ਜੌ ਤਿਹ ਦੈ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਮੁਹਿ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੀ ॥
jau tih dai milaae muhi payaaree |Oh dear! If you let me meet him,
ਤੌ ਜਾਨੌ ਤੂ ਹਿਤੂ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੬॥
tau jaanau too hitoo hamaaree |6|Then (I) will know that you are my hitu. 6.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਸਹਚਰਿ ਸੌ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
kahiyo kuar sahachar sau jaanaa |(What) Raj Kumari said, Sakhi understood.
ਭੇਦ ਨ ਦੂਸਰ ਕਾਨ ਬਖਾਨਾ ॥
bhed na doosar kaan bakhaanaa |But did not tell this secret to anyone else.
ਤਤਛਿਨ ਦੌਰ ਤਵਨ ਪਹਿ ਗਈ ॥
tatachhin dauar tavan peh gee |(That maid) immediately ran to him (the person).
ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧਤ ਭਈ ॥੭॥
bahu bidh taeh prabodhat bhee |7|And he had to explain in many ways.7.
ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧ ਜਤਾਈ ॥
bahu bidh taeh prabodh jataaee |(The maid) explained to him in many ways
ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਤ੍ਯੋਂ ਤਾਹਿ ਤਹਾ ਲੈ ਆਈ ॥
jayon tayon taeh tahaa lai aaee |And how did he get there?
ਮਾਰਗ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਬਿਲੋਕ ਜਹਾ ॥
maarag kuar bilok jahaa |Where Raja Kumari (her) wat was burning,
ਲੈ ਪਹੁਚੀ ਮਿਤਵਾ ਕਹ ਤਹਾ ॥੮॥
lai pahuchee mitavaa kah tahaa |8|(The maid) came there with Mitra. 8.
ਲਖਿ ਤਿਹ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਿਤ ਭਈ ॥
lakh tih kuar prafulit bhee |Seeing him, Raj Kumari blossomed.
ਜਨੁਕ ਰਾਕ ਨਵੋ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਈ ॥
januk raak navo nidh pee |As if (a) rank had obtained nine treasures.
ਬਿਹਸਿ ਬਿਹਸਿ ਤਿਹ ਕੰਠ ਲਗਾਯੋ ॥
bihas bihas tih kantth lagaayo |He (Raj Kumari) hugged him with a smile
ਮਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਕੋ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥੯॥
man maanat ko bhog kamaayo |9|And agreed (with him) willingly. 9.
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਦੂਰ ਦਰਿਦ੍ਰ ਦਿਯਾ ਕਰਿ ॥
taa ko door daridr diyaa kar |(Raj Kumari) removed her (maid) poverty
ਸੀਸ ਰਹੀ ਧਰ ਸਖੀ ਪਗਨ ਪਰ ॥
sees rahee dhar sakhee pagan par |And sat on Sakhi's feet
ਤਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਮੈ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥
tavaprasaad mai mitreh lahiyo |(And began to say) It is by your grace that I have obtained a friend.
ਕਹਾ ਕਹੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥੧੦॥
kahaa kaho tuhi jaat na kahiyo |10|What should I say to you? Nothing is said. 10.
ਅਬ ਕਛੁ ਐਸ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਨੈਯੇ ॥
ab kachh aais charitr banaiye |Now it should look something like this,
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਹ ਪੈਯੇ ॥
jaa te sadaa mitr kah paiye |By which friend may be obtained forever.
ਸੋਵੌ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਤਾ ਕੌ ॥
sovau sadaa sang lai taa kau |Take him with me forever,
ਚੀਨਿ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਊ ਨਹਿ ਵਾ ਕੌ ॥੧੧॥
cheen sakai koaoo neh vaa kau |11|But no one else could know him. 11.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਸ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਚਾਰੇ ॥
triy charitr as chit bichaare |(That) woman contemplated such a character in her mind.
