ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਰੋਦਨ ਵੈ ਕਰਤੇ ਭਏ ਕਿਸੂ ਨ ਆਈ ਬਾਤ ॥
rodan vai karate bhe kisoo na aaee baat |They (all) began to weep and no one uttered a word.
ਤਬ ਰਾਜੈ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੌ ਬਚਨ ਕਹਾ ਮੁਸਕਾਤ ॥੧੭॥
tab raajai tih naar kau bachan kahaa musakaat |17|Then the king laughingly said (this) thing to that woman. 17.

ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਇਨ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥
karaamaat in kachh na dikhaaee |These people did not show any miracles.
ਅਬ ਚਾਹਤ ਹੈ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥
ab chaahat hai tum te paaee |Now (I) wish, to obtain (ie see) some (miracles) from you.
ਬਚਨ ਹਿੰਗੁਲਾ ਦੇਇ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
bachan hingulaa dee uchaare |(Then) Hingla Devi said that
ਸੁਨੋ ਨਰਾਧਿਪ ਬੈਨ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧੮॥
suno naraadhip bain hamaare |18|O Rajan! Listen to me. 18.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਕਰਾਮਾਤਿ ਇਕ ਅਸਿ ਮੌ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਪਛਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
karaamaat ik as mau pratham pachhaaniyai |First consider a miracle in the sword.
ਜਾ ਕੌ ਤੇਜੁ ਅਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਜਗਤ ਮੌ ਮਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
jaa kau tej ar traas jagat mau maaniyai |Whose speed and fear is considered all over the world.
ਜੀਤ ਹਾਰ ਅਰੁ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਧਾਰ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਬਸਤ ॥
jeet haar ar mrit dhaar jaa kee basat |Victory, defeat and death reside in its edge.
ਹੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੌ ਕਹਤ ॥੧੯॥
ho mere man paramesur taahee kau kahat |19|My mind calls Him God. 19.
ਦੁਤਿਯ ਕਾਲ ਮੌ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਿ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਿਯਤ ॥
dutiy kaal mau karaamaat pahichaaniyat |(In the world) understand other miracles in time
ਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਚੌਦਹ ਲੋਕ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕਰ ਮਾਨਿਯਤ ॥
jin ko chauadah lok chakr kar maaniyat |The cycle of which is considered to run in fourteen people.
ਕਾਲ ਪਾਇ ਜਗ ਹੋਤ ਕਾਲ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਵਈ ॥
kaal paae jag hot kaal mitt jaavee |The world comes into existence by calling and ends by calling.
ਹੋ ਯਾ ਤੇ ਮੁਰ ਮਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਠਹਰਾਵਈ ॥੨੦॥
ho yaa te mur man taeh guroo tthaharaavee |20|That is why my mind considers time as its guru. 20.
ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਸਨਾਗ੍ਰਜ ਜਾਨਿਯਤ ॥

