ਬਿਹਸਿ ਬਿਹਸਿ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਿਨ ਬਚਨ ਬਖਾਨਹੀ ॥
bihas bihas bahu bhaatin bachan bakhaanahee |They used to laugh and talk in many ways.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ਆਸਨ ਤਜਿਯੋ ਨ ਜਾਵਈ ॥
triyaa tihaaro aasan tajiyo na jaavee |(Beloved began to say) O Priya! Your seat cannot be left
ਹੋ ਕਹਿ ਕਹਿ ਐਸੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਗਲੇ ਲਪਟਾਵਈ ॥੨੬॥
ho keh keh aaisee bhaat gale lapattaavee |26|And saying like this, he was hugging his neck. 26.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਅਬਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਸਨ ਲੇਤ ਭਯੋ ॥

ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਗਰੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਤ ਭਯੋ ॥

ਚਿਮਟਿ ਚਿਮਟਿ ਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਦੋਊ ਮੁਸਕਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
chimatt chimatt rat karai doaoo musakaae kai |Both used to laugh and laugh
ਹੌ ਸਕਲ ਕੋਕ ਕੋ ਮਤ ਕੌ ਕਹੈ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੨੭॥

ਤਬ ਬ੍ਯਾਹਿਤ ਅਗਲੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਭੇਦ ਸਕਲ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਇ ॥
tab bayaahit agalee triyeh bhed sakal sun paae |When the next married woman came to know the whole secret.
ਕੋਪਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਕੀਯੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਸੰਮਸ ਕੋ ਨਾਇ ॥੨੯॥

ਬੀਰ ਸੈਨ ਪਤਿ ਪਿਤੁ ਭਏ ਐਸ ਕਹਤ ਭੀ ਜਾਇ ॥੩੦॥

bhaj dtolaa tum te gayo len tihaaro des |31|Dhola has run away from you to seize your country. 31.

ਜੋ ਤੂ ਜਿਯ ਤੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਨ ਮਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
jo too jiy te taeh na mar hai |If you do not know him
ਤੌ ਤੇਰੋ ਸੋਊ ਬਧ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
tau tero soaoo badh kar hai |Then he will kill you.
ਕੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਿਯ ਤੇ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਰੋ ॥
kai raajaa jiy te tih maaro |O Rajan! Either kill him,
ਨਾਤਰ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ ਨਿਕਾਰੋ ॥੩੨॥
naatar ab hee des nikaaro |32|Otherwise, deport now. 32.
ਜਬ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਰਾਵ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
jab ih bhaat raav sun paaee |When the king heard this
ਚਿਤ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਤਿ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥
chit ke bikhai sat tthaharaaee |So take the truth in your mind.
ਜੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਲ੍ਯਾਵਨ ਕਾਜ ਸਿਧਾਵਤ ॥
jau triy layaavan kaaj sidhaavat |(thinking that) if he had gone to take the woman
ਮੇਰੇ ਕਹੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਵਤ ॥੩੩॥
mere kahe binaa neh jaavat |33|So don't go without my permission. 33.
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਬਧੂ ਮੁਹਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
putr badhoo muhi saach uchaaro |My daughter-in-law has told me the truth.
ਲਿਯੋ ਚਹਤ ਸੁਤ ਰਾਜ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥
liyo chahat sut raaj hamaaro |My son wants to take my kingdom.
ਯਾ ਕੌ ਕਹੌਂ ਨ ਮੁਖ ਦਿਖਰਾਵੈ ॥
yaa kau kahauan na mukh dikharaavai |(He ordered that) tell him not to show his face to me
ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਬਰਖ ਬਨਹਿ ਬਸਿ ਆਵੈ ॥੩੪॥
dvaadas barakh baneh bas aavai |34|And twelve years should be cut in a bun. 34.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਪਲਟਿ ਖਰਾਵਨ ਕੌ ਧਰਿਯੋ ਪਠੈ ਮਨੁਛ ਇਕ ਦੀਨ ॥
palatt kharaavan kau dhariyo patthai manuchh ik deen |(He) removed the stands and sent a person.
ਮੋਹਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਨ ਬਸੈ ਰਾਵ ਬਚਨ ਇਹ ਕੀਨ ॥੩੫॥
mohi mile bin ban basai raav bachan ih keen |35|The king spoke in such a way that he would go to Ban without meeting me. 35.
ਸੁਨਤ ਭ੍ਰਿਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਬਚਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਮਝਾਇ ॥
sunat bhrit nrip ke bachan taeh kahiyo samajhaae |Hearing the words of the king, the servant went and explained
ਦੇਸ ਨਿਕਾਰੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਦਿਯੋ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਨ ਮੋ ਕੋ ਆਇ ॥੩੬॥
des nikaaro tuhi diyo milahu na mo ko aae |36|That (the king) has exiled you (and says that) do not come and meet me. 36.
ਤਬ ਢੋਲਨ ਅਤਿ ਦੁਖਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ॥
tab dtolan at dukhit hvai aaise kahiyo pukaar |Then the drummer cried out in great sorrow,
ਜੀਵਹਿਗੇ ਤੌ ਮਿਲਹਿਗੇ ਨਰਵਰ ਕੋਟ ਜੁਹਾਰ ॥੩੭॥
jeevahige tau milahige naravar kott juhaar |37|O Narvarkot! Greetings to you, if you continue to live, we will meet (again). 37.
ਤਬ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਉਠਿ ਚਲੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਐਸੋ ਬੈਨ ॥
tab sundar sang utth chalee sun kar aaiso bain |Then Sundari also went along after hearing such a thing.
ਹਿਯੋ ਫਟਤ ਅੰਤਰ ਘਟਤ ਬਾਰਿ ਚੁਆਵਤ ਨੈਨ ॥੩੮॥
hiyo fattat antar ghattat baar chuaavat nain |38|His heart was bursting, his heart was sinking and his eyes were shedding tears. 38.

