ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਮਾਲਾ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਾਨ ਨਾਮ ਤ੍ਰਿਤੀਯ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸੁਤ ॥੩॥
eit sree naam maalaa puraane sree baan naam triteey dhiaae samaapatam sat subham sut |3|End of the third chapter entitled “Shri Baan” in Shastar Nam Mala Puran.

ਬੀਰ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਤਹੀ ਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਧਰ ਬਰੁਣਾਯੁਧ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤ ॥
beer grasitahee greev dhar barunaayudh keh ant |Say 'Bir Grasithi', 'Grivadhar' and 'Brunayudh' at the end.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲੈ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੨੫੩॥
sakal naam sree paas ke nikasat chalai anant |253|By uttering the words “Veer-Grast, Griendhar and Varunaayudh”, all the names of Paash continue to be evolved.253.
ਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਤਨਿ ਭਵ ਧਰਾ ਜਲਧ ਰਾਜ ਹਥੀਆਰ ॥
greev grasitan bhav dharaa jaladh raaj hatheeaar |Grive is the weapon of Grasitni', 'Bhav Dhara' and 'Jaldha Raj'.
ਪਰੌ ਦੁਸਟ ਕੇ ਕੰਠ ਮੈ ਮੋਕਹੁ ਲੇਹੁ ਉਬਾਰ ॥੨੫੪॥
parau dusatt ke kantth mai mokahu lehu ubaar |254|O creator of fear for the neck, the giver of fear to the earth, the weapon of the ocean! Strike on the throats of the tyrants and redeem me.254.
ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਨਦਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਏਸ ਏਸ ਪਦ ਭਾਖਿ ॥
pritham nadan ke naam lai es es pad bhaakh |First take the names of the rivers, then say the 'AS' position of all of them.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਉਚਰਿ ਸਭ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਚੀਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਰਾਖੁ ॥੨੫੫॥
sasatr uchar sabh paas ke naam cheen chit raakh |255|Naming primarily all the streams and then uttering the word “Ish” and afterwards the word “Shastar”, all the names of Paash are known in the mind.255.
ਗੰਗਾ ਏਸ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਈਸ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ॥
gangaa es bakhaan kai ees sasatr keh ant |Say 'Ganga Es' (word) first, then say 'Es Sastra' at the end.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲੈ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੨੫੬॥
sakal naam sree paas ke nikasat chalai anant |256|Adding the word “Shastar” with the word “Gangesh”, all the names of Paash continue to evolved.256.
ਜਟਜ ਜਾਨਵੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਹਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਈਸ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥
jattaj jaanavee kritahaa gangaa ees bakhaan |(First) say the words 'jataj' (Ganga born from Jata) Janvi (Ganga) Kritha (sin-destroyer, Ganga) then recite 'Ganga Is'.
ਆਯੁਧ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਜਾਨ ॥੨੫੭॥
aayudh ant bakhaaneeai naam paas ke jaan |257|After uttering the words “Jataj, Jahnavi and Ganga”, then adding the word “Ish” and afterwards saying the word “Aayudh”, the names fo Paash are described.257.
ਸਕਲ ਅਘਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਹਾ ਆਯੁਧ ਸੁ ਬਖਾਨ ॥
sakal aghan ke naam lai haa aayudh su bakhaan |Taking the names of all the sins, (then) recite the words 'ha' and 'ayudha'.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨ ॥੨੫੮॥
sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |258|Naming all the sins and then uttering the word “Ha”, the wise people comprehend all the names of Paash in their mind.258.
ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਰਿਪੁ ਪਤਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨ ॥
kilabikh paap bakhaan kai rip pat sasatr bakhaan |Saying first 'Kilvikh' or 'Paap', (then) recite 'Ripu Pati Sastra'.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੨੫੯॥
sakal naam sree paas ke leejahu chatur pachhaan |259|After narrating all the sins and then uttering the words “Ripu Pati Shastar”, O wise people! recognize all the names of Paash.259.
ਅਧਰਮ ਪਾਪ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਸਨੀਸ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਖਿ ॥
adharam paap bakhaan kai naasanees asatr bhaakh |First saying 'Adharm' or 'Sin' (then) recite 'Nasnis Astra'.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚੀਨ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਰਾਖਿ ॥੨੬੦॥
sakal naam sree paas ke cheen chatur chit raakh |260|Describing “Adharma and Paap” and adding the words “Naash Shatru”, all the names of Paash are known in the mind.260.
ਸਕਲ ਜਟਨਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਪਤਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨਿ ॥
sakal jattan ko naam lai jaa pat asatr bakhaan |First by taking the name of Jatani (Ganga), then recite the words 'Ja Pati' and 'Astra'.
ਅਮਿਤ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੨੬੧॥
amit naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |261|Naming all the matted locks (jataaon) and then uttering the words “Ja, Pati and Astar”, innumerable names of Paash are known.261.
ਤਉਸਾਰਾ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਭੇਦਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਬਖਾਨ ॥
tausaaraa satru bakhaan kai bhedak granth bakhaan |Saying 'Tausara Satru' (Enemy of Tusara), then recite 'Bhedak Granth'.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਭਾਖੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ॥੨੬੨॥
sasatr sabad pun bhaakheeai naam paas pahichaan |262|Associating the word “Shastar” with Varuna”, who is the destroyer of the enemy of tank, the names of Paash are recognized.262.
ਗਿਰਿ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਸਨਿ ਨਾਥ ਬਖਾਨਿ ॥
gir pad pritham bakhaan kai naasan naath bakhaan |First saying the word 'Giri', (then) chant 'Nasani Nath'.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਭਾਖੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ॥੨੬੩॥
sasatr sabad pun bhaakheeai naam paas pahichaan |263|Saying the words “Giri-nashini and Nath” and then uttering the word “Shastar”, the names of Paash are recognized.263.
