ਜਲ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਜਲ ਮੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਯੋ ॥੬੧॥
jal hvai jayon jal mai mil gayo |61|And (mixed with Gorakh) as water mixes with water. 61.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਏਕ ਮੂੰਡ ਭਰਥਰਿ ਘ੍ਰਿਤ ਚੁਅਤ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
ek moondd bharathar ghrit chuat nihaariyo |(One day while begging for alms) Bharthari saw the blade (of a spinning wheel) (from which it was heated) drinking ghee.
ਹਸਿ ਹਸਿ ਤਾ ਸੋ ਬਚਨ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
has has taa so bachan ih bhaat uchaariyo |(That wheel-spinning Prati Bharthari) laughingly uttered the words like this.
ਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਲਗੇ ਕਟਾਛ ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਖੋਵਹੀ ॥
jin ko lage kattaachh raaj te khovahee |Those who are slandered (by a woman), they take away the kingdom.
ਹੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਕਰ ਲਾਗੇ ਤੈ ਕ੍ਯੋ ਮੂਢ ਨ ਰੋਵਹੀ ॥੬੨॥
ho tuhi kar laage tai kayo moodt na rovahee |62|Oh the wheels of the wheel! You have got the hands (of a woman), so why don't you cry. 62.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਬੀਤਤ ਬਰਖ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਬ ਭਏ ॥
beetat barakh bahut jab bhe |When many years passed
ਭਰਥਰਿ ਦੇਸ ਆਪਨੇ ਗਏ ॥
bharathar des aapane ge |So Bharthari went to his country.
ਚੀਨਤ ਏਕ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਭਈ ॥
cheenat ek chanchalaa bhee |A woman (from there) recognized (the king).
ਨਿਕਟ ਰਾਨਿਯਨ ਕੇ ਚਲਿ ਗਈ ॥੬੩॥
nikatt raaniyan ke chal gee |63|And went to the queens. 63.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਸੁਨਿ ਰਾਨਿਯਨ ਐਸੋ ਬਚਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
sun raaniyan aaiso bachan raajaa liyo bulaae |Hearing such a thing, the queens called the king (to them).
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਰੋਦਨ ਕਰਤ ਰਹੀ ਚਰਨ ਲਪਟਾਇ ॥੬੪॥
bhaat bhaat rodan karat rahee charan lapattaae |64|After doing many kinds of crying, they embraced the (king's) feet. 64.
ਸੋਰਠਾ ॥
soratthaa |Sortha:
ਮਾਸਾ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਮਾਸ ਰਕਤ ਰੰਚ ਤਨ ਨ ਰਹਿਯੋ ॥
maasaa rahiyo na maas rakat ranch tan na rahiyo |(The queens began to say) There is no more flesh in the body nor blood in the body.
ਸ੍ਵਾਸ ਨ ਉਡ੍ਯੋ ਉਸਾਸ ਆਸ ਤਿਹਾਰੈ ਮਿਲਨ ਕੀ ॥੬੫॥
svaas na uddayo usaas aas tihaarai milan kee |65|The breath did not fly away with raised breaths (because) there was hope of meeting you. 65.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਜੋਗ ਕੀਯੋ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਰ ॥
jog keeyo pooran bhayo nrip bar |O great king! You have become perfect by doing yogic sadhana.
ਅਬ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੋ ਸੁਖ ਸੌ ਘਰ ॥
ab tum raaj karo sukh sau ghar |Now you rule the house happily.
ਜੌ ਸਭਹਿਨ ਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਸੰਘਾਰੋ ॥
jau sabhahin ham pratham sanghaaro |Or (you now) kill us all first
ਤਾ ਪਾਛੇ ਬਨ ਓਰ ਸਿਧਾਰੋ ॥੬੬॥
taa paachhe ban or sidhaaro |66|Then go to the back. 66.
