ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |Dohira
ਤਬ ਕੰਨ੍ਯਾ ਐਸੇ ਕਹੇ ਸਕਲ ਸਖਿਨ ਸੋ ਬੈਨ ॥
tab kanayaa aaise kahe sakal sakhin so bain |Then the damsel told all her friends like this,
ਬਿਕਟ ਕਟਕ ਕੇ ਸੁਭਟ ਭਟ ਪਠਵੋ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਐਨ ॥੨੦॥
bikatt kattak ke subhatt bhatt patthavo jam ke aain |20|‘I will send all those invincible warriors to the hell today.’(20)
ਸਕਲ ਸਖਿਨ ਕੋ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਦੈ ਅਵਰ ਕਵਚ ਪਹਿਰਾਇ ॥
sakal sakhin ko sasatr dai avar kavach pahiraae |She gave arms to all the friends and put arm ours on them,
ਨਿਕਸਿ ਆਪੁ ਠਾਢੀ ਭਈ ਜੈ ਦੁੰਦਭੀ ਬਜਾਇ ॥੨੧॥
nikas aap tthaadtee bhee jai dundabhee bajaae |21|And beating the drum, herself, she came and stood there.(21)

ਕੰਨ੍ਯਾ ਰਥ ਆਰੂੜਿਤ ਭਈ ॥
kanayaa rath aaroorrit bhee |The girl rode on the chariot
ਜੁਧਿ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਸਭਿਯਨ ਦਈ ॥
judh samagree sabhiyan dee |She climbed on a chariot and distributed the warfare arms to all.
ਸਫਾਜੰਗ ਮਹਿ ਤੁਰੈ ਨਚਾਏ ॥
safaajang meh turai nachaae |Horses danced in the ranks of the army
ਸੁਰ ਸੁਰਪਤਿ ਦੇਖਨ ਰਨ ਆਏ ॥੨੨॥
sur surapat dekhan ran aae |22|She made the horses to dance in the field and, even, the gods came to observe.(22)

ਉਮਡੇ ਅਮਿਤ ਅਨੇਕ ਦਲ ਬਾਰਦ ਬੂੰਦ ਸਮਾਨ ॥
aumadde amit anek dal baarad boond samaan |Like the black clouds, armies appeared.
ਬਨਿ ਬਨਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਆਵਤ ਭਏ ਸਮਰ ਸੁਯੰਬਰ ਜਾਨ ॥੨੩॥
ban ban nrip aavat bhe samar suyanbar jaan |23|Hearing the news of swayamber for the selection of the bridegroom, fully adorned, the princess arrived.(23)

ਮਚਿਯੌ ਤੁਮਲ ਜੁਧ ਤਹ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
machiyau tumal judh tah bhaaree |There was a fierce war.
ਨਾਚੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥
naache soorabeer hankaaree |The ruinous war was ensued and the braves enacted the war dance.
ਤਾਨਿ ਧਨੁਹਿਯਨ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਚਲਾਵਤ ॥
taan dhanuhiyan bisikh chalaavat |(Resolutely) draw the bow and shoot the arrow
ਮਾਇ ਮਰੇ ਪਦ ਕੂਕਿ ਸੁਨਾਵਤ ॥੨੪॥
maae mare pad kook sunaavat |24|With fully stretched bows, they came into action and dying braves yelled for their mothers.(24)
ਜਿਹ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਨ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥
jih bachitr de baan lagaavai |Whom Bachitra Dei (Raj Kumari) shoots an arrow,
ਵਹੈ ਸੁਭਟ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਧਾਵੈ ॥
vahai subhatt mrit lok sidhaavai |When an arrow hit some one, that brave departed for heavens.
ਜਾ ਪਰ ਤਮਕਿ ਤੇਗ ਕੀ ਝਾਰੈ ॥
jaa par tamak teg kee jhaarai |On which she gets angry and strikes the sword,
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਮੂੰਡ ਕਾਟਿ ਹੀ ਡਾਰੈ ॥੨੫॥
taa ko moondd kaatt hee ddaarai |25|When some one received the stroke of sword, he got his head severed.(25)
ਕਾਹੂ ਸਿਮਟਿ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਹਨੈ ॥
kaahoo simatt saihathee hanai |Someone is taken care of and killed
ਏਕ ਸੁਭਟ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨ ਗਨੈ ॥
ek subhatt man maeh na ganai |Some became the victims of her dagger as she did not consider anyone of them credit worthy.
ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਰ ਬਿਬਾਨ ਚੜਿ ਸਾਰੇ ॥
dekhai sur bibaan charr saare |All the gods are watching from the planes
ਚਟਿਪਟ ਸੁਭਟ ਬਿਕਟ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥੨੬॥
chattipatt subhatt bikatt katt ddaare |26|All the gods were watching from their aero-chariots, how rapidly the intrepid were annihilated.(26)
ਗੀਧਨ ਕੋ ਮਨ ਭਯੋ ਅਨੰਦੰ ॥
geedhan ko man bhayo anandan |The vultures are enjoying themselves
ਆਜੁ ਭਖੈ ਮਾਨਸ ਕੇ ਅੰਗੰ ॥
aaj bhakhai maanas ke angan |That today human flesh will be eaten.
ਦਹਿਨੇ ਬਾਏ ਜੋਗਿਨਿ ਖੜੀ ॥
dahine baae jogin kharree |Right left blood vessels
ਲੈ ਪਾਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੋਨਤ ਕਹ ਅੜੀ ॥੨੭॥
lai paatar sronat kah arree |27|Jogans with (Khapar) are stagnant. 27.
ਮਾਰੂ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਦਿਸਨ ਮੈ ਬਾਜੈ ॥
maaroo duhoon disan mai baajai |The death knell has started ringing from both sides
ਦੁਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਭਟ ਸਾਜੈ ॥
duhoon or sasatran bhatt saajai |And on both sides the warriors are adorned with armor.
ਊਪਰ ਗਿਧ ਸਾਲ ਮੰਡਰਾਹੀ ॥
aoopar gidh saal manddaraahee |Above are flying vultures and vultures ('Sal' Shawalya).
ਤਰੈ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਜੁਧ ਮਚਾਹੀ ॥੨੮॥
tarai sooramaa judh machaahee |28|And the warriors below have created a war. 28.

