ਇਹੈ ਰੀਤਿ ਸਭ ਜਗਤ ਕੀ ਜਾਨਤ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਕੋਇ ॥੬॥
eihai reet sabh jagat kee jaanat hai sabh koe |6|Enchanted by an old woman And the whole world knows this habitude.(6)
ਤਰੁਨਿ ਪਤਰਿਯਾ ਸੌ ਰਮੈ ਮੋਟੇ ਨਿਕਟ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
tarun patariyaa sau ramai motte nikatt na jaae |The lady always enjoyed making love with the slender person but hesitated to go near the fat one.
ਜੌ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰਮੇ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਪਛੁਤਾਇ ॥੭॥
jau kabahoon taa sau rame man bheetar pachhutaae |7|She always repented after making love with the old one.(7)
ਰਮਤ ਪਤਰਿਯਾ ਸੰਗ ਹੁਤੀ ਆਨਿ ਮੋਟੀਏ ਯਾਰ ॥
ramat patariyaa sang hutee aan mottee yaar |Once when she was passionately involved with the young man,
ਪਾਯਨ ਕੌ ਖਰਕੋ ਕਿਯੋ ਤਵਨਿ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਕੇ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ॥੮॥
paayan kau kharako kiyo tavan tarun ke dvaar |8|The fat lover came back and knocked at the door of the lady.(8)
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਪਤਰੀਏ ਯਾਰ ਕਹ ਜਾਹੁ ਦਿਵਰਿਯਹਿ ਫਾਧਿ ॥
kahiyo pataree yaar kah jaahu divariyeh faadh |She suggested to the young lover to break the door and
ਜਿਨ ਕੋਊ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਇ ਹੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਤੁਹਿ ਲੈਹੈ ਬਾਧਿ ॥੯॥
jin koaoo paapee aae hai muhi tuhi laihai baadh |9|Run as some sinner had come and would tie them both.(9)
ਅਤਿ ਰਤਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਮਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਯਾਰ ਪਤਰਿਯਹਿ ਟਾਰਿ ॥
at rat taa sau maan kai yaar patariyeh ttaar |She had made the thin friend to acquiesce to her request.
ਭਰਭਰਾਇ ਉਠਿ ਠਾਢ ਭੀ ਜਾਨਿ ਮੋਟਿਯੋ ਯਾਰ ॥੧੦॥
bharabharaae utth tthaadt bhee jaan mottiyo yaar |10|And she hastily got up and stood before the old man.(10)
ਉਠਤ ਬੀਰਜ ਭੂ ਪਰ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਲਖ੍ਯੋ ਮੋਟਿਯੇ ਯਾਰ ॥
autthat beeraj bhoo par giriyo lakhayo mottiye yaar |While getting up in haste the drops of semen fell on the floor, which were noticed by the fat-lover,
ਯਾ ਕੋ ਤੁਰਤ ਬਤਾਇਯੈ ਭੇਦ ਰਮੈ ਸੁ ਕੁਮਾਰਿ ॥੧੧॥
yaa ko turat bataaeiyai bhed ramai su kumaar |11|And he asked woman to disclose the mystery.(11)
ਅਧਿਕ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ਰੂਪ ਲਖਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਨ ਰਹੀ ਸੰਭਾਰ ॥
adhik tihaaro roop lakh mohi na rahee sanbhaar |She informed, ‘On the sight of your handsome face, I could not control myself.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਅਨੰਗ ਭੂਅ ਸਕ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਬੀਰਜ ਉਬਾਰ ॥੧੨॥
taa te giriyo anang bhooa sakayo na beeraj ubaar |12|As a result of this, semen (from my body) dripped down.’(12)
ਫੂਲਿ ਗਯੋ ਪਸੁ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨਿ ਨਿਜੁ ਸੁਭ ਮਾਨੈ ਅੰਗ ॥
fool gayo pas baat sun nij subh maanai ang |That fool, with animal instinct, was over exhilarated thinking,
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਛਬਿ ਬਾਲ ਕੋ ਛਿਤ ਪਰ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਅਨੰਗ ॥੧੩॥
mohi nirakh chhab baal ko chhit par giriyo anang |13|‘Seeing me, the lassie became so excited that her semen dripped down on the earth.’ (13)(1)

bhee bhor fir pakar magaayo |The King had put his son in the prison and in the morning he called him back.
ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਰੇ ॥
mantree prabh so bachan uchare |
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਸੁਧਾ ਸ੍ਰਵਨੁ ਜਨੁ ਭਰੇ ॥੧॥
bhoopat sudhaa sravan jan bhare |1|The Minister conversed again and the Raja paid attention.(1)

ਮਹਾਨੰਦ ਮੁਰਦਾਰ ਕੀ ਹੁਤੀ ਬਹੁਰਿਯਾ ਏਕ ॥
mahaanand muradaar kee hutee bahuriyaa ek |A poor man called Mahan Nand had a wife,
ਤਾ ਸੋ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨਤ ਹੁਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਤੁਰਕ ਅਨੇਕ ॥੨॥
taa so rat maanat hute hindoo turak anek |2|With whom numerous Hindus and Muslims used to indulge in making love.(2)
ਮਹਾਨੰਦ ਮੁਰਦਾਰ ਕੀ ਘੁਰਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ॥
mahaanand muradaar kee ghurakee triy ko naam |Mahan Nand’s wife was known as Ghurki (literally scolding),
ਕੋਪ ਸਮੈ ਨਿਜੁ ਨਾਹ ਕੋ ਘੁਰਕਤ ਆਠੋ ਜਾਮ ॥੩॥
kop samai nij naah ko ghurakat aattho jaam |3|She always scolded her husband.(3)
ਏਕ ਚਛ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਰਹੈ ਬਿਰਧਿ ਆਪੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜ੍ਵਾਨ ॥
ek chachh taa ko rahai biradh aap triy jvaan |He was blind of one eye and much older in age than his wife.
ਸੋ ਯਾ ਪਰ ਰੀਝਤ ਨਹੀ ਯਾ ਕੇ ਵਾ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥੪॥
so yaa par reejhat nahee yaa ke vaa meh praan |4|The wife despised him but he felt as if she was his life and soul.(4)
ਕਾਜ ਕਵਨ ਹੂੰ ਕੇ ਨਿਮਿਤਿ ਗਯੋ ਧਾਮ ਕੋ ਧਾਇ ॥
kaaj kavan hoon ke nimit gayo dhaam ko dhaae |As soon as he would go out of the house to work, his wife would get
ਤਰੁਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੋ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤਹ ਰਹੀ ਹੁਤੀ ਲਪਟਾਇ ॥੫॥
tarun purakh so tarun tah rahee hutee lapattaae |5|Entangled with a young man to make love.(5)
ਮਹਾਨੰਦ ਆਵਤ ਸੁਨ੍ਯੋ ਲਯੋ ਗਰੇ ਸੌ ਲਾਇ ॥
mahaanand aavat sunayo layo gare sau laae |When she would notice Mahan Nand coming back, she would
ਅਤਿ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਾਤੈ ਕਰੀ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰਖ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੬॥
at bachitr baatai karee hridai harakh upajaae |6|Ascertain to embrace him and felicitate him with pleasant talks and ravishing action.(6)
ਕਾਨ ਦੋਊ ਗਹਿਰੇ ਗਹੇ ਚੁੰਮਿ ਏਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਲੀਨ ॥
kaan doaoo gahire gahe chunm ek drig leen |She would kiss his both the ears and eyes, and, finding a right moment
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸੌ ਛਲਿ ਕੈ ਜੜਹਿ ਯਾਰ ਬਿਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨ ॥੭॥
eih chhal sau chhal kai jarreh yaar bidaa kar deen |7|With trickery, would bid goodbye to her (hidden) lover.(7)
ਸ੍ਰਵਨਨ ਕਛੁ ਖਰਕੋ ਸੁਨੈ ਇਕ ਚਖੁ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਹੇਰਿ ॥
sravanan kachh kharako sunai ik chakh sakai na her |Mahan Nand’s ears would be alerted with some noise (of the lover
ਪਰੋ ਸਦਾ ਮੋਰੇ ਰਹੈ ਲਹੈ ਨ ਭੇਵ ਅਧੇਰ ॥੮॥
paro sadaa more rahai lahai na bhev adher |8|Leaving) but, being blind of one eye, he would not fathom the mystery.(8)
ਹੇਰਿ ਰੂਪ ਤਵ ਬਸਿ ਭਈ ਮੋ ਮਨ ਬਢ੍ਯੋ ਅਨੰਗ ॥
her roop tav bas bhee mo man badtayo anang |The wife would express to him, ‘I was overwhelmed with your sensuality,
ਚੂੰਮਿ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਲਯੋ ਅਤਿ ਹਿਤ ਚਿਤ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ॥੯॥
choonm netr taa te layo at hit chit ke sang |9|‘And for that I kissed your ears and eyes in passion.’(9)
ਮਹਾਨੰਦ ਇਹ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨਿ ਫੂਲਿ ਗਯੋ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
mahaanand ih baat sun fool gayo man maeh |Hearing this Mahan Nand would get exhilarated,
ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਤਾ ਸੋ ਕਰੀ ਭੇਦ ਪਛਾਨ੍ਯੋ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੧੦॥
adhik preet taa so karee bhed pachhaanayo naeh |10|And without understanding the enigma, would revel in making love.(10)