ਸੁ ਮੈ ਕਹਤ ਹੋ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੇ ॥
su mai kahat ho sunahu payaare |That I say, O dear (Rajan)! listen
ਤਾਹਿ ਛਪਾਇ ਸਦਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਖਾ ॥
taeh chhapaae sadan meh raakhaa |He hid it at home
ਰਾਨੀ ਸੌ ਐਸੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਾਖਾ ॥੧੨॥
raanee sau aaisee bidh bhaakhaa |12|And said thus to the queen. 12.
ਰਾਨੀ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਰਾਹਾ ॥
raanee jo tum purakh saraahaa |O Rani (Mother)! The man you admired.
ਤਾ ਕਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਿਸੁਨਾਥਨ ਚਾਹਾ ॥
taa kah sree bisunaathan chaahaa |He has been desired by Vidhata (means has become dear to God).
ਵਾ ਕੋ ਕਾਲਿ ਕਾਲ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਯੋ ॥
vaa ko kaal kaal hvai gayo |He died yesterday.
ਯਾ ਸਖਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਲਯੋ ॥੧੩॥
yaa sakh ke mukh te sun layo |13|Hear this (this matter) from the mouth of the sage. 13.
ਹਮ ਸਭਹਿਨ ਜੋ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਰਾਹਾ ॥
ham sabhahin jo taeh saraahaa |All of us who admired him,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਸੁਨਾਥਨ ਚਾਹਾ ॥
taa te tis bisunaathan chaahaa |That is why Vidhata has liked him.
ਜਨਿਯਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਕੀ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
janiyat drisatt triyan kee laagee |It seems that he has got the eye of women.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੈ ਭਾਗੀ ॥੧੪॥
taa te taeh mrit lai bhaagee |14|That is why she has run away with her dead. 14.
ਰਾਨੀ ਸੋਕ ਤਵਨ ਕੋ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
raanee sok tavan ko kiyo |The queen mourned him greatly
ਤਾ ਦਿਨ ਅੰਨ ਨ ਪਾਨੀ ਪਿਯੋ ॥
taa din an na paanee piyo |And from that day neither ate food nor drank water.
ਸਾਚ ਮਰਿਯੋ ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ਜਿਯ ਤਾ ਕੌ ॥
saach mariyo jaanayo jiy taa kau |Considered him truly dead.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ਯਾ ਕੌ ॥੧੫॥
bhed abhed na paayo yaa kau |15|But he did not understand his secret. 15.
ਜਸ ਤੁਮ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਯਾਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
jas tum sundar yaeh nihaariyo |As beautiful as you saw her,
ਭਯੌ ਨ ਹੈ ਹ੍ਵੈਹੈ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
bhayau na hai hvaihai na bichaariyo |No one (like him) was, is, nor will be, can be considered.
ਯਾ ਕੀ ਬਹਿਨਿ ਏਕ ਤਿਹ ਘਰ ਮੈ ॥
yaa kee bahin ek tih ghar mai |One of his sisters was at home.
ਛਾਡਿ ਅਯੋ ਜਿਹ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਨਗਰ ਮੈ ॥੧੬॥
chhaadd ayo jih bhraat nagar mai |16|Who was left in the city after his brother. 16.
ਮੁਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਕਹੋ ਤੁ ਤਹ ਮੈ ਜਾਊ ॥
muhi tum kaho tu tah mai jaaoo |Oh queen! If you tell me, I will go there
ਵਾ ਕੀ ਖੋਜਿ ਬਹਿਨਿ ਮੈ ਲਯਾਊ ॥
vaa kee khoj bahin mai layaaoo |And find his sister.
ਸੋ ਅਤਿ ਚਤੁਰਿ ਸਭਨ ਗੁਨ ਆਗਰਿ ॥
so at chatur sabhan gun aagar |She is very wise and eats all virtues.
ਆਣਿ ਦਿਖਾਊ ਤੁਹਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨਾਗਰਿ ॥੧੭॥
aan dikhaaoo tuhi nrip naagar |17|I bring it and show it to you and the clever king. 17.
ਭਲੀ ਭਲੀ ਸਭ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥
bhalee bhalee sabh triy bakhaanee |The woman said, "All right, all right."
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਗਤਿ ਕਿਨੂੰ ਨ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
bhed abhed gat kinoo na jaanee |But no one understood the situation of separation.