ਭਰਥਰਿ ਬਾਚ ॥
bharathar baach |Bharthari said:

ਜੇ ਰਾਨੀ ਜੋਬਨ ਭਰੀ ਅਧਿਕ ਤਬੈ ਗਰਬਾਹਿ ॥
je raanee joban bharee adhik tabai garabaeh |The queens who were active then, and very proud,
ਤੇ ਅਬ ਰੂਪ ਰਹਿਤ ਭਈ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਗਰਬ ਕਛੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੬੭॥
te ab roop rahit bhee rahiyo garab kachh naeh |67|They have now become formless, there is no pride left in them. 67.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਅਬਲਾ ਹੁਤੀ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤੇ ਭਈ ॥
abalaa hutee tarun te bhee |She who was (then) young became young
ਤਰੁਨਿ ਜੁ ਹੁਤੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥
tarun ju hutee bridh hvai gee |And she who was young became old.
ਬਿਰਧਨਿ ਤੇ ਕੋਊ ਲਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
biradhan te koaoo lahee na jaavai |None of those who were old are seen.
ਚਿਤ ਕੌ ਇਹੈ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਆਵੈ ॥੬੮॥
chit kau ihai asacharaj aavai |68|This is the wonder in Chit. 68.
ਜੇ ਰਾਨੀ ਜੋਬਨ ਕੀ ਭਰੀ ॥
je raanee joban kee bharee |The queens who were (then) full of lust,
ਤੇ ਅਬ ਭਈ ਜਰਾ ਕੀ ਧਰੀ ॥
te ab bhee jaraa kee dharee |Old age has overtaken them.
ਜੇ ਅਬਲਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗਰਬਾਹੀ ॥
je abalaa sundar garabaahee |Women who were proud of their beauty,
ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਗਰਬ ਕਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੬੯॥
tin ko rahiyo garab kachh naahee |69|Their grub is completely gone. 69.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਜੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਗਰਬਤ ਤਬੈ ਅਧਿਕ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਨਾਰਿ ॥
je man mai garabat tabai adhik chanchalaa naar |The more fickle women then were very proud in their minds,
ਤੇ ਅਬ ਜੀਤਿ ਜਰਾ ਲਈ ਸਕਤ ਨ ਦੇਹ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ॥੭੦॥
te ab jeet jaraa lee sakat na deh sanbhaar |70|Old age has overtaken them now, (they) cannot even maintain their bodies. 70.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਜੇ ਜੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤਬੈ ਗਰਬਾਹੀ ॥
je je triyaa tabai garabaahee |Which the women used to be proud of then,
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਗਰਬ ਕਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
tin ke rahiyo garab kachh naahee |They are no longer proud of anything.
ਤਰੁਨੀ ਹੁਤੀ ਬਿਰਧ ਤੇ ਭਈ ॥
tarunee hutee biradh te bhee |Those who were young have become old.
ਠੌਰੈ ਠੌਰ ਔਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥੭੧॥
tthauarai tthauar aauar hvai gee |71|Gradually, others have become more. 71.
ਕੇਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਜਾਤ ਨਹਿ ਕਹੀ ॥
kesan prabhaa jaat neh kahee |The splendor of (their) cases could not be described,
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਜਟਨ ਜਾਨਵੀ ਬਹੀ ॥
jaanuk jattan jaanavee bahee |(But now they are appearing like this) as if the Ganges is flowing in (Shiva's) jatas.
ਕੈਧੋ ਸਕਲ ਦੁਗਧ ਸੌ ਧੋਏ ॥
kaidho sakal dugadh sau dhoe |or all cases washed down with milk,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸੇਤ ਬਰਨ ਕਚ ਹੋਏ ॥੭੨॥
taa te set baran kach hoe |72|By doing this, they have become white in color. 72.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਮੁਕਤਨ ਹੀਰਨ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਇਨ ਪਰ ਕੀਏ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ॥
mukatan heeran ke bahut in par kee singaar |(Sometimes) they were adorned with diamonds and pearls,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਛਬਿ ਭਏ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਬਾਰ ॥੭੩॥
taa te tin kee chhab bhe tarun tihaare baar |73|So ladies! The image of these hairs of yours has become like them (white). 73.
