ਊਚ ਧਰਾਧਰ ਊਪਰ ਤੇ ਗਿਰਿਓ ਕਾਕ ਕਰਾਲ ਭੁਜੰਗਮ ਖਾਇਓ ॥੧੯੭॥
aooch dharaadhar aoopar te girio kaak karaal bhujangam khaaeio |197|It seemed that a crow eaten by a dreadful snake hath fallen on the earth from the lofty mountain.197.,
ਬੀਰ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਕੋ ਦੈਤ ਬਲੀ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਗਇਓ ਰਨਿ ਸਾਮੁਹਿ ॥
beer nisunbh ko dait balee ik prer turang geio ran saamuhi |One powerful demon-warrior of Nisumbh, speeding his horse, went in front of the battlefield.,
ਦੇਖਤ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਾਹਿ ਰਹੈ ਅਬਿ ਕੋ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ॥

ਚੰਡਿ ਲੈ ਪਾਨਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਹਨੇ ਅਰਿ ਫੇਰਿ ਦਈ ਸਿਰ ਦਾਨਵ ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ॥

ਮੁੰਡਹਿ ਤੁੰਡਹਿ ਰੁੰਡਹਿ ਚੀਰਿ ਪਲਾਨ ਕਿਕਾਨ ਧਸੀ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਮਹਿ ॥੧੯੮॥

ਇਉ ਜਬ ਦੈਤ ਹਤਿਓ ਬਰ ਚੰਡਿ ਸੁ ਅਉਰ ਚਲਿਓ ਰਨ ਮਧਿ ਪਚਾਰੇ ॥

ਪੇਖਿ ਚਮੂੰ ਬਹੁ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੀ ਪੁਨਿ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਆਪਨੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਰੇ ॥

ਕੋਪ ਦਈਅ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਕੇ ਸੀਸਿ ਬਹੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਤ ਰਹੀ ਤਰਵਾ ਤਰਿ ॥
