ਸਾਚ ਬਚਨ ਜੜ ਸੁਨਤ ਉਚਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
saach bachan jarr sunat uchar kai |The fool (the king heard the queen) uttering the true word.
ਦਮ ਕਹ ਰੋਕਿ ਗਈ ਜਨੁ ਮਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
dam kah rok gee jan mar kai |(He) held his breath as if he had died.
ਆਂਸੁ ਪੁਲਿਤ ਅਖੀਆਂ ਪਤਿ ਭਈ ॥
aans pulit akheean pat bhee |Tears came out in the husband's eyes.
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਰ ਸਾਥ ਉਠਿ ਗਈ ॥੭॥
tab hee jaar saath utth gee |7|Then (the queen took the opportunity) she went out with her friend. 7.
ਆਂਖਿ ਪੂੰਛਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਹੇਰੈ ਕਹਾ ॥
aankh poonchh nrip herai kahaa |Wiping his eyes, the king began to see where she had gone.
ਊਹਾ ਨ ਅੰਗ ਤਵਨ ਕੋ ਰਹਾ ॥
aoohaa na ang tavan ko rahaa |His body was not there.
ਤਬ ਸਖਿਯਨ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
tab sakhiyan ih bhaat uchaariyo |Then the Sakhis said thus.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਪਸੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੮॥
bhed abhed pas nrip na bichaariyo |8|The foolish king could not understand the difference. 8.
ਰਾਨੀ ਗਈ ਸਦੇਹ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਕਹ ॥
raanee gee sadeh svarag kah |(Friends began to say) The queen has gone to heaven with her body.
ਛੋਰਿ ਗਈ ਹਮ ਕੌ ਕਤ ਮਹਿ ਮਹ ॥
chhor gee ham kau kat meh mah |(I don't know) why we are left on this earth.
ਮੂਰਖ ਸਾਚੁ ਇਹੈ ਲਹਿ ਲਈ ॥
moorakh saach ihai leh lee |The fool (king) understood this to be true
ਦੇਹ ਸਹਿਤ ਸੁਰਪੁਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਗਈ ॥੯॥
deh sahit surapur triy gee |9|That the queen has gone to heaven with her body. 9.
ਜੇ ਜੇ ਪੁੰਨ੍ਰਯਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਲੋਗਾ ॥
je je punrayavaan hai logaa |Those who are virtuous,
ਤੇ ਤੇ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਗਤਿ ਕੇ ਜੋਗਾ ॥
te te hai ih gat ke jogaa |They are worthy of this speed (of going to heaven).
ਜਿਨ ਇਕ ਚਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਧ੍ਰਯਾਯੋ ॥
jin ik chit hvai kai har dhrayaayo |Those who unitedly worshiped God,
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਲ ਨਿਕਟ ਨਹਿ ਆਯੋ ॥੧੦॥
taa ke kaal nikatt neh aayo |10|(Then) the call could not come near them. 10.
ਇਕ ਚਿਤ ਜੋ ਧ੍ਯਾਵਤ ਹਰਿ ਭਏ ॥
eik chit jo dhayaavat har bhe |Those who focus on Hari with one mind.
ਦੇਹ ਸਹਤ ਸੁਰਪੁਰ ਤੇ ਗਏ ॥
deh sahat surapur te ge |They go to heaven with the body.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
bhed abhed kee kriyaa na paaee |(The foolish king) did not understand the trick of separation
ਮੂਰਖ ਸਤਿ ਇਹੈ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
moorakh sat ihai tthaharaaee |11|And the fool accepted this as truth. 11.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਪੰਦ੍ਰਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੧੫॥੫੯੮੪॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade teen sau pandrah charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |315|5984|afajoon|Here ends the 315th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious.315.5984. goes on

ਸਹਿਰ ਸੁਨਾਰ ਗਾਵ ਸੁਨਿਯਤ ਜਹ ॥
sahir sunaar gaav suniyat jah |Where (a) town called Sunar Gaon used to be heard,
ਰਾਇ ਬੰਗਾਲੀ ਸੈਨ ਬਸਤ ਤਹ ॥
raae bangaalee sain basat tah |The King of Bengali San lived there.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
sree bangaal matee tih raanee |Bengal Mati was his queen.