ਜੋ ਤਬ ਅਤਿ ਸੋਭਿਤ ਹੁਤੇ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਕੇਸ ॥
jo tab at sobhit hute tarun tihaare kes |O women! Then your cases were very beautiful,
ਨੀਲ ਮਨੀ ਕੀ ਛਬਿ ਹੁਤੇ ਭਏ ਰੁਕਮ ਕੇ ਭੇਸ ॥੭੪॥
neel manee kee chhab hute bhe rukam ke bhes |74|They used to be of sapphire color (now) they have become silver colored. 74.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਕੈਧੋ ਸਕਲ ਪੁਹਪ ਗੁਹਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
kaidho sakal puhap guhi ddaare |Or having given flowers to all,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਚ ਸਿਤ ਭਏ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
taa te kach sit bhe tihaare |So your hair has turned white.
ਸਸਿ ਕੀ ਜੌਨਿ ਅਧਿਕਧੌ ਪਰੀ ॥
sas kee jauan adhikadhau paree |Or the moonlight ('jauni') of the moon has increased,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਯਾਮਤਾ ਹਰੀ ॥੭੫॥
taa te sakal sayaamataa haree |75|Due to which all the blackness has ended. 75.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਇਕ ਰਾਨੀ ਤਬ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਸਮਝਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
eik raanee tab kahiyo nripeh samajhaae kai |Then a queen explained to the king and said
ਮੁਹਿ ਗੋਰਖ ਕਹਿ ਗਏ ਸੁਪਨ ਮੈ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
muhi gorakh keh ge supan mai aae kai |That I was called Gorakh Nath in a dream
ਜਬ ਲੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਏ ਜਿਯਤ ਰਾਜ ਤਬ ਲੌ ਕਰੌ ॥
jab lau triy e jiyat raaj tab lau karau |That as long as these women live, then (you) rule.
ਹੋ ਜਬ ਏ ਸਭ ਮਰਿ ਜੈ ਹੈ ਤਬ ਪਗ ਮਗ ਧਰੋ ॥੭੬॥
ho jab e sabh mar jai hai tab pag mag dharo |76|When all these will die, you will step on the path (of yoga). 76.
ਸੁਨਿ ਰਨਿਯਨ ਕੇ ਬਚਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਭਈ ॥
sun raniyan ke bachan nripeh karunaa bhee |Hearing the words of the queens, compassion arose (in the king's mind).
ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਭੀਤਰ ਬੁਧ ਕਛੁਕ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਦਈ ॥
tin kai bheetar budh kachhuk apunee dee |He inculcated some of his knowledge in them.
ਜੋ ਕਛੁ ਪਿੰਗੁਲ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮਾਨ ਸੋਈ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
jo kachh pingul kahiyo maan soee liyo |Whatever Pingula (Queen) said, he accepted
ਹੋ ਰਾਜ ਜੋਗ ਘਰ ਬੈਠ ਦੋਊ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਿਯੋ ॥੭੭॥
ho raaj jog ghar baitth doaoo apane kiyo |77|And sat at home and did both Raj and Yoga.77.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਮਾਨਿ ਰਾਨਿਯਨ ਕੋ ਬਚਨ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਨਿ ॥
maan raaniyan ko bachan raaj kariyo sukh maan |By obeying the words of the queens (Bharthari) ruled happily.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪਿੰਗੁਲ ਕੇ ਮਰੇ ਬਨ ਕੌ ਕਿਯੋ ਪਯਾਨ ॥੭੮॥
bahur pingul ke mare ban kau kiyo payaan |78|Then on the death of Pingula, he went to Ban. 78.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਨੌ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੦੯॥੪੦੧੨॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau nau charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |209|4012|afajoon|Here ends the 209th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 209.4012. goes on
