ਰੋਸ ਕਿਯੋ ਤਾ ਪੈ ਹਜਰਤਿ ਅਤਿ ॥
ros kiyo taa pai hajarat at |The king was very angry at him.
ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸੈਦ ਖਾ ਕਰੀ ਬਿਕਟ ਮਤਿ ॥
muhinm said khaa karee bikatt mat |Sent the hard-nosed Said Khan on an expedition (to capture him).
ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੋ ॥
taeh milaae bahur geh leeno |Caught him together again
ਮੁਲਤਾਨ ਓਰ ਪਯਾਨੋ ਕੀਨੋ ॥੨॥
mulataan or payaano keeno |2|And went to Multan. 2.
ਬੰਧ੍ਰਯੋ ਰਾਵ ਬਾਲਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bandhrayo raav baalan sun paayo |The king has been captured, (this) the women heard.
ਸਕਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਕੋ ਭੇਖ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
sakal purakh ko bhekh banaayo |(They) disguised all men.
ਬਾਲੋਚੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਸਭ ਜੋਰੀ ॥
baalochee sainaa sabh joree |Gathered the entire Balochi army
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਅਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਾ ਤੋਰੀ ॥੩॥
bhaat bhaat ar pratinaa toree |3|And broke the enemy's army with each other. 3.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਘੇਰਿ ਸੈਦ ਖਾ ਕੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥
gher said khaa kau triyan aaise kahiyo sunaae |The women surrounded Said Khan and said,
ਕੈ ਹਮਰੋ ਪਤਿ ਛੋਰਿਯੈ ਕੈ ਲਰਿਯੈ ਸਮੁਹਾਇ ॥੪॥
kai hamaro pat chhoriyai kai lariyai samuhaae |4|Either leave our husband or fight with us in front. 4.

ਸੈਦ ਖਾਨ ਐਸੇ ਬਚਨਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥

ਚੜਿਯੋ ਜੋਰਿ ਦਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਸੁ ਕੋਪ ਬਢਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
charriyo jor dal prabal su kop badtaae kai |And being enraged, gathered a large army and marched.
ਹੈ ਗੈ ਪੈਦਲ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਦਏ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
hai gai paidal bahu bidh de sanghaar kai |By decorating elephants, horses, foot etc
ਹੋ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਬਾਕਨ ਕੌ ਬਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੫॥
ho soorabeer baakan kau baan prahaar kai |5|And by shooting arrows at Banke warriors (did many kinds of war) ॥5॥
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang chhand |Bhujang Verse:
ਬਜੀ ਭੇਰ ਭਾਰੀ ਮਹਾ ਸੂਰ ਗਾਜੇ ॥
bajee bher bhaaree mahaa soor gaaje |A heavy storm has blown and the great warriors are roaring.
ਬੰਧੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਨਾਨ ਬਾਕੇ ਬਿਰਾਜੇ ॥
bandhe beer baanaan baake biraaje |Beautiful warriors are sitting with bows tied.
ਕਿਤੇ ਸੂਲ ਸੈਥੀਨ ਕੇ ਘਾਇ ਘਾਏ ॥
kite sool saitheen ke ghaae ghaae |Somewhere there are wounds of tridents and saithi.
ਮਰੇ ਜੂਝਿ ਜਾਹਾਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਨ ਆਏ ॥੬॥
mare joojh jaahaan maano na aae |6|Those who have died fighting (on the battlefield) are as if they had never come to this world. 6.
ਗਜੈ ਰਾਜ ਜੂਝੈ ਕਿਤੇ ਬਾਜ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
gajai raaj joojhai kite baaj maare |Some elephants have been killed and some horses have been killed.
ਕਹੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਘੂਮੈ ਕਹੂੰ ਤਾਜ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
kahoon raaj ghoomai kahoon taaj ddaare |Somewhere kings are roaming and somewhere crowns are lying.
ਕਿਤੇ ਪਾਕ ਸਾਹੀਦ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਹੂਏ ॥
kite paak saaheed maidaan hooe |How many martyrs have become holy in the battlefield
ਬਸੇ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਮੋ ਜਾਇ ਮਾਨੋ ਨ ਮੂਏ ॥੭॥
base svarag mo jaae maano na mooe |7|And they have settled in heaven as if they were not dead. 7.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਖੈਰੀ ਜਾਹਿ ਖਗ ਗਹਿ ਮਾਰੈ ॥
khairee jaeh khag geh maarai |Khairy used to kill those who held the sword,
ਗਿਰੈ ਭੂਮਿ ਨ ਰਤੀਕ ਸੰਭਾਰੈ ॥
girai bhoom na rateek sanbhaarai |They used to fall on the ground and did not survive the whole night.