ਬਾਲ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪਮ ਹੇਰਿ ਚਹੂੰ ਦਿਸਿ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਚੌਪਿ ਚਲੇ ॥
baal ko roop anoopam her chahoon dis te nrip chauap chale |Admiring the beauty of the princess, the braves swarmed the place from all the sides.
ਗਜਰਾਜਨ ਬਾਜਨ ਕੇ ਅਸਵਾਰ ਰਥੀ ਰਥ ਪਾਇਕ ਜੋਰਿ ਭਲੇ ॥
gajaraajan baajan ke asavaar rathee rath paaeik jor bhale |The valiant ones on the horsebacks and elephants marched ahead.
ਜਬ ਰਾਇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਗਹੀ ਤਜਿ ਲਾਜ ਹਠੀ ਯੌ ਰਨ ਬਿਚਲੇ ॥
jab raae bachitr kripaan gahee taj laaj hatthee yau ran bichale |When the Raja drew his sword, some of them, to protect their honours, jumped forward,
ਮਨੋ ਰਾਮ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਅਘ ਓਘਨ ਕੇ ਤ੍ਰਸਿ ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦ ਟਲੇ ॥੨੯॥
mano raam ke naam kahe mukh te agh oghan ke tras brind ttale |29|Like the devotees of Rama proceeded to get rid oftheir vices.(29)
ਕੋਪ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਭਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਭਟ ਚੌਪਿ ਚੜੇ ਚਹੂੰ ਘਾ ਚਪਿ ਧਾਏ ॥
kop prachandd bhare man mai bhatt chauap charre chahoon ghaa chap dhaae |The warriors, filled with rage and excited in mind, have broken down on all four sides.
ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਲਈ ਬਲਵਾਨਨ ਤਾਨਿ ਕਮਾਨਨ ਬਾਨ ਚਲਾਏ ॥
kaadt kripaan lee balavaanan taan kamaanan baan chalaae |The mighty have taken out their kirpans and drawn their bows and shot arrows.
ਬੂੰਦਨ ਜ੍ਯੋ ਬਰਖੇ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰਨ ਬੇਧਿ ਸਨਾਹਨ ਪਾਰ ਪਰਾਏ ॥
boondan jayo barakhe chahoon oran bedh sanaahan paar paraae |(Arrows) rain down like raindrops from all four sides and are piercing the shields ('Sanahan') and passing through.
ਬੀਰਨ ਚੀਰ ਬਿਦੀਰਨ ਭੂਮਿ ਕੋ ਬਾਰਿ ਕੋ ਫਾਰਿ ਪਤਾਰ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥੩੦॥
beeran cheer bideeran bhoom ko baar ko faar pataar sidhaae |30|They have reached the underworld by tearing apart the warriors and tearing the earth and tearing the water. 30.
