ਯਾ ਕੌ ਕੋਊ ਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ ॥੨੦॥
yaa kau koaoo na purakh bichaarai |20|But no man could see him. 20.

ਸਿੰਘ ਦਿਲੀਸ ਧਾਰਿ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਜਹਾ ॥
singh dilees dhaar basatr baitthe jahaa |Where Dilis Singh (Sunder) was sitting wearing armor,
ਲੋਕੰਜਨ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਡਾਰਿ ਜਾਤ ਭੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਹਾ ॥
lokanjan drig ddaar jaat bhee triy tahaa |Pari reached there with magical charm in her eyes.
ਹੇਰਿ ਤਵਨ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਰਹੀ ਉਰਝਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥
her tavan kee prabhaa rahee urajhaae kar |Confused to see her beauty.
ਹੋ ਸੁਧਿ ਯਾ ਕੀ ਗੀ ਭੂਲਿ ਰਹੀ ਲਲਚਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥੨੧॥
ho sudh yaa kee gee bhool rahee lalachaae kar |21|His pure wisdom went away and he remained tempted (in the king's son). 21.

ਯਹ ਸੁਧਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਗਈ ॥
yah sudh taeh bisar kar gee |She completely forgot what she had gone there for.
ਤਿਹ ਪੁਰ ਬਸਤ ਬਰਖ ਬਹੁ ਭਈ ॥
tih pur basat barakh bahu bhee |(Therefore) she lived in that city for many years.
ਕਿਤਕ ਦਿਨਨ ਵਾ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਆਈ ॥
kitak dinan vaa kee sudh aaee |(When) after how much time he returned to Surat
ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਅਧਿਕ ਲਜਾਈ ॥੨੨॥
man meh tarunee adhik lajaaee |22|So (that) woman became very shy in her mind. 22.
ਜੌ ਯਹ ਬਾਤ ਪਰੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਪੈ ਹੈ ॥
jau yah baat paree sun pai hai |(She was frightened that) if Shah Pari heard this
ਮੋ ਕਹ ਕਾਢਿ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਤੇ ਦੈ ਹੈ ॥
mo kah kaadt svarag te dai hai |So you will throw me out of heaven.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਯਾ ਕੌ ਕਰੌ ਉਪਾਈ ॥
taa te yaa kau karau upaaee |Therefore, some measures should be taken.
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਹਿ ਦੇਉ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੨੩॥
jaa te ih uhi deo milaaee |23|By doing which it should be merged with that. 23.
ਆਲਯ ਹੁਤੋ ਕੁਅਰ ਕੋ ਜਹਾ ॥
aalay huto kuar ko jahaa |Where was Raj Kumar's residence,
ਵਾ ਕੋ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਲਿਖਤ ਭਈ ਤਹਾ ॥
vaa ko chitr likhat bhee tahaa |Made a picture of him (Raj Kumari) there.
ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਜਬੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੁਅਰ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
chitr jabai tin kuar nihaaraa |When Kunwar saw that picture
ਰਾਜ ਪਾਟ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਤਜਿ ਡਾਰਾ ॥੨੪॥
raaj paatt sabh hee taj ddaaraa |24|So all the kingdoms were abandoned (that is, the work of the kingdom was forgotten). 24.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਮਨ ਮੈ ਭਯੋ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਾਜ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਕੈ ॥
man mai bhayo udaas raaj ko tayaag kai |He renounced the kingdom and became (very) sad in mind.
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਤਹ ਬੈਠਿ ਰਹਤ ਅਨੁਰਾਗਿ ਕੈ ॥
rain divas tah baitth rahat anuraag kai |He used to sit day and night in Anurag (love) (of that image).
ਰੋਇ ਰੋਇ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਨੈਨਨ ਰੁਹਰ ਬਹਾਵਈ ॥
roe roe drig nainan ruhar bahaavee |(He) used to cry and shed blood ('ruhar') in his eyes.
ਹੋ ਕੋਟਿਨ ਕਰੈ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਪਾਵਈ ॥੨੫॥
ho kottin karai bichaar na taa kau paavee |25|In spite of doing many kinds of thoughts (or making plans) he cannot get it. 25.
ਨਟੀ ਨਾਟਕੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਨੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਤਣਿ ਬਖਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
nattee naattakee nripanee nritan bakhaaniyai |(Thinks that she is) a natti, a dramatist, a queen or a dancer, what shall we call her?
ਨਰੀ ਨਾਗਨੀ ਨਗਨੀ ਨਿਜੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
naree naaganee naganee nij triy jaaniyai |Is she male, female, male or female?
ਸਿਵੀ ਬਾਸਵੀ ਸਸੀ ਕਿ ਰਵਿ ਤਨ ਜਈ ॥
sivee baasavee sasee ki rav tan jee |She is the offspring of Shiva, of Indra, of the Moon or of the Sun.
