ਸਭ ਜਲ ਜੀਵਨਿ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਆਸ੍ਰੈ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

sabh jal jeevan naam lai aasrai bahur bakhaan |

Name all the aquatic animals and then say the word 'asrai' (oat).

ਸੁਤ ਧਰ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਨ ਸਭ ਜਾਨ ॥੯੯॥

sut dhar bahur bakhaaneeai naam baan sabh jaan |99|

Naming the fish remaining alive in water, then adding the word “Aashraya” with them and then saying the word “Shatdhar”, the names of Baan continue to be described.99.

ਧਰੀ ਨਗਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਧਰ ਸੁਤ ਪੁਨਿ ਪਦ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

dharee nagan ke naam keh dhar sut pun pad dehu |

Say the names Dhari' (mountain with ridges) and 'Nag' and say the words 'Dhar' and 'Sut'.

ਪੁਨਿ ਧਰ ਸਬਦ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਨ ਲਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੧੦੦॥

pun dhar sabad bakhaaneeai naam baan lakh lehu |100|

Naming the Nagas (serpents) found on the earth, and adding the word “Dharshat” and then saying the word “Dhar”, the names of Baan are known.100.

ਬਾਸਵ ਕਹਿ ਅਰਿ ਉਚਰੀਐ ਧਰ ਸੁਤ ਧਰ ਪੁਨਿ ਭਾਖੁ ॥

baasav keh ar uchareeai dhar sut dhar pun bhaakh |

Say 'Basava' (Indra's) enemy and then recite 'Dhar Sut Dhar'

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਜਾਨ ਜੀਅ ਮੈ ਰਾਖੁ ॥੧੦੧॥

naam sakal sree baan ke jaan jeea mai raakh |101|

Uttering the word “Ari” after the word “Indra” and then adding the word " Shatdhar",all the names of Baan are comprehended in mind. 101.

ਪੁਹਪ ਧਨੁਖ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਆਯੁਧ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰ ॥

puhap dhanukh ke naam keh aayudh bahur uchaar |

Chanting the name of Puhapa Dhanukh' (Flower-bowed Cupid) then chant the 'Ayudha' (weapon) pada.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲੈ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੧੦੨॥

naam sakal sree baan ke nikasat chalai apaar |102|

Speaking the names of Pushpdhanva and Kaamdev and then uttering the word “Aayudh”, the names of Baan continue to be evolved.102.

ਸਕਲ ਮੀਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਕੇਤੁਵਾਯੁਧ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤ ॥

sakal meen ke naam keh ketuvaayudh keh ant |

By saying all the names of Meen' (fish) (then) finally by saying the pada 'Ketuvayudha',

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੧੦੩॥

naam sakal sree baan ke nikasat jaeh anant |103|

Uttering all the names of fish and adding the word “Ketwayudh” at the enc, the innumerable names of Baan continue to be evolved.103.

ਪੁਹਪ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਧਨੁਖ ਕਹਿ ਧਰ ਆਯੁਧਹਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

puhap aad keh dhanukh keh dhar aayudheh bakhaan |

First say 'puhap' (flower) then 'dhanukh' and then say 'dhar' and 'ayudh' (weapon).

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਜਾਤ ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ॥੧੦੪॥

naam sakal sree baan ke nikasat jaat apramaan |104|

If the weapons are described after uttering the word "Pushp" and then adding the word "Dhanush", then ahe nmaes of Baan continue to be evolved.104.

ਆਦਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਰ ਕਹਿ ਪਨਚ ਕਹਿ ਧਰ ਧਰ ਸਬਦ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

aad bhramar keh panach keh dhar dhar sabad bakhaan |

First by saying 'Bhramar' (Bhora) then 'Panch' (Chila), then chant the word 'Dhar' twice.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਗੁਨਨ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥੧੦੫॥

naam sakal sree baan ke jaanahu gunan nidhaan |105|

Saying the word “Bhramar” in the beginning, then adding the word “Panch” and then saying the word “Dhardhar”, all the names of Baan are known by the wise people.105.

