ਬਿਸ੍ਵਮਤੀ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
bisvamatee taa ke ik naaree |He had a biswamati wife,
ਜਾਤ ਨ ਜਿਹ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
jaat na jih kee prabhaa uchaaree |1|whose beauty cannot be described.1.
ਨਾਇਨੇਕ ਤਿਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
naaeinek tin nripat nihaaree |That king saw a pearl.
ਰੂਪਮਾਨ ਗੁਨਮਾਨ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
roopamaan gunamaan bichaaree |Considered him very dignified and virtuous.
ਤਾ ਕਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਸਦਨ ਲੈ ਆਯੋ ॥
taa kah pakar sadan lai aayo |He caught him and brought him to the palace.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥੨॥
kaam bhog tih saath kamaayo |2|Had sex with him. 2.
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਲੈ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਰੋ ॥
taa ko lai isatree nrip karo |The king made her his wife
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਬਿਹਰੋ ॥
bhaat bhaat tih saath biharo |And made love with him every now and then.
ਤਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੀ ਕੁਟੇਵ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
taa triy kee kuttev neh jaaee |That woman's 'Kuvet' ('Kuvat'- interest in going to Kumarakom) did not go away
ਅਵਰਨ ਸਾਥ ਰਮੈ ਲਪਟਾਈ ॥੩॥
avaran saath ramai lapattaaee |3|And she kept having fun with other (men). 3.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਅਰਧ ਨਿਸਾ ਜਬ ਭਈ ॥
eik din aradh nisaa jab bhee |One day when it was midnight,
ਜਾਰ ਧਾਮ ਨਾਇਨ ਵਹ ਗਈ ॥
jaar dhaam naaein vah gee |So she went to Nain Yar's house.
ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰਨ ਗਹਿ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਲਿਯ ॥
chauakeedaaran geh taa kau liy |The guards caught him
ਨਾਕ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਰ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਦਿਯ ॥੪॥
naak kaatt kar bahur chhaadd diy |4|And after cutting his nose, he left again. 4.
ਨਾਇਨਿ ਕਟੀ ਨਾਕ ਲੈ ਕੈ ਕਰ ॥
naaein kattee naak lai kai kar |Nain holding a severed nose
ਫਿਰਿ ਆਈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰ ਘਰ ॥
fir aaee nrip ke bheetar ghar |Then she entered the king's house.
ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਰੋਮ ਮੂੰਡਬੇ ਕਾਜਾ ॥
tab nrip rom moonddabe kaajaa |Then the king shaved his hair
ਮਾਗ੍ਯੋ ਤੁਰਤੁ ਉਸਤਰਾ ਰਾਜਾ ॥੫॥
maagayo turat usataraa raajaa |5|Asked him for a razor. 5.
ਤਬ ਤਿਨ ਵਹੈ ਉਸਤਰਾ ਦੀਯੋ ॥
tab tin vahai usataraa deeyo |Then he gave that razor,
ਜਾ ਪਰ ਬਾਢਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਕੀਯੋ ॥
jaa par baadt na kabahoon keeyo |With which hair was never shaved before.
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਅਧਿਕ ਰਿਸਾਯੋ ॥
nirakh nripat tih adhik risaayo |The king was very angry seeing him
ਗਹਿ ਤਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥੬॥
geh taa triy kee or chalaayo |6|And caught it and threw it at that woman. 6.
ਤਬ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ ਕਹਿ ਉਠੀ ॥
tab triy haae haae keh utthee |Then that woman started saying 'hi hi',
ਕਾਟਿ ਨਾਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੂ ਸੁਟੀ ॥
kaatt naak raajaa joo suttee |O king! (You have broken my) nose.
ਤਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੇਰਨ ਤਿਹ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
tab raajaa heran tih dhaayo |Then the king went up to see him
ਸ੍ਰੋਨ ਪੁਲਤ ਲਖਿ ਮੁਖ ਬਿਸਮਾਯੋ ॥੭॥
sron pulat lakh mukh bisamaayo |7|And he was surprised to see the face covered with blood.7.
ਹਾਹਾ ਪਦ ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
haahaa pad tab nripat uchaaraa |Then the king uttered the words 'Hi Hi'
ਮੈ ਨਹਿ ਐਸੇ ਭੇਦ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
mai neh aaise bhed bichaaraa |(And said) that I had not thought of it.
ਨਿਰਖਹੁ ਤਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੀ ਚਤੁਰਈ ॥
nirakhahu taa triy kee chaturee |Look at the cunning of that woman
ਰਾਜਾ ਮੂੰਡ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਦਈ ॥੮॥
raajaa moondd buraaee dee |8|That (all) the evil was put on the head of the king. 8.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕੌ ਤਿਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕਿਯਾ ਨ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥
bhed abhed kau tin nripat kiyaa na hridai bichaar |That king did not think of separation in his mind.
ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਸਿਰ ਦਈ ਨਾਕ ਕਟਾਈ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੯॥
taeh buraaee sir dee naak kattaaee naar |9|(That) woman had her nose cut (elsewhere) but evil was put on her (the king's) head. 9.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਤੇਰਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੧੩॥੫੯੫੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade teen sau terah charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |313|5958|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 313th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious.313.5958. goes on

ਦਛਿਨ ਸੈਨ ਸੁ ਦਛਿਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਇਕ ॥
dachhin sain su dachhin nrip ik |In Dachshan (Disha) there was a king named Dachhin Sen.
ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਾਨਤ ਥੋ ਨਿਕ ॥
saasatr simrit jaanat tho nik |He knew many Shastra Smritis.
ਸਦਨ ਸੁ ਦਛਿਨ ਦੇ ਤਿਹ ਦਾਰਾ ॥
sadan su dachhin de tih daaraa |In that (king's) house was a woman named Dachhin (Dei).
