ਦੁਤੀਆ ਕਾਨ ਤੇ ਮੈਲ ਨਿਕਾਰੀ ॥
duteea kaan te mail nikaaree |And from the secretion of the other ear
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਭਈ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ॥੧੩॥
taa te bhee srisatt ih saaree |13|The whole world materialized.13.
ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਕਾਲ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਧ ਕਰਾ ॥
tin ko kaal bahur badh karaa |After some period the Lord killed the demons (Madhu and Kaitabh).
ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਮੇਦ ਸਮੁੰਦ ਮੋ ਪਰਾ ॥
tin ko med samund mo paraa |Their marrow flowed into the ocean.
ਚਿਕਨ ਤਾਸ ਜਲ ਪਰ ਤਿਰ ਰਹੀ ॥
chikan taas jal par tir rahee |The greasy substance floated thereon because of that medital (marrow)
ਮੇਧਾ ਨਾਮ ਤਬਹਿ ਤੇ ਕਹੀ ॥੧੪॥
medhaa naam tabeh te kahee |14|The earth was called medha (or medani).14.
ਸਾਧ ਕਰਮ ਜੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
saadh karam je purakh kamaavai |Because of virtuous actions
ਨਾਮ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਜਗਤ ਕਹਾਵੈ ॥
naam devataa jagat kahaavai |A purusha (person) is known as devta (god)
ਕੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਰਮ ਜੇ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਕਰਹੀ ॥
kukrit karam je jag mai karahee |And because of evil actions
ਨਾਮ ਅਸੁਰ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਧਰ ਹੀ ॥੧੫॥
naam asur tin ko sabh dhar hee |15|He is known as asura (demon).15.
ਬਹੁ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ਕਹ ਲਗੈ ਬਖਾਨੀਅਤ ॥
bahu bisathaar kah lagai bakhaaneeat |If everything is described in detail
ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਬਢਨ ਤੇ ਅਤਿ ਡਰੁ ਮਾਨੀਅਤ ॥
granth badtan te at ddar maaneeat |It is feared that the description will become voluminous.
ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਆਏ ॥
tin te hot bahut nrip aae |There were many kings after Kaldhuj
ਦਛ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਨ ਉਪਜਾਏ ॥੧੬॥
dachh prajaapat jin upajaae |16|Like Daksha Prajapati etc. 16.
ਦਸ ਸਹੰਸ ਤਿਹਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਭਈ ਕੰਨਿਆ ॥
das sahans tihi grih bhee kaniaa |Ten thousand daughters were born to them
ਜਿਹ ਸਮਾਨ ਕਹ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਅੰਨਿਆ ॥
jih samaan kah lagai na aniaa |Whose beauty was not matched by others.
ਕਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਐਸੀ ਤਹ ਭਈ ॥
kaal kriaa aaisee tah bhee |In due course all these daughters
ਤੇ ਸਭ ਬਿਆਹ ਨਰੇਸਨ ਦਈ ॥੧੭॥
te sabh biaah naresan dee |17|Were married with the kings.17.

ਬਨਤਾ ਕਦ੍ਰ ਦਿਤਿ ਅਦਿਤਿ ਏ ਰਿਖ ਬਰੀ ਬਨਾਇ ॥
banataa kadr dit adit e rikh baree banaae |Banita, Kadaru, Diti and Aditi became the wives of sages (rishis),
ਨਾਗ ਨਾਗਰਿਪੁ ਦੇਵ ਸਭ ਦਈਤ ਲਏ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੧੮॥
naag naagarip dev sabh deet le upajaae |18|And Nagas, their enemies (like Garuda), the gods and demons were born to them.18.

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਰੂਪ ਕੋ ਧਰਾ ॥
taa te sooraj roop ko dharaa |One of them (children) assumed the form of the sun
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਬੰਸ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰ ਰਵਿ ਕਰਾ ॥
jaa te bans prachur rav karaa |From that (Aditi), the sun was born, from whom Suraj Vansh (the Sun dynasty) originated.
ਜੌ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਨਾਊ ॥
jau tin ke keh naam sunaaoo |If I hear their (kings of Bansh) names
ਕਥਾ ਬਢਨ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਕ ਡਰਾਊ ॥੧੯॥
kathaa badtan te adhik ddaraaoo |19|If I describe the names of the kings of this of this clan, I fear a great extension of the story.19.
