ਇਹ ਕਾਜੀ ਰਾਜੈ ਇਨ ਘਾਯੋ ॥
eih kaajee raajai in ghaayo |(And said) This king has killed this Qazi.
ਹਜਰਤਿ ਬਾਧਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਕਹ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
hajarat baadh triyeh kah deenaa |The king tied (the king) and handed him over to the woman.
ਭੇਦ ਕਛੂ ਜਿਯ ਮਾਝ ਨ ਚੀਨਾ ॥੧੬॥
bhed kachhoo jiy maajh na cheenaa |16|But no one understood the (real) difference in (his) heart. 16.
ਮਾਰਨ ਕੌ ਲੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਿਧਾਈ ॥
maaran kau lai taeh sidhaaee |(Turkani) went to kill him
ਆਂਖਿਨ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਜਤਾਈ ॥
aankhin hee meh nripeh jataaee |And explained to the king with his eyes
ਮੁਰ ਜਿਯ ਰਾਖੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੌ ਕਰਿ ਹੌ ॥
mur jiy raakh kahai sau kar hau |That if you save my life, I will do whatever you say.
ਲੈ ਘਟ ਸੀਸ ਪਾਨਿ ਕੌ ਭਰਿ ਹੌ ॥੧੭॥
lai ghatt sees paan kau bhar hau |17|I will fill the water with a pot on my head. 17.
ਤਬ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੋ ॥
tab sundar ih bhaat bichaaro |Then Sundari thought like this
ਅਬ ਮਾਨਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਹਾ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥
ab maanaa nrip kahaa hamaaro |That now the king has accepted what I said.
ਤਾ ਕੌ ਛਾਡਿ ਹਾਥ ਤੇ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
taa kau chhaadd haath te deenaa |Released him from his hands
ਖੂਨ ਬਖਸ੍ਯੋ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਕੀਨਾ ॥੧੮॥
khoon bakhasayo mai ih keenaa |18|(And said) I have donated its blood. 18.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮਹਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਹ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
prathameh chhaadd mitr kah deenaa |First left the friend
ਪੁਨ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
pun ih bhaat uchaaran keenaa |And then said thus,
ਅਬ ਮੈ ਸੈਰ ਮਕਾ ਕੇ ਜੈ ਹੌ ॥
ab mai sair makaa ke jai hau |Now I will go on a trip to Makkah.
ਮਰੀ ਤ ਗਈ ਜਿਯਤ ਫਿਰਿ ਐ ਹੌ ॥੧੯॥
maree ta gee jiyat fir aai hau |19|If she died, then wow. And if she lives, she will return. 19.
ਲੋਗਨ ਸੈਰ ਭਵਾਰੋ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
logan sair bhavaaro diyo |People got the illusion of travel
ਆਪੁ ਪੈਂਡ ਤਿਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੌ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
aap paindd tih grih kau liyo |And he himself took the way to his (the king's) house.
ਤਾਹਿ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਡਰਪਾਨਾ ॥
taeh nirakh raajaa ddarapaanaa |The king was afraid to see him
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕਮਾਨਾ ॥੨੦॥
kaam bhog tih sang kamaanaa |20|And had sex with him. 20.
ਲੋਗ ਕਹੈ ਮਕਾ ਕਹ ਗਈ ॥
log kahai makaa kah gee |People say that she has gone to Mecca.
ਹੁਆਂ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨਹਿ ਲਈ ॥
huaan kee sudh kinahoon neh lee |But no one took the news from there.
ਕਹਾ ਬਾਲ ਇਨ ਚਰਿਤ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥
kahaa baal in charit dikhaayo |What character did (that) woman show?
ਕਿਹ ਛਲ ਸੌ ਕਾਜੀ ਕਹ ਘਾਯੋ ॥੨੧॥
kih chhal sau kaajee kah ghaayo |21|And with what cunning did he kill the Qazi. 21.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸਾਥ ਕਾਜਿਯਹਿ ਮਾਰਾ ॥
eih chhal saath kaajiyeh maaraa |Killed the Qazi with this trick
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਹ ਚਰਿਤ ਦਿਖਾਰਾ ॥
bahur mitr kah charit dikhaaraa |And then showed character to Mitra.
