ਸੀਤਾ ਰਵਨ ਕਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੬੭॥
seetaa ravan kahaa hai |667|

Where is he who mouth the air-vehicle Pushapak and accompanies Sita?667.

ਮਾਦਰ ਖੁਸਾਲ ਖਾਤਰ ॥
maadar khusaal khaatar |

Who made Mother (Mother Kaikai) happy (Khusali).

ਕੀਨੇ ਹਜਾਰ ਛਾਵਰ ॥
keene hajaar chhaavar |

had shed their thousands (of pleasures),

ਮਾਤੁਰ ਸਿਤਾ ਬਧਾਈ ॥
maatur sitaa badhaaee |

(To meet him) Mother comes running quickly

ਵਹ ਗੁਲ ਚਿਹਰ ਕਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੬੮॥
vah gul chihar kahaa hai |668|

“He who sacrificed thousands of his joys in order to please his mother, where is he? The mother Sita may also be congratulate today, but someone may tell us where is that flower-faced Ram?”668.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸੀਤਾ ਅਯੁਧਿਆ ਆਗਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥
eit sree raam avataar seetaa ayudhiaa aagam naam dhiaae samaapatan |

End of the chapter entitled ‘The Entry of Sita in Ayodhya’ in Ramvatar.

ਅਥ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਿਲਣੰ ॥
ath maataa milanan |

Now begins the description of the Meeting with the Mother :

ਰਸਾਵਲ ਛੰਦ ॥
rasaaval chhand |

RASSVAL STANZA

ਸੁਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਆਏ ॥
sune raam aae |

(When the residents of Ayodhya) heard

ਸਭੈ ਲੋਗ ਧਾਏ ॥
sabhai log dhaae |

When the people heard that Ram had returned, then all the people ran and fell at his feet

ਲਗੇ ਆਨ ਪਾਯੰ ॥
lage aan paayan |

All the people ran (to visit),

ਮਿਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਯੰ ॥੬੬੯॥
mile raam raayan |669|

Ram met all of them.669.

ਕੋਊ ਚਉਰ ਢਾਰੈਂ ॥
koaoo chaur dtaarain |

(coming to Sri Ram) someone steals,

ਕੋਊ ਪਾਨ ਖੁਆਰੈਂ ॥
koaoo paan khuaarain |

Someone swung she fly-whisk, someone offered the betel

ਪਰੇ ਮਾਤ ਪਾਯੰ ॥
pare maat paayan |

Sri Ram went and fell at the feet of the mother.

ਲਏ ਕੰਠ ਲਾਯੰ ॥੬੭੦॥
le kantth laayan |670|

Ram fell at the feet of his mother and his mothers hugged him to their bosom.670.

ਮਿਲੈ ਕੰਠ ਰੋਵੈਂ ॥
milai kantth rovain |

Both (mother and son) cry side by side.

ਮਨੋ ਸੋਕ ਧੋਵੈਂ ॥
mano sok dhovain |

On being hugged he was weeping in order to wash away all his suffering

ਕਰੈਂ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਤੈਂ ॥
karain beer baatain |

Then Yudh-vir (Sri Ram) started talking,

ਸੁਨੇ ਸਰਬ ਮਾਤੈਂ ॥੬੭੧॥
sune sarab maatain |671|

The brave Ram began to talk and all the mothers listened.671.

ਮਿਲੈ ਲਛ ਮਾਤੰ ॥
milai lachh maatan |

(Then) met Lachmana's mother.

ਪਰੇ ਪਾਇ ਭ੍ਰਾਤੰ ॥
pare paae bhraatan |

(Both) brothers fell at (his) feet.

ਕਰਿਯੋ ਦਾਨ ਏਤੋ ॥
kariyo daan eto |

(Sumitra) donated so much

ਗਨੈ ਕਉਨ ਕੇਤੋ ॥੬੭੨॥
ganai kaun keto |672|

Then he met the mother of Lakshman and the brother Bharat and Shatrughan touched his feet. On account of the joy of union, unaccountable charity was given.672.
