ਸਿਵਦੇਈ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰਿ ਬਿਚਛਨ ॥
sivadeee tih naar bichachhan |He had a wise wife named Shiva Dei.
ਰੂਪਵਾਨ ਗੁਨਵਾਨ ਸੁਲਛਨ ॥
roopavaan gunavaan sulachhan |She was graceful, virtuous and had good features.
ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪੁ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਨਾਵਤ ॥
raajaa aap charitr banaavat |The king used to make his own character
ਲਿਖਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪੜਿ ਇਸਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਸੁਨਾਵਤ ॥੨॥
likh likh parr isatriyan sunaavat |2|And he used to write and read to the women. 2.
ਸਿਵਾ ਮਤੀ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਬ ਸੁਨੀ ॥
sivaa matee ih bidh jab sunee |When Shiva Mati heard this
ਅਧਿਕ ਬਿਹਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਮੂੰਡੀ ਧੁਨੀ ॥
adhik bihas kar moonddee dhunee |(Then) laughed a lot and shook his head.
ਅਸ ਕਰਿ ਇਸੈ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਦਿਖਾਊ ॥
as kar isai charitr dikhaaoo |(I) will show this (king) by making such a character
ਯਾਹ ਭਜੋ ਯਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਲਿਖਾਊ ॥੩॥
yaah bhajo yaahee te likhaaoo |3|That after enjoying it, I will write about it. 3.
ਜਿਹ ਤਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਭੂਪਹਿ ਫੁਸਲਾਇ ॥
jih tih bidh bhoopeh fusalaae |Like how by whispering to the king
ਮਿਲਤ ਭਈ ਦਿਨ ਹੀ ਕਹ ਆਇ ॥
milat bhee din hee kah aae |She came and met on the same day.
ਆਨਿ ਗਰੇ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਲਪਟਾਈ ॥
aan gare taa ke lapattaaee |She came and hugged him
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੇਲ ਰਚਾਈ ॥੪॥
bhaat bhaat tin kel rachaaee |4|And played with each other. 4.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਜਦ ਪਤਿਹ ਭਜਾ ॥
bhaat bhaat jad patih bhajaa |(Though) the husband made many kinds of love with her,
ਤਊ ਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਆਸਨ ਤਿਹ ਤਜਾ ॥
taoo na triy aasan tih tajaa |Even so, the woman did not leave her seat.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਰ ਸੋ ਉਰਝਾਨੀ ॥
bhaat bhaat ur so urajhaanee |Clinging to (his) chest in many ways
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਭੂਪ ਕਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਿਕਾਨੀ ॥੫॥
nirakh bhoop kaa roop bikaanee |5|And seeing the form of the king, she sold. 5.
ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਇ ਗਈ ਡੇਰੈ ਜਬ ॥
bhog kamaae gee dderai jab |After feasting (with the king) when he returned (to his) house,
ਸਖਿਯਨ ਸਾਥ ਬਖਾਨੋ ਇਮ ਤਬ ॥
sakhiyan saath bakhaano im tab |Then he spoke to his friends like this.
ਇਹ ਰਾਜੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਆਜੁ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
eih raajai muhi aaj bulaayo |This king called me today
ਦਿਨ ਹੀ ਮੋ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥੬॥
din hee mo sang bhog kamaayo |6|And had intercourse with me during the day itself. 6.
ਸਾਸੁ ਸਸੁਰ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਸੁਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
saas sasur jab hee sun paaee |When the mother-in-law heard
ਔਰ ਸੁਨਤ ਭੀ ਸਗਲ ਲੁਗਾਈ ॥
aauar sunat bhee sagal lugaaee |And all the other women listened
ਆਜੁ ਰਾਜ ਯਾ ਸੋ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
aaj raaj yaa so rat maanee |That today the king has played with it,
ਬੂਝਿ ਗਏ ਸਭ ਲੋਗ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥੭॥
boojh ge sabh log kahaanee |7|So all the people understood the story.7.
