ਮਤੀ ਲਹੌਰ ਤਹਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸੁਨੀ ॥
matee lahauar tahaa triy sunee |A Chhatrani woman named Lahore Mati used to listen there
ਛਤ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਗੁਨੀ ॥
chhatraanee budh bahu bidh gunee |Who was very intelligent and virtuous.
ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਤਬ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਰਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
ek purakh tab taeh barat bhayo |A man married her
ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਤ ਕੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਤ ਭਯੋ ॥੨॥
anik bhaat ke bhog karat bhayo |2|And performed many kinds of indulgences with him. 2.
ਤਿਹ ਵਹੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਯੋ ॥
tih vahu chhaadd pitaa grih aayo |He (the woman) came to her father's house
ਔਰ ਠੌਰ ਕਹ ਆਪ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥
aauar tthauar kah aap sidhaayo |And he himself went to another place.
ਮਲਕ ਨਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਰਹਾ ॥
malak naam tih ke ghar rahaa |There lived (a person) named Malak in his house.
ਕੇਲ ਕਰਨ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਚਹਾ ॥੩॥
kel karan taa sau triy chahaa |3|The woman wanted to play with him. 3.

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭੋਗੁ ਕਮਾਇਯੋ ॥
bhaat bhaat taa sau triy bhog kamaaeiyo |The woman indulged him in many ways.
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਯੋ ॥
lapatt lapatt tih saath adhik sukh paaeiyo |Got a lot of happiness by hugging him.
ਜਬ ਤਿਹ ਰਹਾ ਅਧਾਨ ਤਬੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਯੌ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
jab tih rahaa adhaan tabai triy yau kiyo |When that woman got pregnant then he did like this.
ਹੋ ਜਹਾ ਹੁਤੋ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਥ ਤਹੀ ਕੋ ਮਗੁ ਲਿਯੋ ॥੪॥
ho jahaa huto tih naath tahee ko mag liyo |4|Where her husband used to be, the road from there was taken. 4.

ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਯ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bin piy mai at hee dukh paayo |(Husband started saying together) O dear! Without (you) I have suffered a lot
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਮੁਰ ਤਨ ਅਧਿਕ ਅਕੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
taa te mur tan adhik akulaayo |And so my body has become very disturbed.
ਬਿਨੁ ਪੂਛੇ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਮੈ ਆਈ ॥
bin poochhe taa te mai aaee |That is why I have come without asking.
ਤੁਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੋ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੫॥
tum bin mo te rahiyo na jaaee |5|I can't leave without you. 5.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਆਏ ਪਤਿ ਅਤਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
triy aae pat at sukh paayo |The husband got a lot of happiness with the arrival of the woman
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਲਪਟਾਯੋ ॥
bhaat bhaat taa sau lapattaayo |and clung to him closely.
ਤਬ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਐਸੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਹਾ ॥
tab taa sau aaise tin kahaa |Then she (the woman) said to him (the husband) thus
ਤੁਹਿ ਤੇ ਗਰਭ ਨਾਥ ਮੁਹਿ ਰਹਾ ॥੬॥
tuhi te garabh naath muhi rahaa |6|That O Nath! I have become pregnant from you. 6.
ਤੁਮਰੇ ਪੀਯ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪੈ ਪਾਗੀ ॥
tumare peey prem pai paagee |Oh dear! I am completely engrossed in your love
ਇਸਕ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਸੌ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ॥
eisak tihaare sau anuraagee |And I have fallen in love with you.
ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਮੋ ਤੇ ਰਹਾ ਨ ਗਯੋ ॥
tih tthaa mo te rahaa na gayo |I did not leave that place.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤੋਰ ਮਿਲਨ ਪਥ ਲਯੋ ॥੭॥
taa te tor milan path layo |7|That is why I have taken the road to meet you. 7.
ਅਬ ਜੋ ਕਹੋ ਕਰੌਂ ਮੈ ਸੋਈ ॥
ab jo kaho karauan mai soee |Now I will do whatever you say
ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਕਹ ਜਿਯ ਸੁਖ ਹੋਈ ॥
mahaaraaj kah jiy sukh hoee |(So that my) Lord's Ji may be happy.
ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਚਹੌ ਤੌ ਮਾਰੋ ॥
kaadt kripaan chahau tau maaro |If you want, take out the Kirpan and kill me
ਆਪਨ ਤੇ ਮੁਹਿ ਜੁਦਾ ਨ ਡਾਰੋ ॥੮॥
aapan te muhi judaa na ddaaro |8|But do not separate from yourself. 8.
ਯਹ ਜੜ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਹਰਖਯੋ ॥
yah jarr bachan sunat harakhayo |This fool became happy after hearing (the woman's) words
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed na paavat bhayo |And Bhed Abhed could not understand anything.
ਯਾ ਕਹ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਰਹਾ ਅਧਾਨਾ ॥
yaa kah ham te rahaa adhaanaa |They started saying that I am pregnant.
ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਐਸੇ ਕਿਯਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਾ ॥੯॥
man meh aaise kiyaa pramaanaa |9|Thus (he) has accepted it in his mind. 9.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਨਵ ਮਾਸਨ ਬੀਤੇ ਸੁਤਾ ਜਨਤ ਭਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸੋਇ ॥
nav maasan beete sutaa janat bhee triy soe |After nine months, that woman gave birth to a girl.
ਜੜ ਅਪਨੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਲਖੀ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ਕੋਇ ॥੧੦॥੧॥
jarr apanee duhitaa lakhee bhed na paayo koe |10|1|That fool thought it was his daughter and couldn't tell the difference. 10.1.

eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau pachapan charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |255|4792|afajoon|Here ends the 255th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 255.4792. goes on

ਭਨਿਯਤ ਏਕ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਦਾਰਾ ॥

ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਜਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
chitr manjaree roop apaaraa |A king's wife was said to be.
ਕਾਨ ਨ ਸੁਨੀ ਨ ਆਂਖਿਨ ਹੇਰੀ ॥
kaan na sunee na aankhin heree |That woman had such beauty
ਜੈਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਕੇਰੀ ॥੧॥
jaisee prabhaa kuar tih keree |1|Which had neither heard with ears nor seen with eyes. 1.
ਅਘਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਕੋ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
aghatt singh tih tthaa ko raajaa |The king there was Aghat Singh
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਔਰ ਨ ਬਿਧਨਾ ਸਾਜਾ ॥
jaa sam aauar na bidhanaa saajaa |The likes of which no one else had been created by Vidhata.
ਵਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਵਹੀ ਕਹ ਸੋਹੀ ॥
vaa kee prabhaa vahee kah sohee |His radiance adorned him.
ਲਖਿ ਦੁਤਿ ਸੁਰੀ ਆਸੁਰੀ ਮੋਹੀ ॥੨॥
lakh dut suree aasuree mohee |2|Seeing (her) beauty, all the god women and demon women were enamored. 2.

ਨਰੀ ਨਾਗਨੀ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਰਨੀ ਸੁਰੀ ਆਸੁਰੀ ਬਾਰਿ ॥
naree naaganee kinranee suree aasuree baar |Wives of Manukhas, Nagas, Kinnaras, Devas and Demons
ਅਧਿਕ ਰੂਪ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਇ ਕੋ ਅਟਕਤ ਭਈ ਨਿਹਾਰ ॥੩॥
adhik roop tih raae ko attakat bhee nihaar |3|Seeing the form of that king, they used to get stuck with him. 3.

ਆਖੇਟਕ ਸੌ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਅਤਿ ਹਿਤ ॥
aakhettak sau taa ko at hit |He was very interested in hunting
ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਖਤ ਨਹਿ ਚਿਤ ॥
raaj saaj meh raakhat neh chit |And he was not interested in politics.
ਜਾਤ ਹੁਤੋ ਬਨ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਵਾ ॥
jaat huto ban mrig utth dhaavaa |While going to the forest, a deer got up and ran away.
ਤਾ ਪਾਛੇ ਤਿਨ ਤੁਰੈ ਧਵਾਵਾ ॥੪॥
taa paachhe tin turai dhavaavaa |4|After that he ran the horse. 4.
ਜਾਤ ਜਾਤ ਜੋਜਨ ਬਹੁ ਗਯੋ ॥
jaat jaat jojan bahu gayo |He (the deer) ran away with a great plan.
ਪਾਛਾ ਤਜਤ ਨ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਭਯੋ ॥
paachhaa tajat na mrig nrip bhayo |Even the king did not follow that ghost.
ਮਹਾ ਗਹਿਰ ਬਨ ਤਹ ਇਕ ਲਹਾ ॥
mahaa gahir ban tah ik lahaa |He saw a very dense bun.
ਘੋਰ ਭਯਾਨਕ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਕਹਾ ॥੫॥
ghor bhayaanak jaat na kahaa |5|(His) hideous form cannot be described.5.
ਸਾਲ ਤਮਾਲ ਜਹਾ ਦ੍ਰੁਮ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
saal tamaal jahaa drum bhaare |There sal, tamal, etc. very big brich
ਨਿੰਬੂ ਕਦਮ ਸੁ ਬਟ ਜਟਿਯਾਰੇ ॥
ninboo kadam su batt jattiyaare |Lemon, Kadam, Jata Banyan,
ਨਾਰੰਜੀ ਮੀਠਾ ਬਹੁ ਲਗੇ ॥
naaranjee meetthaa bahu lage |Orange, sweets were planted
ਬਿਬਿਧ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਰਸਨ ਸੌ ਪਗੇ ॥੬॥
bibidh prakaar rasan sau page |6|And (their fruits) were full of many kinds of juices. 6.
ਪੀਪਰ ਤਾਰ ਖਜੂਰੈਂ ਜਹਾ ॥
peepar taar khajoorain jahaa |There were pipals, palm leaves and palm leaves
ਸ੍ਰੀਫਲ ਸਾਲ ਸਿਰਾਰੀ ਤਹਾ ॥

ਨਰਗਿਸ ਔਰ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਕੇ ਫੂਲ ਫੁਲੇ ਜਿਹ ਠੌਰ ॥
naragis aauar gulaab ke fool fule jih tthauar |Narcissus and rose flowers were blooming in that place.
ਨੰਦਨ ਬਨ ਸੌ ਨਿਰਖਿਯੈ ਜਾ ਸਮ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਔਰ ॥੮॥
nandan ban sau nirakhiyai jaa sam kahoon na aauar |8|He looked like Nandan Bun like no other.8.