ਜਨੁ ਸਸਿ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਗਗਨ ਮੰਝਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
jan sas charriyo gagan manjhaaraa |1|(It seemed like this) as if the moon had risen in the sky. 1.
ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਰਾਨੀ ਕੀ ਥੀ ਛਬਿ ॥
apramaan raanee kee thee chhab |The queen had infinite beauty,
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਜਿਹ ਰਹਤ ਭਾਨ ਦਬਿ ॥
nirakh prabhaa jih rahat bhaan dab |Seeing whose radiance, the sun used to be subdued.
ਰਾਜਾ ਅਧਿਕ ਆਸਕਤ ਤਾ ਪਰਿ ॥
raajaa adhik aasakat taa par |The king was very fond of her
ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਅਲਿ ਪੰਖੁਰੀ ਕਮਲ ਕਰਿ ॥੨॥
jih bidh al pankhuree kamal kar |2|As the brown is on the petal of the lotus. 2.
ਤਹਾ ਸਾਹ ਕੀ ਹੁਤੀ ਦੁਲਾਰੀ ॥
tahaa saah kee hutee dulaaree |There used to be a daughter of (one) Shah.
ਤਿਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
tin raajaa kee prabhaa nihaaree |He (one day) saw the beauty of the king.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੇਇ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
sree su kumaar dee tih naamaa |His name was Sukumar Dei.
ਜਿਹ ਸੀ ਭਈ ਨ ਮਹਿ ਮਹਿ ਬਾਮਾ ॥੩॥
jih see bhee na meh meh baamaa |3|There was no woman like her on earth. 3.
ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਹ ਸੁਤਾ ਯੌ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥
chit meh saah sutaa yau kahiyo |Shah's daughter said in her mind
ਜਬ ਤਿਹ ਹੇਰਿ ਅਟਕ ਮਨ ਰਹਿਯੋ ॥
jab tih her attak man rahiyo |That when one has seen him, the mind is stuck (in him).
ਕੌਨ ਜਤਨ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪਾਊ ॥
kauan jatan jaa te nrip paaoo |With what effort should I get the king?
ਚਿਤ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਬਿਸਰਾਊ ॥੪॥
chit te triy pahilee bisaraaoo |4|And forget the first woman from (his) mind. 4.
ਬਸਤ੍ਰਤਿ ਉਤਮ ਸਕਲ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥
basatrat utam sakal utaare |He took off all the best armor
ਮੇਖਲਾਦਿ ਤਨ ਮੋ ਪਟ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
mekhalaad tan mo patt dhaare |And Mekhla etc. clothes were worn on the body.
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਧੂਮ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਪਰ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
taa ke dhoom dvaar par ddaariyo |Smoked incense at his (king's) door.
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਨ ਕਿਨੂੰ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੫॥
eisatree purakh na kinoo bichaariyo |5|No man or woman considered (it).5.
ਕੇਤਿਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਬੀਤ ਜਬ ਗਏ ॥
ketik divas beet jab ge |When a few days passed,
ਲਖਨ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ॥
lakhan nagar nikasat prabh bhe |So the king went out to see the city.
ਭਾਖਾ ਸੁਨਨ ਸਭਨ ਕੀ ਕਾਜਾ ॥
bhaakhaa sunan sabhan kee kaajaa |To listen to everyone's words
ਅਤਿਥ ਭੇਸ ਧਰਿ ਨਿਕਸਿਯੋ ਰਾਜਾ ॥੬॥
atith bhes dhar nikasiyo raajaa |6|The king came out with the beggar of the saint. 6.
ਤਿਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭੇਸ ਅਤਿਥ ਕੋ ਧਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
tin triy bhes atith ko dhar kai |That woman also took the form of a saint
ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਨਿਹਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
bachan uchaariyo nripeh nihar kai |Seeing the king uttered words.
ਕਹ ਭਯੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਤਿ ਕੌ ॥
kah bhayo raajaa moorakh mat kau |What happened to the foolish king
ਭਲੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਜਾਨਤ ਨਹਿ ਗਤਿ ਕੌ ॥੭॥
bhalee buree jaanat neh gat kau |7|Who does not understand the situation of good and bad.7.
ਦੁਰਾਚਾਰ ਰਾਨੀ ਜੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
duraachaar raanee ju kamaavai |The queen who does much mischief,
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਨਿਤ੍ਯ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
taa ke dhaam nitay nrip jaavai |The king goes to her house every day.
ਜੜ ਇਹ ਲਖਤ ਮੋਰਿ ਹਿਤਕਾਰਨਿ ॥
jarr ih lakhat mor hitakaaran |The fool (the king) understands (that it) interests me.
ਸੋ ਨਿਤ ਸੋਤ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਯਾਰਨਿ ॥੮॥
so nit sot sang lai yaaran |8|But she sleeps with her friends every day. 8.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਯਹ ਧੁਨਿ ਸ੍ਰਵਨਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
nrip yah dhun sravanan sun paaee |(When) the king heard this with his ears
ਪੂਛਤ ਭਯੋ ਤਿਸੀ ਕਹ ਜਾਈ ॥
poochhat bhayo tisee kah jaaee |So go and ask him.
ਅਥਿਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਹ੍ਯਾਂ ਦੋ ਕ੍ਯਾ ਕਰੈ ॥
athit nripat hayaan do kayaa karai |O saint! What should the king do here?
ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਹਹੁ ਸੋ ਬਿਧਿ ਪਰਹਰੈ ॥੯॥
jo tum kahahu so bidh paraharai |9|What you are saying, (that) should be removed by what method. 9.
ਇਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜੋਗ ਨ ਐਸੀ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
eih nrip jog na aaisee naaree |(The sage replied) This king Jog is not such a woman.