ਸਭ ਭਲਕਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਧਰ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

sabh bhalakan ke naam keh aad ant dhar dehu |

First say all the names of 'Bhalak' (arrow head) (then) put 'Dhar' (word) at the end.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਚੀਨ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੧੦੬॥

naam sakal sree baan ke cheen chatur chit lehu |106|

Uttering the names of all the small lances and adding the word “Dhar” at the end, the wise people recognize in their mind the names of Baan.106.

jih dhar pritham bakhaan tih sut bahur bakhaaneeai |

First say the word 'jih dhar' (the bow holding the quill), then recite the word 'sut'.

ਸਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਪਾਰ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥੧੦੭॥

sar ke naam apaar chatur chit mai jaaneeai |107|

Whosoever described the earth in the beginning, many names of Baan continue to be evolved, when her sons are brought under description.107.

ਬਿਸ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਰਿ ਕੈ ਬਿਖ ਪਦ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

bis ke naam uchar kai bikh pad bahur bakhaan |

Pronounce (all) the names of Bis' (Vish, Poison), followed by the letter 'Kh'.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਹੀ ਬਾਣ ਕੇ ਲੀਜੋ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੧੦੮॥

naam sakal hee baan ke leejo chatur pachhaan |108|

Uttering the names of “Vish” (poison) and then adding the word “Vish” again, all the names of Baan are recognized.108.

ਬਾ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਪੁਨਿ ਨਕਾਰ ਪਦ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

baa pad pritham bakhaan kai pun nakaar pad dehu |

Pronounce the 'b' word first, then add the 'n' word.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਜਾਨ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੧੦੯॥

naam sakal sree baan ke jaan chatur chit lehu |109|

Speaking the syllable “B” in the beginning and then adding the syllable “N”, the wise people comprehend the names of Baan.109.

ਕਾਨੀ ਨਾਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਧਰ ਪਦ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

kaanee naam bakhaan kai dhar pad bahur bakhaan |

(First) recite the name 'Kani', then recite the word 'Dhar'.

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਮਝੋ ਚਤੁਰ ਤੁਮ ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਏ ਬਾਨ ॥੧੧੦॥

hiradai samajho chatur tum sakal naam e baan |110|

Speaking the word “Kani” and then saying saving the word “Dhar”, the wise people comprehend the names of Baan in their mind.110.

ਫੋਕ ਸਬਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਉਚਰਿ ਧਰ ਪਦ ਬਹੁਰੌ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

fok sabad prithamai uchar dhar pad bahurau dehu |

First pronounce the word 'folk', then add the word 'dhar'.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਲਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੧੧੧॥

naam sakal sree baan ke chatur hridai lakh lehu |111|

Uttering the word “Phok” in the beginning and then adding the word “Dhar”, all the names of Baan can be comprehended in mind.111.

ਪਸੁਪਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਅਸ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

pasupat pratham bakhaan kai asr sabad pun dehu |

First by chanting the 'Pasupati' (Shiva) (word), then add the word 'Asra' (sung).

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਚਿਤਿ ਚਤੁਰ ਲਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੧੧੨॥

naam sakal sree baan ke chit chatur lakh lehu |112|

Saying the word “Pashupati” primarily and then adding the word “Asur”, the wise people comprehend all the names of Baan in their mind.112.

ਸਹਸ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਵ ਕੇ ਉਚਰਿ ਅਸ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

sahas naam siv ke uchar asr sabad pun dehu |

Chant thousands of Shiva's names, then add the word 'asra'.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚੀਨ ਚਿਤਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੧੧੩॥

naam sakal sree baan ke chatur cheen chit lehu |113|

Uttering one thousand names of Shiva and then speaking the word “Asur” all the names of Baan are known.113.

ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਕਰਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਪੁਨਿ ਅਰਿ ਸਬਦ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

pritham karan ke naam keh pun ar sabad bakhaan |

First by saying the name of 'Karana' (the famous hero of Mahabharata born from the womb of Kunti by the Sun), then say the word 'Ari' (enemy).