ਹੋ ਚੇਟਕ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਚਤੁਰਿ ਚਿਤ ਲੈ ਗਈ ॥੨੬॥
ho chettak chitr dikhaae chatur chit lai gee |26|Chatur (my wife) has taken the heart by showing this image. 26.
ਲਿਖ੍ਯੋ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਇਹ ਠੌਰ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਗਈ ॥
likhayo chitr ih tthauar bahur tih tthaa gee |After writing the picture here, she went to that place (across the seven seas to Raj Kumari's house).
ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਤੁਰਿ ਕੇ ਭਵਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਭਈ ॥
chitr chatur ke bhavan bikhai likhatee bhee |(His) image made in the house of Raj Kumari.
ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਤਿਨ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
praat kuar ko jab tin chitr nihaariyo |In the morning when Raj Kumari saw his picture
ਹੋ ਰਾਜ ਪਾਟ ਸਭ ਸਾਜ ਤਬੈ ਤਜਿ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੭॥
ho raaj paatt sabh saaj tabai taj ddaariyo |27|So he also left the kingdom and the right. 27.
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਕੁਅਰ ਕੋ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਅਟਕਤ ਭਈ ॥
nirakh kuar ko chitr kuar attakat bhee |Seeing Kunwar's picture, Raj Kumari was shocked.
ਰਾਜ ਪਾਟ ਧਨ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਸਭ ਜਿਯ ਤੇ ਗਈ ॥
raaj paatt dhan kee sudh sabh jiy te gee |From (his) heart all the pure wisdom of kingdoms and wealth vanished.
ਬਢੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਪੀਰ ਬਤਾਵੈ ਕਹੋ ਕਿਹ ॥
badtee prem kee peer bataavai kaho kih |To whom shall (he) say (good) to the increased pain of love,
ਹੋ ਜੋ ਤਿਹ ਸੋਕ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਆਨਿ ਤਿਹ ॥੨੮॥
ho jo tih sok nivaar milaavai aan tih |28|Who removes his sorrow and reunites him (beloved). 28.
ਮਤਵਾਰੇ ਕੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਬਵਰੀ ਭਈ ॥
matavaare kee bhaat kuar bavaree bhee |Like Matwale, Raj Kumari was stunned.
ਖਾਨ ਪਾਨ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਤਜਿ ਕਰਿ ਦਈ ॥
khaan paan kee sudh tab hee taj kar dee |Only then did he give up the fast of eating and drinking.
ਹਸਿ ਹਸਿ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਉਠੈ ਕਬੈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਈ ॥
has has kabahoon utthai kabai gun gaavee |Sometimes there would be laughter and sometimes (his) praises would be sung
ਹੋ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਰੋਵਤ ਦਿਨ ਅਰੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਬਿਤਾਵਈ ॥੨੯॥
ho kabahoon rovat din ar rain bitaavee |29|Sometimes she used to spend days and nights crying. 29.
ਦਿਨ ਦਿਨ ਪਿਯਰੀ ਹੋਤ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਨ ਜਾਵਈ ॥
din din piyaree hot kuar tan jaavee |Raj Kumari's body started turning yellow day by day.
ਅੰਤਰ ਪਿਯ ਕੀ ਪੀਰ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਜਤਾਵਈ ॥
antar piy kee peer na pragatt jataavee |She had the pain of her lover inside her (which she was not telling anyone).
ਸਾਤ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਰ ਪਿਯਾ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਰਹੈ ॥
saat samundar paar piyaa taa ko rahai |His beloved lived across seven seas.
ਹੋ ਆਨਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਇਤੋ ਦੁਖ ਕਿਹ ਕਹੈ ॥੩੦॥
ho aan milaavai taeh ito dukh kih kahai |30|If someone brings her (beloved) and joins her, she can say (her) sorrow to him. 30.
ਅਬ ਕਹੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਕੁਅਰ ਕੀ ਕਛੁ ਸੁਨਿ ਲੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
ab kaho brithaa kuar kee kachh sun leejiyai |(says the poet) Now I say some vithya of Rajkumar,
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸੁਘਰ ਚਿਤ ਲਾਇ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਇਤ ਦੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
sunahu sughar chit laae sravan it deejiyai |Listen (to him too). Hey, cool! Now listen carefully and give your ear here.
ਰੋਤ ਰੋਤ ਨਿਸੁ ਦਿਨ ਸਭ ਸਜਨ ਬਿਤਾਵਈ ॥
rot rot nis din sabh sajan bitaavee |That gentleman used to spend the whole night and day crying.
ਹੋ ਪਰੈ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਹਾਥ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਉਰ ਲਾਵਈ ॥੩੧॥
ho parai na taa ko haath chitr ur laavee |31|(She with the image) was not touching his hand, he was just touching the image with his heart. 31.