ਸੁਨਿ ਢੋਲਨ ਏ ਬੈਨ ਨਰਵਰਹਿ ਤਜਿ ਗਯੋ ॥
sun dtolan e bain naravareh taj gayo |Hearing these words (of the father), Dholan left Narvarkot
ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਬਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਬਸਤ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਭਯੋ ॥
dvaadas barakh pramaan basat ban mai bhayo |And lived in the forest for twelve years.
ਬਨ ਉਪਬਨ ਮੈ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਫਲਨ ਕੋ ਖਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
ban upaban mai bhramat falan ko khaae kai |He wandered among the groves eating the fruits.
ਹੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਤਹ ਬਸ੍ਯੋ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਨ ਕਹ ਘਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੩੯॥
ho triyaa sahit tah basayo mrigan kah ghaae kai |39|He lived there along with his wife while hunting deer. 39.
ਬਰਖ ਤ੍ਰਿਦਸਏ ਬੀਰ ਸੈਨ ਤਨ ਤਜਿ ਦਯੋ ॥
barakh tridase beer sain tan taj dayo |Bir Sen died in the thirteenth year
ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੋਕ ਕਹ ਛੋਰਿ ਸ੍ਵਰਗਬਾਸੀ ਭਯੋ ॥
mrit lok kah chhor svaragabaasee bhayo |And having renounced (this) dead man, he became a dweller of heaven.
ਤਬ ਢੋਲਨ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਨਿ ਰਾਜ ਅਪਨੋ ਲਿਯੌ ॥
tab dtolan fir aan raaj apano liyau |Then Dholan came and got his kingdom
ਹੋ ਰਾਨੀ ਸੰਮਸ ਸਾਥ ਬਰਖ ਬਹੁ ਸੁਖ ਕਿਯੌ ॥੪੦॥
ho raanee samas saath barakh bahu sukh kiyau |40|And enjoyed happiness with Rani Shams for many years. 40.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਇਕ ਸੌ ਇਕਸਠਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੧੬੧॥੩੨੧੧॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade ik sau ikasatthavo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |161|3211|afajoon|Here ends the 161st chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 161.3211. goes on
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਦੇਸ ਤਪੀਸਾ ਕੇ ਰਹੈ ਆਠ ਚੋਰਟੀ ਨਾਰਿ ॥
des tapeesaa ke rahai aatth chorattee naar |There were eight female thieves (chortis) living in Tapisa Desa.
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰੈ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਕਊ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
rain divas choree karai sakai na kaoo bichaar |1|(They) used to steal day and night, but no one could understand (them). 1.
ਚਿਤ੍ਰਮਤੀ ਤਸਕਰ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸਿਰਦਾਰ ॥
chitramatee tasakar kuar dvai tin kee siradaar |Both Chitramati and Taskar Kuari were the leaders of those chortiyas.
ਮਾਰਗ ਮੈ ਇਸਥਿਤ ਰਹੈ ਘਾਵਹਿ ਲੋਗ ਹਜਾਰ ॥੨॥
maarag mai isathit rahai ghaaveh log hajaar |2|(They) used to sit on the road and used to rob thousands of people. 2.
ਨਾਰਾਇਨ ਦਾਮੋਦ੍ਰ ਭਨਿ ਬਿੰਦ੍ਰਾਬਨਹਿ ਉਚਾਰਿ ॥
naaraaein daamodr bhan bindraabaneh uchaar |Narayana and Damodra used to pronounce (the word) Bindraban (the word).
ਸੁਨਿ ਸਾਰਤ ਐਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਜਾਹਿ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
sun saarat aaise triyaa sabh hee jaeh bichaar |3|In this way, by telling the sign ('Sarat'), everyone understood. 3.
ਨਾਰਾਇਨ ਨਰ ਆਇਯੌ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਦਾਮੰਗ ॥
naaraaein nar aaeiyau daamodar daamang |Narayan' (he meant) 'the male has come', 'Damodar' (indicated that his limb (lak) has value (wealth).
ਬਿੰਦ੍ਰਾਬਨ ਲੈ ਜਾਇ ਬਨ ਮਾਰਹੁ ਯਾਹਿ ਨਿਸੰਗ ॥੪॥
bindraaban lai jaae ban maarahu yaeh nisang |4|Bindraban' (means that) take it to the bin and kill it. 4.

ਜਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਐਸੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
jab abalaa aaise sun paavai |When the (rest) women listen like this
ਤਾ ਨਰ ਕੌ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
taa nar kau ban mai lai jaavai |So she would take that man to the bun.
ਫਾਸੀ ਡਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਤਿਹ ਘਾਵੈ ॥
faasee ddaar pratham tih ghaavai |First they kill him by putting a noose,
ਤਾ ਪਾਛੈ ਤਿਹ ਦਰਬੁ ਚੁਰਾਵੈ ॥੫॥
taa paachhai tih darab churaavai |5|Then they steal his money from behind. 5.
ਆਵਤ ਏਕ ਨਾਰ ਤਹ ਭਈ ॥
aavat ek naar tah bhee |A woman came there.
ਫਾਸੀ ਡਾਰਿ ਤਿਸੂ ਕੌ ਲਈ ॥
faasee ddaar tisoo kau lee |(They) put a noose around his neck.
ਤਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਤਿਨ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
tab abalaa tin bachan uchaare |Then the woman spoke to them,
ਸੁ ਮੈ ਕਹਤ ਹੌ ਤੀਰ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੬॥
su mai kahat hau teer tihaare |6|(O King!) That (Bachan) I say to you. 6.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਕਹਿ ਨਿਮਿਤਿ ਮੁਹਿ ਮਾਰੋ ਅਤਿ ਧਨ ਦੇਤ ਹੌ ॥
keh nimit muhi maaro at dhan det hau |(You) hit me for what? (I give you) a lot of money.
ਤੁਮਰੋ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਦਰਬੁ ਚੁਰਾਏ ਲੇਤ ਹੌ ॥
tumaro kachhoo na darab churaae let hau |I have not stolen any of your money.
