He is an authentic scholar of eighteen Shastras.
By thinking about Kali Yuga
This Brahma, the ocean of Vedas, who was the authentic knower of eighteen Puranas and Shastras, began to scan the whole world in his incarnation named Kalidas in the Iron Age.1.
(Seeing him) Bikramajit used to be happy
Who (Aap) was very arrogant and invincible.
(He) possessor of profound knowledge, abode of virtues,
The king Vikramaditya, who himself was glorious, unconquerable, scholar, full of virtues with auspicious brightness and charming eyes, remained pleased on seeing kalidas.2.
(He) composed a poem (named) 'Raghuban' in a very beautiful manner.
After his manifestation, Kalidas composed in chastened form his poem ‘Raghuvansh’
How far can I praise them?
To what extent I should describe the number of poems that he composed?3.
(Thus) Brahma assumed seven incarnations,
Then he went and got his loan.
Then (he) assumed the form of Brahma
He was the seventh incarnation of Brahma and when he was redeemed, then he assumed the form of fourheaded Brahma i.e. merged himself in Brahma.4.
End of the description of Kalidas, the seventh incarnation of Brahma in a Bachittar Natak.7.
The Lord is One and He can be attained through the grace of the true Guru.
The Lord is One and He can be realized through the Grace of the True Guru.
Now begins the description of Rudra Incarnation
TOMAR STANZA
Now correct him and say yes
Now I describe in chastened form those incarnations, which were assumed by Rudra
He did a great job,
Performing extreme austerities Rudra became egoistic.1.
He did not know anyone else equal to him
He did not consider anyone equal to him in all place and countries, then Mahakal (the great death) in ire said to him thus
Then Kaal (the man) became angry and hastened (to Rudra).
He spoke in this way. 2.
People who are arrogant ('grub'),
“Those who become proud, they deliberately perform the action of falling into a well
My name is Garb Praharak
O Rudra! Listen to me attentively that my name is also the destroyer of ego.3.
Brahma was proud
And had formed an unfair opinion in Chit.
When he assumed seven forms,
“Brahma had also become egoistic in his mind and the evil notions arose there, but when he took birth for seven times, he was then redeemed.4.
O Muni Raj! Listen carefully
“O the king of sages! listen to what I say and in the same way, you may go and take birth on the earth
No borrowing (in any manner) other than this,
Otherwise, O Rudra! You will not be redeemed in any other way.”5.
Shiva heard these words with his ears
And (that) one with beautiful nainas relented.
By knowing him (Kal Purukh) as a great warrior
Hearing this, Shiva, considering the Lord as the destroyer of ego, and leaving his persistence, incarnated on earth.6.
PAADHARI STANZA
As (behind) the state of all the kings has been narrated,
Thus I say (now) the society (of the sages) of all sages.
The kind of deeds they have done
The way, in which all the kings have been described, in the same way, the actions done by all the sages have been narrated as to how Rudra manifested himself in the castes of dvijas (twice born).7.
The characters that have been revealed,
Whatever deeds they brought to light, I relate them here
Thus Rudra Dev appeared in the form of Rishi's son
In this way, rudra became the sons of the sages, who adopted silence and attained recognition.8.
Then the great sage Atri became a sage
Then he incarnated himself as sage Atrl, who the store of eighteen sciences
(He) left the kingdom and took up yoga
He abandoned everything else and adopted Yoga as his way of life and served Rudra, the store of all wealth.9.
(He) practiced yogic sadhana for many days.
At last Rudra was pleased with him.
(Rudra said) O son! whatever you like
He performed austerities for a long time, on which, Rudra got pleased and said, “You may ask for any boon which you like, I shall grant it to you.”10.
Then Atri Muni stood with folded hands.
Then the sage Atri stood up with folded hands and his love for Rudra was further increased in his mind
The words became slurred and water started pouring out of the naina.
He became very happy the tears flowed form his eyes and his hair showed signs of jubilation, when he said11
O Rudra! If you curse me,
“O Rudra! if you want to grant me a boon, then give me a son like you
('Rudra') said 'Tathastu' (so be it) and became absorbed.
” Rudra saying “let it be”, disappeared and the sage came back to his home.12.
Coming home (he) married a woman (named) Ansua.
(It appears) as if Shiva had taken out his original element and sent it (in the form of Ansua).