ਪੁਨਿ ਸਿਵ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
pun siv de ih bhaat uchaaro |Then Shiva's (deity) spoke thus,
ਮੈ ਦੇਖਤ ਥੀ ਹਿਯਾ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ॥
mai dekhat thee hiyaa tihaaro |I was looking at your liver
ਬਾਤ ਕਹੇ ਮੁਹਿ ਏ ਕ੍ਯਾ ਕਰਿਹੈ ॥
baat kahe muhi e kayaa karihai |What they talk about and what they say to me.
ਚੁਪ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਪ ਕਰਿ ਲਰਿਹੈ ॥੮॥
chup kar hai ki kop kar larihai |8|They keep silent or fight in anger. 8.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਦਿਨ ਕੋ ਐਸੋ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਈ ॥
din ko aaiso ko triy karam kamaavee |What woman is there during the day, who will earn (this) karma.
ਦਿਖਤ ਜਾਰ ਕੋ ਧਾਮ ਨਾਰਿ ਕਿਮਿ ਜਾਵਈ ॥
dikhat jaar ko dhaam naar kim jaavee |Seeing (everyone) how a woman will go to her husband's house.
ਐਸ ਕਾਜ ਕਰਿ ਕਵਨ ਕਹੋ ਕਿਮਿ ਭਾਖਿ ਹੈ ॥
aais kaaj kar kavan kaho kim bhaakh hai |Why would anyone tell anyone by doing such a thing?
ਹੋ ਅਪਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਚਿਤ ਮੋ ਰਾਖਿ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
ho apane chit kee baat chit mo raakh hai |9|She will keep her mind to herself. 9.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਸਭਹਿਨ ਸਚੁ ਆਯੋ ॥
bain sunat sabhahin sach aayo |After hearing the talk, everyone accepted the truth
ਕਿਨੂੰ ਨ ਤਹ ਇਹ ਕਥਹਿ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥
kinoo na tah ih katheh chalaayo |And did not talk to anyone else.
ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਐਸ ਕਰਮ ਕੌ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
jo koee aais karam kau kar hai |If one does such a deed,
ਭੂਲਿ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਪਾਸ ਉਚਿਰ ਹੈ ॥੧੦॥
bhool na kaahoo paas uchir hai |10|So he forgets and does not tell anyone else. 10.
ਲੋਗਨ ਕਹਿ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਡਹਕਾਇ ॥
logan keh ih bidh ddahakaae |People were deceived by saying this
ਪਿਯ ਤਨ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਬਨਾਇ ॥
piy tan patree likhee banaae |And wrote (thus) a letter to Priya.
ਮੋ ਪਰ ਯਾਰ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹ ਕੀਜੇ ॥
mo par yaar anugrah keeje |Oh dear! please me
ਇਹ ਭੀ ਚਰਿਤ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਲਿਖਿ ਲੀਜੇ ॥੧੧॥
eih bhee charit granth likh leeje |11|And also write this character in the book. 11.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਤੀਨ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੪੦੩॥੭੧੩੪॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade chaar sau teen charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |403|7134|afajoon|Here ends the 403rd chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 403.7134. goes on
ਸਬੁਧਿ ਬਾਚ ॥
sabudh baach |Sabudhi said:

chauapee |twenty four:
ਸਤਿ ਸੰਧਿ ਇਕ ਭੂਪ ਭਨਿਜੈ ॥
sat sandh ik bhoop bhanijai |There was a king named Sat Sandhi.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਸਤਿਜੁਗ ਬੀਚ ਕਹਿਜੈ ॥
prathame satijug beech kahijai |(He) was said to have taken place in the first (yuga, i.e.) Satyuga.
ਜਿਹ ਜਸ ਪੁਰੀ ਚੌਦਹੂੰ ਛਾਯੋ ॥
jih jas puree chauadahoon chhaayo |His success was spread among fourteen people.