ਭਲੋ ਬਰੋ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਜਗ ਹੋਤ ਪਛਾਨਿਯਤ ॥
bhalo baro jaa te jag hot pachhaaniyat |From which it is possible to have good and bad in the world.
ਕਰਾਮਾਤਿ ਚੌਥੀ ਧਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਜਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
karaamaat chauathee dhan bheetar jaaniyai |The fourth miracle is in money.
ਹੋ ਹੋਤ ਰੰਕ ਤੇ ਰਾਵ ਧਰੋ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਨਿਯੈ ॥੨੧॥
ho hot rank te raav dharo tih maaniyai |21|Because by assuming it, rank becomes king. 21.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਇਨ ਮਹਿ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਨਹੁ ॥
karaamaat in meh neh jaanahu |Do not believe any miracles in these (persons).
ਏ ਸਭ ਧਨ ਉਪਾਇ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਹੁ ॥
e sabh dhan upaae pahichaanahu |Consider all these measures of wealth.
ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਇਨ ਮਹਿ ਜੌ ਹੋਈ ॥
chamatakaar in meh jau hoee |If there was a miracle in them
ਦਰ ਦਰ ਭੀਖ ਨ ਮਾਗੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੨੨॥
dar dar bheekh na maagai koee |22|So no one would ask for alms every now and then. 22.
ਜੌ ਇਨ ਸਭਹੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਸੰਘਾਰੋ ॥
jau in sabhahoon pratham sanghaaro |If you kill them all first,
ਤਿਹ ਪਾਛੇ ਕਛੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
tih paachhe kachh mohi uchaaro |Then tell me something.
ਸਤਿ ਬਾਤ ਹਮ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥
sat baat ham tumeh sunaaee |I have told you the truth.
ਅਬ ਸੁ ਕਰੌ ਜੋ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸੁਹਾਈ ॥੨੩॥
ab su karau jo tumeh suhaaee |23|Now do what you like. 23.
ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਰਖਾਨਾ ॥
bachan sunat raajaa harakhaanaa |The king was very happy after hearing (the woman's) words
ਅਧਿਕ ਦਿਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੇ ਦਾਨਾ ॥
adhik diyo tih triy ke daanaa |And gave a lot of charity to that woman.
ਜਗਤ ਮਾਤ ਤਿਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜੁ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥
jagat maat tin triy ju kahaayo |That woman who called (herself) Mother of the World,
ਤਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਿਜ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਬਚਾਯੋ ॥੨੪॥
tih prasaad nij praan bachaayo |24|By her (mother's) grace, he saved his life. 24.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਤਿਹਤਰਿ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੭੩॥੬੭੬੦॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade teen sau tihatar charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |373|6760|afajoon|Here ends the 373rd charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious.373.6760. goes on

ਬੀਜਾ ਪੁਰ ਜਹ ਸਹਿਰ ਭਨਿਜੈ ॥
beejaa pur jah sahir bhanijai |Where Bijapur city is called,
ਏਦਿਲ ਸਾਹ ਤਹ ਸਾਹ ਕਹਿਜੈ ॥
edil saah tah saah kahijai |The king there was called Edilshah.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਹਤਾਬ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੰਨ੍ਯਾ ॥
sree mahataab matee tih kanayaa |His daughter's name was Mahtab Mati
ਜਿਹ ਸਮ ਉਪਜੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਨ ਅੰਨ੍ਰਯਾ ॥੧॥
jih sam upajee naar na anrayaa |1|Like whom no other woman was born. 1.
ਜੋਬਨਵੰਤ ਭਈ ਜਬ ਬਾਲਾ ॥
jobanavant bhee jab baalaa |When the girl became young,
ਮਹਾ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਨੈਨ ਬਿਸਾਲਾ ॥
mahaa sundaree nain bisaalaa |So she (became) very beautiful with big eyes.
ਜੋਬਨ ਜੇਬ ਅਧਿਕ ਤਿਹ ਬਾਢੀ ॥
joban jeb adhik tih baadtee |Her vigor and beauty so great,
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੂਰ ਮਥਿ ਕਾਢੀ ॥੨॥
jaanuk chandr soor math kaadtee |2|It is as if the sun and the moon have been kneaded. 2.
ਤਹ ਇਕ ਹੁਤੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਕੋ ਪੂਤ ॥
tah ik huto saahu ko poot |There used to be a son of a Shah
ਸੂਰਤਿ ਸੀਰਤਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਪੂਤ ॥
soorat seerat bikhai sapoot |Who seemed to be born in shape and nature.
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਕੇਤੁ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ਭਨਿਜੈ ॥
dhoomr ket tih naam bhanijai |His name was called Dhumra Ketu
ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਪਟਤਰ ਤਿਹ ਦਿਜੈ ॥੩॥
eindr chandr pattatar tih dijai |3|And his similitude was given with Indra and Moon. 3.
