ਆਪੁ ਆਪ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਊ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੧੧॥
aap aap meh teaoo na jaanai |11|They did not know anything even among themselves. 11.

ਕਹਾ ਲਖਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਿ ਕੈਸੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
kahaa lakhaa triy karam kar kaise karam kamaae |Who has understood what karma that woman did and how she earned karma.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਸਭ ਆਪੁ ਮਹਿ ਸਕਾ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਪਾਇ ॥੧੨॥
bhed abhed sabh aap meh sakaa na koaoo paae |12|None of (them) all could understand the differences among themselves. 12.

ਰਾਜ ਸੈਨ ਇਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਦਛਿਨ ॥
raaj sain ik raajaa dachhin |There was a king named Raj Sen in the south.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਜ ਮਤੀ ਸੁਭ ਲਛਨ ॥
triy tih raaj matee subh lachhan |In his house there was a woman named Raj Mati with auspicious signs.
ਅਮਿਤ ਦਰਬ ਤਨ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥
amit darab tan bhare bhanddaaraa |His storehouses were filled with immense wealth
ਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਆਵਤ ਵਾਰ ਨ ਪਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
jin ko aavat vaar na paaraa |1|Who had no end. 1.
ਪਿੰਗਲ ਦੇ ਤਹ ਸਾਹ ਦੁਲਾਰੀ ॥
pingal de tah saah dulaaree |There was a daughter of a Shah named (Dei) of Pingal
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਮ ਨਹਿ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ॥
jaa kee sam neh dutiy kumaaree |There was no other virgin like her.
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭਈ ਦਿਵਾਨੀ ॥
nirakh nripat triy bhee divaanee |(She) became mad at the sight of the king.
ਤਬ ਤੇ ਰੁਚਤ ਖਾਨ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
tab te ruchat khaan neh paanee |2|Since then (he) did not like eating and drinking. 2.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਲਗਨਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਤਨ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
taa kee lagan nripat tan laagee |His passion was with the king.
ਛੂਟੈ ਕਹਾ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਜਾਗੀ ॥
chhoottai kahaa anokhee jaagee |(He) how he escaped after falling in love.
ਸਖੀ ਚੀਨਿ ਇਕ ਹਿਤੂ ਸ੍ਯਾਨੀ ॥
sakhee cheen ik hitoo sayaanee |He looked at a wise woman with interest
ਪਠੈ ਦਈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀ ਰਜਧਾਨੀ ॥੩॥
patthai dee nrip kee rajadhaanee |3|Sent to the capital of the king. 3.
ਜਿਮਿ ਤਿਮਿ ਬਦਾ ਮਿਲਨ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
jim tim badaa milan tih sangaa |Like how he asked to meet her.
ਤਿਹ ਤਨ ਬ੍ਯਾਪਿਯੋ ਅਧਿਕ ਅਨੰਗਾ ॥
tih tan bayaapiyo adhik anangaa |Lust has become very prevalent in his body.
ਤਿਹ ਭੇਟਨ ਕੌ ਚਿਤ ਲਲਚਾਵੈ ॥
tih bhettan kau chit lalachaavai |On meeting him (his) heart is tempted.
ਘਾਤ ਨ ਨਿਕਸਨ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੪॥
ghaat na nikasan kee triy paavai |4|But there is no chance of getting out. 4.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਇਕ ਭੂਪ ਬੁਲਾਵਤ ॥
kahiyo saahu ik bhoop bulaavat |She (the woman) told Shah that a king is calling
ਸਭ ਅੰਨਨ ਕੋ ਨਿਰਖ ਲਿਖਾਵਤ ॥
sabh anan ko nirakh likhaavat |And writing the price of all the grains.
ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਤਹ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਿਧਾਰਾ ॥
bachan sunat tah saahu sidhaaraa |Hearing (this) the Shah went there.
ਭਲੋ ਬੁਰੋ ਨਹਿ ਮੂੜ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੫॥
bhalo buro neh moorr bichaaraa |5|That fool did not consider good and bad. 5.
ਨਿਕਸਤ ਭਈ ਘਾਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪਾਇ ॥
nikasat bhee ghaat triy paae |The woman saw the opportunity and left
ਭੋਗ ਕੀਆ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੋ ਜਾਇ ॥
bhog keea raajaa so jaae |And went and joined the king.
ਰਹਿਯੋ ਮੂੜ ਪਰ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਬਹਿਠੋ ॥
rahiyo moorr par dvaar bahittho |That fool was sitting on the door.
ਭਲਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਛੁ ਲਗਿਯੋ ਨ ਡਿਠੋ ॥੬॥
bhalaa buraa kachh lagiyo na ddittho |6|(He) did not feel or see anything good or bad. 6.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਰਿ ਕੇਲ ਭੂਪ ਸੌ ਆਈ ॥
triy kar kel bhoop sau aaee |The woman came back after playing with the king
ਲਯੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਘਰ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
layo saahu ghar bahur bulaaee |And then called Shah back home.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਦੋਊ ਜੈ ਹੈ ॥
kahiyo praat ham tum doaoo jai hai |They said that in the morning you and I will go (to the king).
ਰਾਜਾ ਕਹਤ ਵਹੈ ਕਰਿ ਐਹੈ ॥੭॥
raajaa kahat vahai kar aaihai |7|And what the king says, we will do. 7.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਮੂਰਖ ਤਿਹ ਛਲਾ ਸਕਿਯੋ ਨ ਭੇਦ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥
eih chhal moorakh tih chhalaa sakiyo na bhed bichaar |By this trick that fool was tricked, (he) could not understand the real secret.
ਕਹਾ ਚਰਿਤ ਇਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਿਯਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੰਗ ਰਮੀ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ॥੮॥
kahaa charit in triy kiyaa nrip sang ramee sudhaar |8|What kind of character did that woman have and how well did she have a relationship with the king? 8.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਚੌਤੀਸ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੩੪॥੬੨੪੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥

ਸਹਿਰ ਸਰੋਹੀ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਤ ਕਰਨ ਇਕ ਰਾਇ ॥
sahir sarohee ke bikhai bikrat karan ik raae |There was a king named Bikrat Karan in Sarohi Nagar.
ਬੀਰ ਬਡੋ ਬਾਕੋ ਰਥੀ ਰਾਖਤ ਸਭ ਕੋ ਭਾਇ ॥੧॥
beer baddo baako rathee raakhat sabh ko bhaae |1|He was a great warrior, banka charioteer and benefactor of all. 1.

ਅਬਲਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਨੀ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ॥
abalaa de raanee taa ke ghar |He had a queen named Abla De (Dei).
ਅਧਿਕ ਪੰਡਿਤਾ ਸਕਲ ਹੁਨਰ ਕਰਿ ॥
adhik pandditaa sakal hunar kar |He was very skilled in all arts.
ਬੀਰਮ ਦੇਵ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਯੋ ॥
beeram dev putr tih jaayo |She gave birth to a son named Beeram Dev
ਤੇਜਵਾਨ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੁਹਾਯੋ ॥੨॥
tejavaan balavaan suhaayo |2|Who was worshiped as very energetic and strong. 2.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥
taa kee jaat na prabhaa bakhaanee |His glory cannot be extolled,
ਰੂਪ ਅਨੰਗ ਧਰਿਯੋ ਹੈ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
roop anang dhariyo hai jaanee |As if Kama Dev had assumed another form.