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਬੰਸ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਘੁ ਭਯੋ ॥
tin ke bans bikhai ragh bhayo |In his (Sun's) offspring, Raghu (named king) was born
ਰਘੁ ਬੰਸਹਿ ਜਿਹ ਜਗਹਿ ਚਲਯੋ ॥
ragh banseh jih jageh chalayo |In this clan, there was a king named Raghu, who was the originator of Raghuvansh (the clan of Raghu) in the world.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਤ ਭਯੋ ਅਜੁ ਬਰੁ ॥
taa te putr hot bhayo aj bar |A great son named 'Aj' was born to him
ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਅਰੁ ਮਹਾ ਧਨੁਰਧਰ ॥੨੦॥
mahaarathee ar mahaa dhanuradhar |20|He had a great son Aja, a mighty warrior and superb archer.20.
ਜਬ ਤਿਨ ਭੇਸ ਜੋਗ ਕੋ ਲਯੋ ॥
jab tin bhes jog ko layo |When he took up yoga
ਰਾਜ ਪਾਟ ਦਸਰਥ ਕੋ ਦਯੋ ॥
raaj paatt dasarath ko dayo |When he renounced the world as a Yogi, he passed on his kingdom to his son Dastratha.
ਹੋਤ ਭਯੋ ਵਹਿ ਮਹਾ ਧੁਨੁਰਧਰ ॥
hot bhayo veh mahaa dhunuradhar |He was also a great archer,
ਤੀਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਆਨ ਬਰਾ ਜਿਹ ਰੁਚਿ ਕਰ ॥੨੧॥
teen triaan baraa jih ruch kar |21|Who had been a great archer and had married three wives with pleasure.21.
ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਜਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਮੁ ਕੁਮਾਰਾ ॥
pritham jayo tih raam kumaaraa |The first (Queen Kaushalya) gave birth to a Kumar named Rama.
ਭਰਥ ਲਛਮਨ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਦਾਰਾ ॥
bharath lachhaman satr bidaaraa |The eldest one gave birth to Rama, the others gave birth to Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan.
ਬਹੁਤ ਕਾਲ ਤਿਨ ਰਾਜ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
bahut kaal tin raaj kamaayo |He reigned for a long time,
ਕਾਲ ਪਾਇ ਸੁਰ ਪੁਰਹਿ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੨॥
kaal paae sur pureh sidhaayo |22|They ruled over their kingdom for a long time, after which they left for their heavenly abode.22.
ਸੀਅ ਸੁਤ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਭਏ ਦੁਇ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
seea sut bahur bhe due raajaa |Then both of Sita's sons (Lava and Kush) became kings
ਰਾਜ ਪਾਟ ਉਨ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਛਾਜਾ ॥
raaj paatt un hee kau chhaajaa |After that the two sons of Sita (and Rama) became the kings.
ਮਦ੍ਰ ਦੇਸ ਏਸ੍ਵਰਜਾ ਬਰੀ ਜਬ ॥
madr des esvarajaa baree jab |When he married the princesses of Madra Desh (Punjab).
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਜਗ ਕੀਏ ਤਬ ॥੨੩॥
bhaat bhaat ke jag kee tab |23|They married the Punjabi princesses and performed various types of sacrifices.23.
ਤਹੀ ਤਿਨੈ ਬਾਧੇ ਦੁਇ ਪੁਰਵਾ ॥
tahee tinai baadhe due puravaa |There (in Punjab) they settled two towns
ਏਕ ਕਸੂਰ ਦੁਤੀਯ ਲਹੁਰਵਾ ॥
ek kasoor duteey lahuravaa |There they founded two cities, the one Kasur and the other Lahore.
ਅਧਕ ਪੁਰੀ ਤੇ ਦੋਊ ਬਿਰਾਜੀ ॥
adhak puree te doaoo biraajee |Both those cities were very beautiful
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਲੰਕ ਅਮਰਾਵਤਿ ਲਾਜੀ ॥੨੪॥
nirakh lank amaraavat laajee |24|Both the cities surpassed in beauty to that of Lanka and Amravati. 24.
ਬਹੁਤ ਕਾਲ ਤਿਨ ਰਾਜੁ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
bahut kaal tin raaj kamaayo |They both ruled for a long time,
ਜਾਲ ਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਿ ਫਸਾਯੋ ॥
jaal kaal te ant fasaayo |For a long time, both the brothers ruled over their kingdom and ultimately they were bound down by the noose of death.
