ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ॥੧੩॥
lapatt lapatt taa sau rat karai |13|And he had sex with her. 13.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਰਮਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਾਹੁ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਿਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
ramat nripat ko dekh saahu krudhit bhayo |Seeing the king having fun (with him), the Shah became very angry
ਗਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਪਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਸਮੁਹਿ ਧਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
geh kar paan kripaan samuhi dhaavat bhayo |And holding a kirpan in his hand, he stood in front.
ਨਾਗਰਿ ਕੁਅਰ ਅਧਿਕ ਮਨ ਕੋਪ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
naagar kuar adhik man kop bichaariyo |That clever woman felt a lot of anger in her mind
ਹੋ ਗਹਿਰ ਨਦੀ ਕੇ ਮਾਹਿ ਪਕਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੪॥
ho gahir nadee ke maeh pakar tih ddaariyo |14|And he caught Shah and threw him into the deep river. 14.

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਸਾਹੁ ਕਹ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
eih bidh naar saahu kah maariyo |In this way that woman killed the Shah
ਆਪੁ ਰੋਇ ਸੁਰ ਊਚ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
aap roe sur aooch pukaariyo |And he cried out in a loud voice.
ਦੈ ਦੈ ਮੂੰਡ ਭੂਮ ਪਰ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
dai dai moondd bhoom par maariyo |Hit the head on the ground
ਲੋਗਨ ਸੌ ਯੌ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੫॥
logan sau yau pragatt uchaariyo |15|And told the people like this. 15.
ਫਿਸਲ੍ਰਯੋ ਪਾਵ ਨਦੀ ਪਤਿ ਪਰੇ ॥
fisalrayo paav nadee pat pare |(My) husband's foot has slipped and (he) has fallen into the river.
ਹਾ ਹਾ ਦੈਵ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਧਰੇ ॥
haa haa daiv na kinahoon dhare |Hi hi god! No one caught (him).
ਤਰਿਯਾ ਹੁਤੇ ਨ ਮਰਤੇ ਬੂਡਿ ਕਰਿ ॥
tariyaa hute na marate boodd kar |If Taru had (or had Taru) he would not have drowned.
ਕਹ ਗਤਿ ਕੀਨ ਬਿਲੋਕਹੁ ਮੁਰ ਹਰਿ ॥੧੬॥
kah gat keen bilokahu mur har |16|See, what condition God has made me. 16.
ਹੌ ਕਿਸਹੂੰ ਫਿਰਿ ਮੁਖ ਨ ਦਿਖੈ ਹੌ ॥
hau kisahoon fir mukh na dikhai hau |(Now) I will not show my face to anyone again
ਬੈਠਿ ਇਕਾਤ ਤਪਸ੍ਯਾ ਕੈ ਹੌ ॥
baitth ikaat tapasayaa kai hau |And I will sit in solitude and do penance.
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਸਦਨ ਇਕ ਭਈ ॥
yau keh jaat sadan ik bhee |Saying this, she went to a house
ਰੈਨਿ ਪਰੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਗਈ ॥੧੭॥
rain pare nrip ke grih gee |17|And at nightfall she went to the king's house. 17.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਗਈ ਭਵਨ ਕਿਵਾਰ ਚੜਾਇ ॥
eih bidh nrip ke ghar gee bhavan kivaar charraae |Thus she closed the doors of the house and went to the king's house.
ਲੋਗ ਲਹੈ ਤਪਸਾ ਕਰੈ ਸਦਨ ਨ ਬਦਨ ਦਿਖਾਇ ॥੧੮॥
log lahai tapasaa karai sadan na badan dikhaae |18|People should understand that she is doing tapasya inside the house and not showing her face (going out). 18.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਨਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਕਹ ਮਾਰਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਗਈ ॥
nij naaeik kah maar nrip ke ghar gee |She killed her husband and went to the king's house.
ਲੋਗ ਲਖੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਾਝ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਇਸਥਿਤ ਭਈ ॥
log lakhai grih maajh tarun isathit bhee |People think that the woman is sitting at home.