ਸੰਮੀ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਸਰ ਛੋਰੈ ॥
samee nirakh jaeh sar chhorai |Sammi used to shoot arrows at the sight of him,
ਏਕੈ ਬਾਨ ਮੂੰਡ ਅਰਿ ਤੋਰੈ ॥੮॥
ekai baan moondd ar torai |8|(She) used to tear the enemy's head with a single arrow. 8.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥
savaiyaa |Self:
ਖਗ ਪਰੇ ਕਹੂੰ ਖੋਲ ਝਰੇ ਕਹੂੰ ਟੂਕ ਗਿਰੇ ਛਿਤ ਤਾਜਨ ਕੇ ॥
khag pare kahoon khol jhare kahoon ttook gire chhit taajan ke |Swords are lying somewhere, sheaths are lying somewhere, pieces of crowns are lying on the ground.
ਅਰੁ ਬਾਨ ਕਹੂੰ ਬਰਛੀ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਕਹੂੰ ਅੰਗ ਕਟੇ ਬਰ ਬਾਜਨ ਕੇ ॥
ar baan kahoon barachhee katahoon kahoon ang katte bar baajan ke |Some arrows, some spears and some parts of horses are cut off.
ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਰ ਪਰੈ ਕਹੂੰ ਚੀਰ ਦਿਪੈ ਕਹੂੰ ਸੂੰਡ ਗਿਰੇ ਗਜਰਾਜਨ ਕੇ ॥
kahoon beer parai kahoon cheer dipai kahoon soondd gire gajaraajan ke |Somewhere the warriors are lying, somewhere the armor is being decorated and somewhere the trunks of the elephants are lying down.
ਅਤਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਪਰੀ ਨ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਸਭ ਭਾਜਿ ਚਲੇ ਸੁਤ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੇ ॥੯॥
at maar paree na sanbhaar rahee sabh bhaaj chale sut raajan ke |9|lot of people have been killed, (no one) is taking care of them and everyone has run away. 9.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਕੇਤੇ ਬਿਕਟ ਸੁਭਟ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
kete bikatt subhatt katt ddaare |How many terrible heroes have been cut.
ਕੇਤੇ ਕਰੀ ਹਨੇ ਮਤਵਾਰੇ ॥
kete karee hane matavaare |Many elephants have been killed.
ਦਲ ਪੈਦਲ ਕੇਤੇ ਰਨ ਘਾਏ ॥
dal paidal kete ran ghaae |How many infantry have been killed in battle?
ਜਿਯਤ ਬਚੇ ਲੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਰਾਏ ॥੧੦॥
jiyat bache lai praan paraae |10|Those who have escaped alive have fled after saving their lives. 10.
ਖੈਰੀ ਸੰਮੀ ਜਾਤ ਭਈ ਤਹਾ ॥
khairee samee jaat bhee tahaa |Khairi and Sammi reached there
ਠਾਢੋ ਸੈਦ ਖਾਨ ਥੋ ਜਹਾ ॥
tthaadto said khaan tho jahaa |Where Said Khan was standing.
ਨਿਜੁ ਹਥਿਯਹਿ ਜੰਜੀਰਹਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
nij hathiyeh janjeereh ddaare |threw off the chains of his elephants (on the earth).
ਤਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਝਾਰੀ ਤਰਵਾਰੈ ॥੧੧॥
tahee jaae jhaaree taravaarai |11|And go there and brush swords. 11.
ਖੁਨਸਿ ਖਗ ਖਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
khunas khag khatriyeh prahaariyo |After eating Khuns, Chhatri struck the sword on the warrior.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਕਰੀ ਕਰ ਕੌ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
pratham karee kar kau katt ddaariyo |First the trunk of the elephant was cut.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਖਾਨ ਕੌ ਤੇਗ ਚਲਾਈ ॥
bahur khaan kau teg chalaaee |Then Kharag attacked Khan.
ਗ੍ਰੀਵਾ ਬਚੀ ਨਾਕ ਪਰ ਆਈ ॥੧੨॥
greevaa bachee naak par aaee |12|The neck was saved, but it hit the nose. 12.