ਫੋਕੀ ਨੋਕੀ ਪਖਧਰ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ਪਰੀ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

ਪਛੀ ਪਛਿ ਅੰਤਕ ਕਹੋ ਸਕਲ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ॥੨੬੪॥
pachhee pachh antak kaho sakal paas ke naam |264|The weapon destroying various kinds of birds, is known by the name of Paash.264.
ਕਸਟ ਸਬਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਉਚਰਿ ਅਘਨ ਸਬਦ ਕਹੁ ਅੰਤਿ ॥
kasatt sabad prithamai uchar aghan sabad kahu ant |Pronounce the word 'Kust' first, (then) say the word 'Aghan' at the end.
ਪਤਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਖਹੁ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੨੬੫॥
pat sasatr bhaakhahu paas ke nikaseh naam anant |265|Saying the word “Kasht” in the beginning and adding the words “Aghan, Pati and Shastar” at end, the wise people comprehend the names of Paash.265.
ਪਬ੍ਯਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਭੇਦਨ ਈਸ ਬਖਾਨ ॥
pabayaan pritham bakhaan kai bhedan ees bakhaan |First say 'Pabya' (river) and then say the words 'Bhedan (pervading) Is'.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਭਾਖੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ॥੨੬੬॥
sasatr sabad pun bhaakheeai naam paas pahichaan |266|Uttering the word “Parvati” in the beginning, then adding the words “Medini” and “Ish Shastar”, the names of Paash are known.266.
ਜਲਨਾਇਕ ਬਾਰਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਭਨਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥
jalanaaeik baarasatru bhan sasatr sabad pun dehu |By saying 'Jalanayaka' or 'Barastru', then say the word 'Shastra'.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚੀਨ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੨੬੭॥
sakal naam sree paas ke cheen chatur chit lehu |267|Uttering the words “Jal-nayak and Vari Astar” and then adding the word “Shastar”, the wise people recognize all the names of Paash.267.
ਸਭ ਗੰਗਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਪਤਿ ਕਹਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨ ॥
sabh gangaa ke naam lai pat keh sasatr bakhaan |(First) recite 'Pati Sastra' taking all the names of Ganga.
ਸਭੈ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੨੬੮॥
sabhai naam sree paas ke leejahu chatur pachhaan |268|Uttering all the names of “Ganga” and then saying “Pati-Shastar”, all the names of Paash are comprehended.268.
ਜਮੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਏਸ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ॥
jamunaa pritham bakhaan kai es asatr keh ant |Say the name 'Jamuna' first and then say 'Es Astra' at the end.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲਤ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੨੬੯॥
sakal naam sree paas ke nikasat chalat anant |269|Saying primarily the word “Yamuna” and then uttering the words “Ish-Astar”, all the names of Paash continue to be evolved.269.
ਕਾਲਿੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਭਨਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ॥
kaalindree pad pritham bhan indr sabad keh ant |Say the word 'Kalindri' first, (then) say the word 'Indra' at the end.
ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਕਹੁ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੨੭੦॥
asatr bahur kahu paas ke nikaseh naam anant |270|Saying the word “Kaalindi” in the beginning and then adding the words “Indra-Astar”, afterwards many names of Paash continue to be evolved.270.
ਕਾਲਿਨੁਜਾ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮਹ ਕਹਿ ਇਸਰਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਨਿ ਭਾਖੁ ॥
kaalinujaa pad prithamah keh isaraasatr pun bhaakh |First say 'Kalinuja' (Yamuna) and then recite 'Israstra' (Isra's weapon).
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸ ਕੇ ਚੀਨਿ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਰਾਖੁ ॥੨੭੧॥
sakal naam sree paas ke cheen chatur chit raakh |271|Saying the word “Kaali Anuja” in the beginning and then uttering the word “Ishar-Astar”, the wise people comprehend the names of Paash.271.
ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਬਲਭਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਕਹਿ ਇਸਰਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ॥
krisan balabhaa pritham keh isaraasatr keh ant |First say 'Krisna Balbha' (then) say 'Israstra' at the end.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲਤ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੨੭੨॥
sakal naam sree paas ke nikasat chalat anant |272|Saying “Krishan-Vallabha” in the beginning and then uttering the word “Ishar-Astar” at the end, all the names of Paash continue to be evolved.272.
ਸੂਰਜ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਿ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਕਹਿ ਪਤਿ ਕਹਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨ ॥
sooraj putr ko pritham keh pat keh sasatr bakhaan |First by saying 'Suraj Putri', then recite the words 'Pati' and 'Astra'.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਲੀਜੀਅਹੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੨੭੩॥
sakal naam sree paas ke leejeeahu chatur pachhaan |273|Saying “Surya-Putri” (Yamuna) in the beginning and then uttering the words “Pati-Astar”, the wise people know all the names of Paash.273.
ਭਾਨੁ ਆਤਜਮਾ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤ ਆਯੁਧ ਪਦ ਦੇਹੁ ॥
bhaan aatajamaa aad keh ant aayudh pad dehu |First say 'Bhan Atmaja' (Daughter of Sun) and put 'Ayudha' at the end.
ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਏ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚੀਨ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੨੭੪॥
sakal naam e paas ke cheen chatur chit lehu |274|Saying primarily the words “Bhanu-Aatmaj” and then adding the word “Aayudh” at the end, the wise people know all the names of Paash. 274.
ਸੂਰ ਆਤਜਮਾ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਦ ਦੀਨ ॥
soor aatajamaa aad keh ant sasatr pad deen |First say 'Sur Atmaja' and end with 'Sastra'.
