ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਪੌਤ੍ਰ ਜੇ ਵਏ ॥
tin ke putr pauatr je ve |Their sons and grandsons,
ਰਾਜ ਕਰਤ ਇਹ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਭਏ ॥੨੫॥
raaj karat ih jag ko bhe |25|After them their sons and grandson ruled over the world.25.
ਕਹਾ ਲਗੇ ਤੇ ਬਰਨ ਸੁਨਾਊਂ ॥
kahaa lage te baran sunaaoon |As far as describing (their situation) I should listen,
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਸੰਖਿਆ ਪਾਊਂ ॥
tin ke naam na sankhiaa paaoon |They were innumerable, therefore it is difficult to describe all.
ਹੋਤ ਚਹੂੰ ਜੁਗ ਮੈ ਜੇ ਆਏ ॥
hot chahoon jug mai je aae |In the four ages who (were kings) came,
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਗਨਾਏ ॥੨੬॥
tin ke naam na jaat ganaae |26|It is not possible to count the names of all those who ruled over their kingdoms in all the four ages.26.
ਜੇ ਅਬ ਤਵ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਬਲ ਪਾਊਂ ॥
je ab tav kirapaa bal paaoon |If now I get strength with your grace
ਨਾਮ ਜਥਾਮਤਿ ਭਾਖਿ ਸੁਨਾਊਂ ॥
naam jathaamat bhaakh sunaaoon |If now you shower your grace upon me, I shall describe (a few) names, as I know them.
ਕਾਲਕੇਤ ਅਰੁ ਕਾਲਰਾਇ ਭਨਿ ॥
kaalaket ar kaalaraae bhan |take the names of Kal Ketu and Kal Rai
ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਭਏ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਘਰਿ ਅਨਗਨ ॥੨੭॥
jin ke bhe putr ghar anagan |27|Kalket and Kal Rai had innumerable descendants.27.
ਕਾਲਕੇਤ ਭਯੋ ਬਲੀ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
kaalaket bhayo balee apaaraa |Kaal Ketu became very strong
ਕਾਲਰਾਇ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਕਾਰਾ ॥
kaalaraae jin nagar nikaaraa |Kalket was a mighty warrior, who drove out Kal Rai from his city.
ਭਾਜਿ ਸਨੌਢ ਦੇਸਿ ਤੇ ਗਏ ॥
bhaaj sanauadt des te ge |From there he ran away and went to Sanoud country
ਤਹੀ ਭੂਪਜਾ ਬਿਆਹਤ ਭਏ ॥੨੮॥
tahee bhoopajaa biaahat bhe |28|Kal Rai settled in the country named Sanaudh and married the king’s daughter.28.
ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਭਯੋ ਜੋ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
tih te putr bhayo jo dhaamaa |The son who was born to him (Raj Kumari) in the house,
ਸੋਢੀ ਰਾਇ ਧਰਾ ਤਿਹਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
sodtee raae dharaa tihi naamaa |A son was born to him, who was named Sodhi Rai.
ਬੰਸ ਸਨੌਢ ਤਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਥੀਆ ॥
bans sanauadt tadin te theea |From that day Sanodh Buns went on
ਪਰਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਜੂ ਕੀਆ ॥੨੯॥
param pavitr purakh joo keea |29|Sodhi Rai was the founder of Sanaudh dynasty by the Will of the Supreme Purusha.29.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਪੌਤ੍ਰ ਹੁਇ ਆਇ ॥
taa te putr pauatr hue aae |From him (Sodhi Rai) the sons became grandsons,
ਤੇ ਸੋਢੀ ਸਭ ਜਗਤਿ ਕਹਾਏ ॥
te sodtee sabh jagat kahaae |His sons and grandsons were called sodhis.
ਜਗ ਮੈ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁ ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧਾ ॥
jag mai adhik su bhe prasidhaa |He became very famous in the world
ਦਿਨ ਦਿਨ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਧਨ ਕੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਧਾ ॥੩੦॥
din din tin ke dhan kee bridhaa |30|They became very famous in the world and gradually prospered in wealth.30.
ਰਾਜ ਕਰਤ ਭਏ ਬਿਬਿਧ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰਾ ॥
raaj karat bhe bibidh prakaaraa |(They) ruled in many ways
ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸ ਕੇ ਜੀਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਰਾ ॥
des des ke jeet nripaaraa |They ruled over the country in various ways and subdued kings of many countries.
