ਗਿਰੇ ਬਾਰੁਣੰ ਬਿਥਰੀ ਲੁਥ ਜੁਥੰ ॥
gire baarunan bitharee luth juthan |

ਖੁਲੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਦੁਆਰੰ ਗਏ ਵੀਰ ਅਛੁਥੰ ॥੪੧੧॥
khule surag duaaran ge veer achhuthan |411|

Because of the falling arrows, the clusters of corpses re lying scattered and the gates of haven have opened for the brave warriors.411.

DOHRA

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਹਤ ਸੈਨਾ ਭਈ ਰਾਵਣ ਰਾਮ ਬਿਰੁਧ ॥
eih bidh hat sainaa bhee raavan raam birudh |

ਲੰਕ ਬੰਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਭਯੋ ਦਸਸਿਰ ਮਹਾ ਸਕ੍ਰੁਧ ॥੪੧੨॥
lank bank praapat bhayo dasasir mahaa sakrudh |412|

In this way, the army opposing Ram was killed and Ravana, sitting in the beautiful citadel of Lanka got highly infuriated.412.

ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang prayaat chhand |

BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA

ਤਬੈ ਮੁਕਲੇ ਦੂਤ ਲੰਕੇਸ ਅਪੰ ॥
tabai mukale doot lankes apan |

ਮਨੰ ਬਚ ਕਰਮੰ ਸਿਵੰ ਜਾਪ ਜਪੰ ॥
manan bach karaman sivan jaap japan |

Then, remembering the name of Shiva through his mind, speech and action, Ranana, the king of Lanka, sent his messengers to Kumbhkaran.

ਸਭੈ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੀਣੰ ਸਮੈ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲੰ ॥
sabhai mantr heenan samai ant kaalan |

ਭਜੋ ਏਕ ਚਿਤੰ ਸੁ ਕਾਲੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੰ ॥੪੧੩॥
bhajo ek chitan su kaalan kripaalan |413|

All of them were without the strength of mantra and knowing about their impending end, they were remembering the one Beneficent Immanent Lord.413.

ਰਥੀ ਪਾਇਕੰ ਦੰਤ ਪੰਤੀ ਅਨੰਤੰ ॥
rathee paaeikan dant pantee anantan |

ਚਲੇ ਪਖਰੇ ਬਾਜ ਰਾਜੰ ਸੁ ਭੰਤੰ ॥
chale pakhare baaj raajan su bhantan |

The warriors on foot, on horses, on elephants and in chariots, wearing their armours, marched forward

ਧਸੇ ਨਾਸਕਾ ਸ੍ਰੋਣ ਮਝੰ ਸੁ ਬੀਰੰ ॥
dhase naasakaa sron majhan su beeran |

ਬਜੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਰੇ ਡੰਕ ਡਉਰੂ ਨਫੀਰੰ ॥੪੧੪॥
baje kaanrahare ddank ddauroo nafeeran |414|

They all penetrated into the nose and of Kumbhkaran and began to play their tabors and other musical instruments.414.

ਬਜੈ ਲਾਗ ਬਾਦੰ ਨਿਨਾਦੰਤਿ ਵੀਰੰ ॥
bajai laag baadan ninaadant veeran |

ਉਠੈ ਗਦ ਸਦੰ ਨਿਨਦੰ ਨਫੀਰੰ ॥
autthai gad sadan ninadan nafeeran |

The warriors played their musical instruments which resounded at high pitch.

ਭਏ ਆਕੁਲੰ ਬਿਆਕਲੰ ਛੋਰਿ ਭਾਗਿਅੰ ॥
bhe aakulan biaakalan chhor bhaagian |

ਬਲੀ ਕੁੰਭਕਾਨੰ ਤਊ ਨਾਹਿ ਜਾਗਿਅੰ ॥੪੧੫॥
balee kunbhakaanan taoo naeh jaagian |415|

All of them, like children, fled in a state of perplexity, but even then the mighty Kumbhkaran did not awake.415.

ਚਲੇ ਛਾਡਿ ਕੈ ਆਸ ਪਾਸੰ ਨਿਰਾਸੰ ॥
chale chhaadd kai aas paasan niraasan |

ਭਏ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਕੇ ਜਾਗਬੇ ਤੇ ਉਦਾਸੰ ॥
bhe bhraat ke jaagabe te udaasan |

Finding themselves helpless in not being able to awaken Kumbhkaran, all of them felt disappointed and started going away and become anxious on becoming unsuccessful in their endeavour

ਤਬੈ ਦੇਵਕੰਨਿਆ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਨੰ ॥
tabai devakaniaa kariyo geet gaanan |

ਉਠਯੋ ਦੇਵ ਦੋਖੀ ਗਦਾ ਲੀਸ ਪਾਨੰ ॥੪੧੬॥
autthayo dev dokhee gadaa lees paanan |416|

Then the daughters of gods i.e. Kumbhkaran awoke and took his mace in his hand.416.

ਕਰੋ ਲੰਕ ਦੇਸੰ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸੰਤਿ ਸੂਰੰ ॥
karo lank desan pravesant sooran |

ਬਲੀ ਬੀਸ ਬਾਹੰ ਮਹਾ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੂਰੰ ॥
balee bees baahan mahaa sasatr pooran |

That mighty warrior entered Lanka, where there was the mighty hero Ravana of twenty arms, bedecked with great weapons.