ਕਿਸੂ ਨਾਥ ਕੇ ਸੋਕ ਨ ਬਦਨ ਦਿਖਾਵਈ ॥
kisoo naath ke sok na badan dikhaavee |She is not showing her face to anyone due to her husband's grief.
ਹੋ ਬੈਠੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੇ ਮਾਝ ਗੁਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਈ ॥੧੯॥
ho baitthee grih ke maajh gubind gun gaavee |19|Sitting at home, she is singing the praises of Gobind. 19.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਬ੍ਯਾਲੀਸ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੪੨॥੪੫੧੯॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau bayaalees charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |242|4519|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 242nd character of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 242.4519. goes on

ਸੁਘਰਾਵਤੀ ਨਗਰ ਇਕ ਸੋਹੈ ॥
sugharaavatee nagar ik sohai |There was a town called Sughravati.
ਸੁਘਰ ਸੈਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਹ ਕੋ ਹੈ ॥
sughar sain raajaa tah ko hai |His king was Sughar Sen.
ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਜਰੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
chitr manjaree taa kee raanee |Chitra Manjari was his queen. (she was so beautiful)
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਛੀਰ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਮਥਿ ਆਨੀ ॥੧॥
jaanuk chheer sindh math aanee |1|As if churning the ocean. 1.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਚਾਰਿ ਸਵਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਰਹੈ ਸਸਿ ਕੀ ਸੋਭ ਸਮਾਨ ॥
chaar savat taa kee rahai sas kee sobh samaan |He had four charms which were like the splendor of the moon.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੇਤੁ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਤਨੁਜ ਰਵਿ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ॥੨॥
eindr ket tin ko tanuj rav ke roop pramaan |2|Their Indra had a son (named Ketu) who was like the form of the Sun. 2.
ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਜਰੀ ਬਾਮ ਕੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਏਕ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
chitr manjaree baam ke putr ek grih naeh |But the house of Chitra Manjari woman did not have a single son.
ਤਾਹਿ ਚਿਤੈ ਚੌਗੁਨ ਚਪੈ ਸੋਚਿ ਪਚੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੩॥
taeh chitai chauagun chapai soch pachai man maeh |3|Seeing (or remembering) him (Sonkan's son), she used to get four times irritated and the thought kept burning in her mind. 3.
ਸੋਤਨੀਨ ਕੌ ਸੁਤ ਸਹਿਤ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਲਖਿ ਨੈਨ ॥
sotaneen kau sut sahit at prataap lakh nain |Seeing Sonkanan with his son in great splendor with his eyes
ਬੁਡੀ ਸੋਚ ਸਰ ਮੈ ਰਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਨ ਭਾਖੈ ਬੈਨ ॥੪॥
buddee soch sar mai rahai pragatt na bhaakhai bain |4|She used to be drowned in the sea of anxiety but did not talk openly with anyone. 4.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਜਾ ਸੌ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
jaa sau preet nripat kee jaanee |(He) with whom the king's love was (greatest) understood,
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਰਹਤ ਸੋਊ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੀ ॥
putr rahat soaoo pahichaanee |Recognized him without a son.
ਤਾ ਸੌ ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਉਪਜਾਈ ॥
taa sau adhik preet upajaaee |Expressed much love to him
ਹਿਤੂ ਜਾਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਰੀ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੫॥
hitoo jaan kar karee baddaaee |5|And glorified by knowing Hitu.5.
ਜਬ ਵਹੁ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਵੈ ॥
jab vahu raaj kuar grih aavai |When he came to Raj Kumar's house
ਬਿਖਿ ਭੋਜਨ ਲੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਖਵਾਵੈ ॥
bikh bhojan lai taeh khavaavai |So Vishayla took food and fed him.
ਜਿਯ ਤੈ ਖੋਇ ਤਵਨ ਕੌ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
jiy tai khoe tavan kau ddaariyo |Killed him
