ਡਲ ਡੋਲਸ ਸੰਕਤ ਸੇਸ ਥਿਰਾ ॥੪੯੭॥

ddal ddolas sankat ses thiraa |497|

Remembering the war, the Yoginis are hailing and the trembling cowards of the Iron Age also became fearless, the hags are laughing violently and Sheshnaga, getting dubious, is wavering.497.

ਦਿਵ ਦੇਖਤ ਲੇਖਤ ਧਨਿ ਧਨੰ ॥

div dekhat lekhat dhan dhanan |

Seeing the gods, they say blessed.

ਕਿਲਕੰਤ ਕਪਾਲਯਿ ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੰ ॥

kilakant kapaalay kraoor prabhan |

Scary-looking skulls screech.

ਬ੍ਰਿਣ ਬਰਖਤ ਪਰਖਤ ਬੀਰ ਰਣੰ ॥

brin barakhat parakhat beer ranan |

Wounds are being treated by the warriors (and thus the warriors are being tested).

ਹਯ ਘਲਤ ਝਲਤ ਜੋਧ ਜੁਧੰ ॥੪੯੮॥

hay ghalat jhalat jodh judhan |498|

The gods are looking and saying “Bravo, bravo”, and the goddess getting glorious, is shouting, the flowing wounds inflicted by the swords are testing the warriors and the fighters alongwith their horses are enduring the cruelty of war.498.

ਕਿਲਕੰਤ ਕਪਾਲਿਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੜੀ ॥

kilakant kapaalin singh charree |

Goddess Kapalini riding on a lion is screaming,

ਚਮਕੰਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਨਿ ਮੜੀ ॥

chamakant kripaan prabhaan marree |

(In whose hand) the sword shines, (which is) covered with light.

ਗਣਿ ਹੂਰ ਸੁ ਪੂਰਤ ਧੂਰਿ ਰਣੰ ॥

gan hoor su poorat dhoor ranan |

Bands of Hurons lie in the dust of the battlefield.

ਅਵਿਲੋਕਤ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਗਣੰ ॥੪੯੯॥

avilokat dev adev ganan |499|

The goddess Chandi, riding on her lion, is shouting loudly and her glorious sword is gleaming, because of the ganas and heavenly damsels, the battlefield has become filled with dust and all the gods and demons are looking at this war.499.

ਰਣਿ ਭਰਮਤ ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਬੰਧ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ॥

ran bharamat kraoor kabandh prabhaa |

Horrible bodies run across the battlefield

ਅਵਿਲੋਕਤ ਰੀਝਤ ਦੇਵ ਸਭਾ ॥

avilokat reejhat dev sabhaa |

Seeing (whom) the assembly of the gods is enraged.

ਗਣਿ ਹੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਯਾਹਤ ਪੂਰ ਰਣੰ ॥

gan hooran brayaahat poor ranan |

Bands of Huras are performing marriage (ceremonies) in the Rann-Bhoomi.

ਰਥ ਥੰਭਤ ਭਾਨੁ ਬਿਲੋਕ ਭਟੰ ॥੫੦੦॥

rath thanbhat bhaan bilok bhattan |500|

Seeing the radiant headless trunks, roaming in the war-arena, the gods are becoming pleased, the warriors are wedding the heavenly damsels in the battlefield and seeing the warriors, the Sun-god is withholding his chariot.500.

ਢਢਿ ਢੋਲਕ ਝਾਝ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਮੁਖੰ ॥

dtadt dtolak jhaajh mridang mukhan |

Dhad, dholak, cymbal, mridanga, mukhras,

ਡਫ ਤਾਲ ਪਖਾਵਜ ਨਾਇ ਸੁਰੰ ॥

ddaf taal pakhaavaj naae suran |

The tambourine, chaine ('tal') tabla and sarnai,

ਸੁਰ ਸੰਖ ਨਫੀਰੀਯ ਭੇਰਿ ਭਕੰ ॥

sur sankh nafeereey bher bhakan |

Turi, Sankh, Nafiri, Bheri and Bhanka (namely bells are played).

ਉਠਿ ਨਿਰਤਤ ਭੂਤ ਪਰੇਤ ਗਣੰ ॥੫੦੧॥

autth niratat bhoot paret ganan |501|

The ghosts and fiends are dancing to the tune of drums, anklets, tabors, conche, fifes, kettledrums etc.501.

ਦਿਸ ਪਛਮ ਜੀਤਿ ਅਭੀਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪੰ ॥

dis pachham jeet abheet nripan |

has conquered the fearless kings of the western direction.

ਕੁਪਿ ਕੀਨ ਪਯਾਨ ਸੁ ਦਛਣਿਣੰ ॥

kup keen payaan su dachhaninan |

Now, angry, they have moved to the south direction.

ਅਰਿ ਭਜੀਯ ਤਜੀਯ ਦੇਸ ਦਿਸੰ ॥

ar bhajeey tajeey des disan |

The enemies have fled away from the country and direction.

ਰਣ ਗਜੀਅ ਕੇਤਕ ਏਸੁਰਿਣੰ ॥੫੦੨॥

ran gajeea ketak esurinan |502|

Conquering the fearless kings of the West, in anger, kalki marched forward towards the Souh, the enemies, leaving their countries, ran away and the warriors thundered in the battlefield.502.
