ਸੋ ਨ ਲਹਾ ਚੁਪ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹਾ ਸਕ੍ਰਯਾ ਨ ਭੇਦ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥੯॥
so na lahaa chup hvai rahaa sakrayaa na bhed bichaar |9|When he could not find, without discernment, he just kept quiet.(9)(1)

ਜੁ ਵੈ ਤਰਾਕ ਪਨੀਨ ਕੇ ਪਰੈ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਕਾਨ ॥
ju vai taraak paneen ke parai tihaare kaan |She said, ‘My friend listen to me, I have beaten Quazi enough,
ਤੌ ਹਮ ਸਾਚੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਹਨਾ ਲੀਜਹੋ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਪਛਾਨਿ ॥੮॥
tau ham saach tisai hanaa leejaho hridai pachhaan |8|‘I hit him with a shoe, that is why there was excessive noise.(8)
ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਹਾ ਹਮ ਸੁਨੇ ਤਰਾਕੇ ਕਾਨ ॥