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਲੀਜੋ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੧੧੪॥

naam sakal sree baan ke leejo chatur pachhaan |114|

Saying primarily all the names of “Karan” and then adding “Ari” all the names of “Karan” and then adding “Ari” all the names of Baan are recognized.114.

ਭਾਨਜਾਤ ਕਰਨਾਤ ਕਰਿ ਐਸੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

bhaanajaat karanaat kar aaisee bhaat bakhaan |

(First) 'Bhanjanat' (end of son of the sun) 'Karnant' (end of Karan) (say the verse and then) recite 'Kari' (word) in this manner.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਲੀਜੀਅਹ ਜਾਨ ॥੧੧੫॥

naam sakal sree baan ke chatur leejeeah jaan |115|

Uttering the destroyer of Karan, the son of sun, all the names of Baan are known.115.

ਸਭ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਆਯੁਧ ਸਬਦ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

sabh arajun ke naam keh aayudh sabad bakhaan |

Say all the names of Arjan and then say the word 'ayudh' (weapon).

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੧੧੬॥

naam sakal sree baan ke leejahu chatur pachhaan |116|

(These) all names will become arrows. Recognize (all) clever (persons!) 116.

ਜਿਸਨ ਧਨੰਜੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਭਨਿ ਸ੍ਵੇਤਵਾਹ ਲੈ ਨਾਇ ॥

jisan dhananjai krisan bhan svetavaah lai naae |

Named Jisan' (Arjan) 'Dhanjay' (Arjan) 'Krishna' (Arjan) and 'Svetvaha' (Arjan)

ਆਯੁਧ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਅਹੁ ਸਬੈ ਬਾਨ ਹੁਇ ਜਾਇ ॥੧੧੭॥

aayudh bahur bakhaaneeahu sabai baan hue jaae |117|

Uttering all the names of Arjun and then adding the word “Aayudh”, all the names all the word mean “Baan”.117.

ਅਰਜੁਨ ਪਾਰਥ ਕੇਸਗੁੜ ਸਾਚੀ ਸਬਯ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

arajun paarath kesagurr saachee sabay bakhaan |

Arjan, Parth, Kesgur (the vanquisher of Gudakes-Nindra) saying 'Sachi Sabya' (Saby Saachi, the left-handed archer, Arjan)

ਆਯੁਧ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਜਾਨ ॥੧੧੮॥

aayudh bahur bakhaaneeai naam baan ke jaan |118|

Uttering the words “Arjun, Parath, Kesgur, Sanchi etc. and then adding the word “Aayudh”, the names of Baan are known.118.

ਬਿਜੈ ਕਪੀਧੁਜ ਜੈਦ੍ਰਥਰਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਜਾਰਿ ਫੁਨਿ ਭਾਖੁ ॥

bijai kapeedhuj jaidrathar sooraj jaar fun bhaakh |

By saying Bijay, Kapidhuj, Jayadrathari (Arjan, enemy of Jayadratha) Suraj Jari (enemy of son of Sun) (etc. words)

ਆਯੁਧ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਨ ਲਖਿ ਰਾਖੁ ॥੧੧੯॥

aayudh bahur bakhaaneeai naam baan lakh raakh |119|

Uttering the worlds “Kapidhvaj, Jaidrathari, Surya, Jari” and then adding the word “Aayudh”, the names of Baan are known.119.

ਤਿਮਰਰਿ ਬਲ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਨਿਸਚ ਹਾ ਕਹਿ ਸੁਤ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰ ॥

timarar bal brat nisach haa keh sut bahur uchaar |

Say Timarri' (Indra) and then add the word 'Ha' after Bal, Brat, Nisch (Nischar) (taking the names of other demons) and then add the word 'Sut'.

ਆਯੁਧ ਉਚਰਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੧੨੦॥

aayudh uchar sree baan ke nikaseh naam apaar |120|

After saying the words “Timiraari, Bal Vrat, Nishichar-Naashak”, and then adding the word “Shat” and afterwards adding “Aayudh”, many names of Baan continue to be evolved.120.