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਭਵਨ ਚਤ੍ਰਦਸ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
sundar bhavan chatradas jaanee |1|She was known as beautiful among fourteen people. 1.
ਬੰਗ ਦੇਇ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਇਕ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥
bang dee duhitaa ik taa ke |He had (at home) a daughter named Bang Dei.
ਔਰ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਸਮ ਨਹਿ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥
aauar sundaree sam neh jaa ke |There was no other beauty like her.
ਤਿਨ ਇਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਹਾਰੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ॥
tin ik purakh nihaaro jab hee |As soon as he saw a man,
ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਕੇ ਬਸਿ ਭੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ॥੨॥
kaam dev ke bas bhee tab hee |2|Then she became the abode of Kama Dev. 2.
ਸੂਰ ਸੂਰ ਕਹਿ ਭੂ ਪਰ ਪਰੀ ॥
soor soor keh bhoo par paree |She fell on the ground saying 'Sool Sool',
ਜਨੁ ਗਜ ਬੇਲ ਬਾਵ ਕੀ ਹਰੀ ॥
jan gaj bel baav kee haree |As if a serpent vine (falls on the earth) broken by (a gust of) wind.
ਸੁ ਛਬਿ ਰਾਇ ਸੁਧਿ ਪਾਇ ਬੁਲਾਇਸਿ ॥
su chhab raae sudh paae bulaaeis |When he regained consciousness, he called Chhabi Rai
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨ ਮਚਾਇਸਿ ॥੩॥
kaam bhog ruch maan machaaeis |3|And (with him) played with interest. 3.
ਬਧਿ ਗੀ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਸਜਨ ਕੇ ਨੇਹਾ ॥
badh gee kuar sajan ke nehaa |Raj Kumari was thus bound in the love of Sajjan,
ਜਿਮਿ ਲਾਗਤ ਸਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਮੇਹਾ ॥
jim laagat saavan ko mehaa |Like soapy rain is falling.
ਸੂਰ ਸੂਰ ਕਹਿ ਗਿਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਪਰ ॥
soor soor keh giree prithee par |She fell on the ground saying 'Sool Sool'.
ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਆਈ ਸਖਿ ਸਭ ਘਰ ॥੪॥
taat maat aaee sakh sabh ghar |4|(His) parents and friends came home. 4.
ਮਾਤ ਪਰੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕਹ ਜਨਿਯਹੁ ॥
maat paree duhitaa kah janiyahu |(said Sakhi) O mother! (You) think of your daughter as a fairy.
ਤਾ ਤਨ ਜੀਏ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਨਿਯਹੁ ॥
taa tan jee kuar pramaniyahu |Consider the Kumari living in this (fairy) body.
ਜੋ ਮੈ ਕਹਤ ਤੁਮੈ ਸੋ ਕਰਿਯਹੁ ॥
jo mai kahat tumai so kariyahu |You do what I say.
ਛੋਰਿ ਕਫਨ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਹਿਨ ਨਿਹਰਿਯਹੁ ॥੫॥
chhor kafan mukh nahin nihariyahu |5|Not even seeing its face after removing its shroud. 5.
ਤੁਮ ਕੌ ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਦੁਖ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹੈ ॥
tum kau taat maat dukh hvai hai |O parents! you will be sad
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸੁਤਾ ਅਧੋਗਤ ਜੈ ਹੈ ॥
tumaree sutaa adhogat jai hai |(But by doing so) your sonship will attain degradation.
ਹਮਰੋ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਸੋਕਹਿ ਧਰਿਯਹੁ ॥
hamaro kachhoo na sokeh dhariyahu |(She has said that) I should never be sad
ਛਮਾਪਰਾਧ ਹਮਾਰੋ ਕਰਿਯਹੁ ॥੬॥
chhamaaparaadh hamaaro kariyahu |6|And forgive my crimes. 6.
ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਕੌ ਮੈ ਮੁਖ ਨ ਦਿਖਾਰਾ ॥
rav sas kau mai mukh na dikhaaraa |did not face the sun and the moon,
ਅਬ ਹੇਰੈ ਕਸ ਅੰਗਨ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
ab herai kas angan hamaaraa |(Then) why should anyone see my body now?
