ਕੈ ਇਹ ਆਜੁ ਬੋਲਿ ਰਤਿ ਕਰਿਯੈ ॥
kai ih aaj bol rat kariyai |Or call it today and make a joke
ਕੈ ਉਰ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਮਰਿਯੈ ॥੫॥
kai ur maar kattaaree mariyai |5|Or die with a dagger in the heart. 5.
ਲਹਿ ਸਹਚਰਿ ਇਕ ਹਿਤੂ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
leh sahachar ik hitoo bulaaee |He called (his) a useful friend
ਚਿਤ ਕੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਮਝਾਈ ॥
chit kee brithaa taeh samajhaaee |And explained to him the situation of Chit.
ਮੇਰੀ ਕਹੀ ਮੀਤ ਸੌ ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ॥
meree kahee meet sau kahiyahu |(And said) Tell my friend what I said
ਜੋ ਮੁਰਿ ਆਸ ਜਿਯਨ ਕੀ ਚਹਿਯਹੁ ॥੬॥
jo mur aas jiyan kee chahiyahu |6|If (you) want the hope of my living. 6.

ਸੁਨਿ ਆਤੁਰ ਬਚ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕੇ ਸਖੀ ਗਈ ਤਹ ਧਾਇ ॥
sun aatur bach kuar ke sakhee gee tah dhaae |Hearing the eager words of the queen, Sakhi rushed there
ਤਾਹਿ ਭਲੇ ਸਮੁਝਾਇ ਕੈ ਇਹ ਉਹਿ ਦਯੋ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੭॥
taeh bhale samujhaae kai ih uhi dayo milaae |7|And after explaining him (Kunwar) well, he got him married to the queen.7.

ਮਨ ਭਾਵੰਤਾ ਮੀਤੁ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਜਬ ਪਾਇਯੋ ॥

ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਦੋਊ ਜਾਹਿ ਤਰੁਨ ਮੁਸਕਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
lapatt lapatt doaoo jaeh tarun musakaae kai |Both young people were hugging each other while laughing
ਹੋ ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਕੀ ਰੀਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਉਪਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੮॥
ho kaam kel kee reet preet upajaae kai |8|And they were expressing their love with the ritual of Kama-Kreeda. 8.
ਤਬ ਲੌ ਰਾਜਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਰਾਨੀ ਕੇ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
tab lau raajaa grih raanee ke aaeiyo |By then the king came to the queen's house.
ਆਦਰ ਅਧਿਕ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਦਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਇਯੋ ॥
aadar adhik kuar kar madaraa prayaaeiyo |Rani gave him wine with great respect.
ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਮਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਖਾਟ ਪਰ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
giriyo mat hvai nripat khaatt par jaae kai |The king got drunk and fell on the bed.
ਹੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਤੁਰਤਹਿ ਲਿਯ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜਾਰ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੯॥
ho tab hee turateh liy triy jaar bulaae kai |9|Then immediately the queen called her friend. 9.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀ ਛਤਿਯਾ ਊਪਰ ਅਪਨੀ ਪੀਠਿ ਧਰਿ ॥
nrip kee chhatiyaa aoopar apanee peetth dhar |Resting his back on the king's chest
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਕਿਯ ਨਿਜੁ ਮੀਤੁ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥
kaam kel drirr kiy nij meet bulaae kar |And called his friend and played well.
ਮਦਰਾ ਕੇ ਮਦ ਛਕੇ ਨ ਕਛੁ ਰਾਜੇ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥
madaraa ke mad chhake na kachh raaje lahiyo |Due to the intoxication of alcohol, the king did not understand anything
ਹੋ ਲੇਤ ਪਸ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਭਯੋ ਨ ਕਛੁ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥੧੦॥

ਮੂੜ ਰਾਵ ਕਛੁ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਸਕਿਯੋ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
moorr raav kachh bhed na sakiyo paae kai |The foolish king could not understand anything.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਛੈਲੀ ਛੈਲ ਸੁ ਛਲਿ ਪਤਿ ਕੌ ਗਈ ॥
eih chhal chhailee chhail su chhal pat kau gee |With this trick Chhail and Chhaili (woman) tricked the husband.
ਹੋ ਸੁ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਇਹ ਕਥਾ ਤਬੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ॥੧੧॥
ho su kab sayaam ih kathaa tabai pooran bhee |11|Poet Shyam says, this story was completed only then. 11.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਸਤਾਈਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੨੭॥੪੩੧੩॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau sataaeevo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |227|4313|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 227th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 227.4313. goes on

beeraj sain jaa ko jag kahee |People called him Birj Sen.
ਬੀਰਜ ਮਤੀ ਤਵਨ ਬਰ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
beeraj matee tavan bar naaree |Birj Mati was his beautiful wife.
ਜਾਨਕ ਰਾਮਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
jaanak raamachandr kee payaaree |1|(It appears) as if Ramachandra's beloved (Sita) is. 1.
ਅਧਿਕ ਕੁਅਰ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
adhik kuar ko roop biraajai |Kunwar had a very beautiful form
ਰਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਰਤਿ ਕੀ ਛਬਿ ਲਾਜੈ ॥
rat pat kee rat kee chhab laajai |(Seeing) the beauty of Kama Dev's wife Rati was also embarrassing.
ਜੋ ਅਬਲਾ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਲਖਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
jo abalaa taa ko lakh jaaee |The woman who saw him
ਲਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਤਜਿ ਰਹਤ ਬਿਕਾਈ ॥੨॥
laaj saaj taj rahat bikaaee |2|Then she would have abandoned the lodge etiquette and remained bought. 2.

ਨਿਰਖਿ ਮਦਨ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਰਹੈ ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਚਲਤ ਸਿਰ ਝਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
nirakh madan jaa ko rahai nayaae chalat sir jhaar |3|Seeing him, Kam Dev used to walk with his head down. 3.

ਏਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਵਹੁ ਰਾਇ ਅਖੇਟ ਸਿਧਾਇਯੋ ॥

ਊਚ ਧੌਲਹਰ ਠਾਢਿ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਇਯੋ ॥
aooch dhaualahar tthaadt kuar lakh paaeiyo |Kumari saw (him) climbing the high palace.
ਤਰੁਨਿ ਸਾਹੁ ਕੀ ਸੁਤਾ ਰਹੀ ਉਰਝਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
tarun saahu kee sutaa rahee urajhaae kai |The Shah's young daughter became entangled (i.e. enthralled) by (seeing him).
ਹੋ ਹੇਰਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਸੁ ਗਈ ਬਿਕਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੪॥
ho her nripat kee prabhaa su gee bikaae kai |4|Seeing the beauty of the king, she was sold. 4.

ਤਹੀ ਠਾਢਿ ਇਕ ਚਰਿਤ ਬਨਾਇਸਿ ॥

ਡੋਰਿ ਬਡੀ ਕੀ ਗੁਡੀ ਚੜਾਇਸਿ ॥
ddor baddee kee guddee charraaeis |And presented a doll with a long string.
ਤਾ ਮੈ ਇਹੈ ਸੰਦੇਸ ਪਠਾਵਾ ॥
