨੬॥
mukhan maar kooke |26|In great anger the warriors rush from all sides shouting “kill, kill”.26.
ਰੁਕੇ ਸੂਰ ਸੰਗੰ ॥
ruke soor sangan |Warriors are stuck with songs,
ਮਨੋ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਗੰਗੰ ॥
mano sindh gangan |The warriors are meeting with their lances like the Ganges with the sea.
ਢਹੇ ਢਾਲ ਢਕੰ ॥
dtahe dtaal dtakan |(Many) are hidden behind shields
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣ ਕੜਕੰ ॥੨੭॥
kripaan karrakan |27|Many of them under cover of their shields even break the striking swards with cracking sound.27.
ਹਕੰ ਹਾਕ ਬਾਜੀ ॥
hakan haak baajee |Horses being challenged or yoked,
ਨਚੇ ਤੁੰਦ ਤਾਜੀ ॥
nache tund taajee |There are shouts after shouts and the swift-running horses dance.
ਰਸੰ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਪਾਗੇ ॥
rasan rudr paage |(Warriors) are dyed in Rauda rasa
ਭਿਰੇ ਰੋਸ ਜਾਗੇ ॥੨੮॥
bhire ros jaage |28|The warriors are highly ferocious and are fighting with the awakening of anger.28.
ਗਿਰੇ ਸੁਧ ਸੇਲੰ ॥
gire sudh selan |(Warriors) have fallen with sharp spears
ਭਈ ਰੇਲ ਪੇਲੰ ॥
bhee rel pelan |The sharp lances have fallen down and there is great knocking.
ਪਲੰਹਾਰ ਨਚੇ ॥
palanhaar nache |Carnivores are dancing
ਰਣੰ ਬੀਰ ਮਚੇ ॥੨੯॥
ranan beer mache |29|The eaters of flesh are dancing and the warriors are engaged in hot war.29.