ਇਨ ਕੀ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥
ein kee agam agaadh kahaanee |The story of these (women) is Agam and Agadha.
ਦਾਨਵ ਦੇਵ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੨੨॥
daanav dev na kinahoon jaanee |22|None of the gods and demons understood (this). 22.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਸਤਸਠਿ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੬੭॥੫੨੧੭॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau satasatth charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |267|5217|afajoon|Here ends the 267th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 267.5217. goes on

ਚੰਪਾਵਤੀ ਨਗਰ ਦਿਸਿ ਦਛਿਨ ॥
chanpaavatee nagar dis dachhin |In the south direction was a town (named) Champavati.
ਚੰਪਤ ਰਾਇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੁਭ ਲਛਨ ॥
chanpat raae nripat subh lachhan |(There) Champat Rai (named) was a king of auspicious signs.
ਚੰਪਾਵਤੀ ਧਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਦਾਰਾ ॥
chanpaavatee dhaam tih daaraa |In his house there was a lady named Champavati.
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਰਾਜ ਦੁਲਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
jaa sam kahoon na raaj dulaaraa |1|There was no other Raj Kumari like her. 1.
ਚੰਪਕਲਾ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ॥
chanpakalaa duhitaa taa ke grih |There was a girl (named Champkala) in their house
ਰੂਪਮਾਨ ਦੁਤਿਮਾਨ ਅਧਿਕ ਵਹ ॥
roopamaan dutimaan adhik vah |Which was very beautiful and elegant.
ਜਬ ਤਿਹ ਅੰਗ ਮੈਨਤਾ ਵਈ ॥
jab tih ang mainataa vee |When lust surged in his limbs,
ਲਰਿਕਾਪਨ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਗਈ ॥੨॥
larikaapan kee sudh budh gee |2|Then all the pure wisdom of childhood was forgotten. 2.
ਹੁਤੋ ਬਾਗ ਇਕ ਤਹਾ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
huto baag ik tahaa apaaraa |There was a huge garden.
ਜਿਹ ਸਰ ਨੰਦਨ ਕਹਾ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
jih sar nandan kahaa bichaaraa |What was the equivalent of Nandan Bikhara?
ਤਹਾ ਗਈ ਵਹੁ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਮੁਦਿਤ ਮਨ ॥
tahaa gee vahu kuar mudit man |She went there with Rajkumari Prasanna Chit
ਲਏ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਿ ਅਨਗਨ ॥੩॥
le sundaree sang kar anagan |3|Taking many beauties with him. 3.
ਤਹ ਨਿਰਖਾ ਇਕ ਸਾਹ ਸਰੂਪਾ ॥
tah nirakhaa ik saah saroopaa |There he saw a handsome Shah,
ਸੂਰਤਿ ਸੀਰਤਿ ਮਾਝਿ ਅਨੂਪਾ ॥
soorat seerat maajh anoopaa |Which was incredible in Surat and Sheel.
ਰੀਝੀ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਅਟਕਿ ਗੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ॥
reejhee kuar attak gee tab hee |As soon as that beauty saw that handsome and handsome man,
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੁਘਰ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ॥੪॥
sundar sughar nihaariyo jab hee |4|So she was happy and got stuck in it. 4.
ਸਭ ਸੁਧਿ ਭੂਲਿ ਸਦਨ ਕੀ ਗਈ ॥
sabh sudh bhool sadan kee gee |He forgot all the wisdom of the house
ਆਠ ਟੂਕ ਤਿਹ ਉਪਰ ਭਈ ॥
aatth ttook tih upar bhee |And from him it fell into eight pieces.
ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਐਬੇ ਕੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਨ ਆਈ ॥
grih aaibe kee budh na aaee |He did not even have the wisdom to come home