ਜਹਾ ਤਹਾ ਤਿਹ ਧਰਮ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥
jahaa tahaa tih dharam chalaayo |Wherever he expanded the religion
ਅਤ੍ਰ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਕਹ ਸੀਸਿ ਢੁਰਾਯੋ ॥੩੧॥
atr patr kah sees dturaayo |31|They extended their Dharma everywhere and had the royal canopy over their head.31.
ਰਾਜਸੂਅ ਬਹੁ ਬਾਰਨ ਕੀਏ ॥
raajasooa bahu baaran kee |(They) performed Rajasuya yagna many times
ਜੀਤਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਦੇਸੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਲੀਏ ॥
jeet jeet desesvar lee |They performed Rajasu sacrifice several times declaring themselves as supreme rulers, after conquering kings of various countries.
ਬਾਜ ਮੇਧ ਬਹੁ ਬਾਰਨ ਕਰੇ ॥
baaj medh bahu baaran kare |(They) also performed Ashwamedha yagna many times
ਸਕਲ ਕਲੂਖ ਨਿਜ ਕੁਲ ਕੇ ਹਰੇ ॥੩੨॥
sakal kalookh nij kul ke hare |32|They performed Bajmedh-sacrifice (horse—sacrifice) several times, clearing their dynasty of all the blemishes.32.
ਬਹੁਤ ਬੰਸ ਮੈ ਬਢੋ ਬਿਖਾਧਾ ॥
bahut bans mai badto bikhaadhaa |Then the quarrel between (their) buns increased a lot
ਮੇਟ ਨ ਸਕਾ ਕੋਊ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਧਾ ॥
mett na sakaa koaoo tih saadhaa |After that there arose quarrels and differences within the dynasty, and none could set the things right.
ਬਿਚਰੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਨੈਤੁ ਅਖੰਡਲ ॥
bichare beer banait akhanddal |Groups of brave warriors began to roam
ਗਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਚਲੇ ਭਿਰਨ ਰਨ ਮੰਡਲ ॥੩੩॥
geh geh chale bhiran ran manddal |33|The great warriors and archers moved towards the battlefield for a fight.33.
ਧਨ ਅਰੁ ਭੂਮਿ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਬੈਰਾ ॥
dhan ar bhoom puraatan bairaa |There is an old enmity between wealth and land
ਜਿਨ ਕਾ ਮੂਆ ਕਰਤਿ ਜਗ ਘੇਰਾ ॥
jin kaa mooaa karat jag gheraa |The world hath perished after quarrel on wealth and property from very olden times.
ਮੋਹ ਬਾਦ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
moh baad ahankaar pasaaraa |Enthusiasm and pride are the causes of (this) spread of strife.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਜੀਤਾ ਜਗ ਸਾਰਾ ॥੩੪॥
kaam krodh jeetaa jag saaraa |34|The attachment, ego and infights spread widely and the world was conquered by lust and anger.34.

ਧਨਿ ਧਨਿ ਧਨ ਕੋ ਭਾਖੀਐ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਜਗਤੁ ਗੁਲਾਮੁ ॥
dhan dhan dhan ko bhaakheeai jaa kaa jagat gulaam |The mammon may hailed, who hath the whole world as her slave.
ਸਭ ਨਿਰਖਤ ਯਾ ਕੋ ਫਿਰੈ ਸਭ ਚਲ ਕਰਤ ਸਲਾਮ ॥੩੫॥
sabh nirakhat yaa ko firai sabh chal karat salaam |35|All the world goes in search for her and all go to salute her.35.

ਕਾਲ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਕਰਨ ਸੁਮਾਰਾ ॥
kaal na koaoo karan sumaaraa |There is no call count
ਬੈਰ ਬਾਦ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
bair baad ahankaar pasaaraa |None could remember KAL and there was only extension of enmity, strife ego.
ਲੋਭ ਮੂਲ ਇਹ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਹੂਆ ॥
lobh mool ih jag ko hooaa |Greed has become the basis of this world
ਜਾ ਸੋ ਚਾਹਤ ਸਭੈ ਕੋ ਮੂਆ ॥੩੬॥
jaa so chaahat sabhai ko mooaa |36|Only greed become the base of the world, because of which everyone wants the other to die.36.
